I have to agree with previous review that 5 guys does not even come close to comparable chain(In-N-Out). I ordered two burgers, hotdog and fries to go. Wondered at register why it was so expensive, but was too hungry and tired at the time to compute. Returned to hotel and opened up the bag and realized they had made and charged me for two doubles. After eating the first one, I couldn’t even take a bite of the second. I’ll give them kudos on beefy portion. But quality of food really does not stack up against In-N-Out. Also, the paper bag that all the food came in started seeping the grease/oil from the fries. After finishing the meal as best as I could, the food really sits on your stomach. All in all, 5 guys is just not for me. I’ll just wait and stick to In-N-Out once home.

Big Fan of 5 Guys. Always a consistent burger, with a nice assortment of toppings(For no extra charge). Can go from fairly exotic to plain ketchup and mustard, with a pickle. Recommend to anyone that likes a good traditional burger, but it not looking for some sort of Gourmet burger with Goat Cheese and bean sprouts as the toppings.

Five Guys is hamburger heaven! I became a fan of Five Guys years ago, and I was tickled when I found out there was one close by. My burger needs are simple. Cheese, bacon, ketchup. Yum! Anybody can do this, but it takes care to do it right. Five Guys knows how to cook their beef. I can’t say I have ever had a bad burger from any Five Guys location. If you like more toppings on your burgers, they have them. My burger is a simple, delicious pleasure. Five Guys is also know for their fresh fries, of which they give you a heaping helping. Great with ketchup! I prefer the plain or «Five Guys Style» but they also have a cajun seasoning they can apply. Yum, yum!

I wish a Five Guys would open up in Independence. Every location I’ve ever been to, including this one, at Legends, Lee’s Summit, Blue Springs and even Columbia has given me and my friends an identically awesome experience. They have wide, open kitchens for their staff to cook your meal without crying and sweating all over it and they are always friendly and polite. I like that they have complementary peanuts in the shell for you to have while you wait. It’s a great way for them to stir your appetite for the bad ass food you’re about to get. Their dining areas are always clean and there are always seats available, even when the place is packed. All the locations I’ve been to seem to be set up the same way, and are about twice the size of an average McDonald’s or bigger. The menu they have hanging up is genius: set up to make ordering your custom burger a breeze. I’ve noticed that even large groups of people get their orders in super quickly — even though burgers are custom — because their menu is idiot proof. Their food is made to order and it gets out to you in a hurry. The real reason I go to Five Guys: their fries. They fill the cup with them and then dump another scoop into the bag on the Little order. Split a regular order of fries with your friend or date. If I develop a heart problem and keel over at the age of 45 from eating at Five Guys, so be it. It will have been a life worth living.

You know what to expect from Five Guys! This is a great location that’s pretty busy most of the day. Burgers and fries are spot on as always. The only thing that stinks… this location is right around the corner(literally) from 9Round Kickboxing. Ahhhh… do you know how hard it is to resist a bag of hot crispy fries from 5 Guys when you are leaving kickboxing?! ;)

My two guys, love FIVE guys burger joint. Nice that a simple place can do things right. First ate at FIVE guys in Sarasota, the line was always out the door. My father in law, a burger lover, took us there, we each ordered a two patty burger, and one order of fries. I questioned him on the single order of fries, but he assured me we would be good. I think their fries are their signature move. Who puts a grocery bag of fries on the menu??? I think the fries are sized to feed FIVE guys. Add their seasoning, regular or Cajun, and you got a winner, winner, without the chicken dinner. The place is simple counter service with self serve drinks and condiments… everything is served to go in a brown bag. So you can eat in, or walk out, but if you stay grab some peanuts. They’re always out, so eat as many as you like. In Florida everyone dropped the shells on the floor, here, the idea has not caught on… I throw them on the floor, so if you see a mess, I’ve probably just been. They have burgers or dogs, I’ve never had the dogs. Burgers are cooked to order with as many as 20 different toppings that can be added, all included in the price. The burgers are D’LISH…added items can be grilled or raw, but be prepared, too many toppings, you better grab a knife and fork, they pile them high. I always get my burger loaded, minus cheese, awesome!!! The thing I like best about FIVE guys is, my family of 4 can eat 4 delicious burgers, and fresh seasoned fries, we drink water, for under $ 25, that’s hard to do these days…

Nice casual burger place with high quality meat. Burgers are cooked juicy to perfection here and come with a wide variety of toppings. Wash it all down with one of the thousands of combinations of coke beverages.

July 4th: Five Guys Burgers and Fries located at Skyview Ave in my opinion is in a good location. Not far from a Target, Best Buy, and many other surrounding businesses. I definitely enjoyed grabbing a cheeseburger and some cajun style fries. The menu is simple yet gets the job done. The staff at this location were friendly and ambitious. We didn’t have to wait very long for our cheeseburgers and cajun fries. This staff can put out food fast. This location has a small amount of outdoor seating. The location is kept clean. Way to go Five Guys Burgers and Fries –Skyview! Job well done! I’ll be going back.

I saw this video on youtube:
and it made me wanna try Five Guys for the first time. This is the closest one to my house, so my fiancé and i went for dinner last night. It was a first time for both of us. I got a cheeseburger, all the way, which has sauted onions and mushrooms on it as well as all the other fixins. it was really a double cheeseburger, it was cheesey, perfectly gooey melty cheese and it was meaty and it was frickin damn good. we will deffinately be back, a lot. super glad i saw this video and super glad i ate at Five Guys Burgers and Fries. i really cant wait to go back, it was a really good burger, and one order of regular fries is more then enough for 2 people and theres free peanuts. #KoolKeith9000SentMe

My family and I have eaten at this location since it opened. We have eaten here a few times a week up until a few months ago. One day we came in and all the staff had changed and not for the better. Got our order after a ridiculous wait, large fry was filled about ¾ full(had always been full plus bottom of order bag full too), patties were so thin you hold tjem up and see through them. This pattern has gone on for the past few visits and today was the breaking point. Ordered a chesseburger without a bun with two extra patties, asked the girl at the counter if she got the two extra patties before paying. She confirmed that she did and I paid. Looked at the receipt and they weren’t on there and went back to the counter. I asked her about it and she looked at me like I was speaking some language from another planet. I explained once again that I wanted 4 patties and she cslled over a guy to help decode what crazy message I was sending her. He could not grasp the complexity of these four patties going together and looked at me with the same look as the register girl. Lucky the mexican manager overheard my plea for four patties and said he’d take car of it. While walking back to my chair another customer had brought his food up to complain as well. As I’m sitting with my wife I watch one more gentlemen complain and was reimbursed. Our numbers called and we get our food. I open up my pan(no bun) to find minature hocky pucks! No pucking cheese on these pucks!!! Couldn’t hold my cool anymore. demanded money back and left! Looks like a parolee work release program has taken over in here! Looks to me like the franchise was sold to someone else and that pennies are worth the loss of good employees and product.

The burgers and fries are fine. What drives me up the wall is the NOISE level in the place. They have the music blaring every time we’ve gone in there. You can’t hear the people taking your order and you can’t have a normal conversation with the person sitting across from you. Guys — knock back the volume just a little. Please.

Five guys seem to be an up and coming place and is all the rage for burger horking fanatics. Sorry to rain on your parade but while I found this place good, there are still a few blemishes. On the positive side, all your burgers are cooked to order. You specify which toppings you want. All the stuff is made fresh including the fries, fresh cut fries hot from the fryer is a definite plus. While you are waiting for your made to order order, you can munch on the fresh salted peanuts they have around. Service is ultra freindly, I arrived about 15 before closing time and they still treated me well, even the person cleaning the tables didn’t flinch when I left a bunch of peanut skins on the floor while eating their peanuts. I got the order and all was hot and ready. Burger is a bit on the juicy side, so it can be a bit of a smelly mess to eat. They really load you up on the fries, but the big negative was that they salted the living crap out out of the fries. So they give me all these fries but I end up throwing most of it away because it was a salt bomb. Too much salt and a burger, while good, was too soggy for my taste. Thats what kept Five Guys at the three star level.

I had never been to a Five Guys when I stopped by to get a take home meal one night after work. The burger was huge and wrapped in paper, a personal favorite. But the fries… holy cow, the fries! One order of these is plenty for 2 or even three people. These are burgers the way I would make them at home and the staff here are fun and actually speak to you and thank you for your business instead of saying«no problem». The response«no problem» which I find in poor taste if not offensive is what i get from quite few fast food joints these days, particularly chains. I am giving you my hard earned cash, you bet it’s no problem. Anyway, I digress… bunny trails are a bad habit of mine! Get yourself to Five Guys for a burger and fries… good stuff. It is no problem and they will thank you!

Finally tried this place with all the hype… result: Not bad It made me miss In-N-Out back in Cali and I like the grilled taste. The eight-million-available toppings is a little intimidating at first but if you’re a regular i’m sure its nothing. Loved the taste and size of all the fries, and they have a crazy coke machine

I am in love with 5 Guys. This restaurant will make one who is trying to be vegetarian, break. The service is quick and cheery. I love anticipating… the FRIES. It was the fries, or maybe the peanuts. Or the cherry cream soda on tap. I wasn’t going to order just the veggie, go ahead 5 Guys, try and break me. They did! I don’t order cheese burgers when I eat out. but the fresh green pepper, sauteed mushrooms and grilled onions and cheese… I wasn’t about to eat an empty sandwich. I’m so glad I did it. The hamburger, cooked perfectly, and the sesame seed bun, and crispy fresh green pepper. That’s just a start. The fries are melt in your mouth on the inside, on the outside not really crispy but cooked kind of crispy. I’m in love with those fries. The extra scoop of potato goodness in the bottom of my bag, heaven. The cherry cream soda in the soda machine. I seriously couldn’t ask for a better restaurant. I wish one was out this way. We need one. There’s not one close at all. So 5 Guys, we will have a distant relationship. I can visit you but not all the time. I’ve not eaten at the one in ward Parkway, but I most certainly will.

I adore Five Guys and this location is no exception. Very fast and friendly service even during a busy hour. I love my burger with mayo, ketchup, mushrooms, and green peppers. Their fries are just so wonderful and I can’t get over how many they give you! There is nothing quite like an overabudence of fries. A lot of times you go to a restaurant and feel like you paid too much for such little quantity… never at Five Guys!!! A little burger(which is huge), fries, and a drink cost me $ 6.80. They have red cream soda as a fountain drink which is divine. Five Guys rules supreme when it comes to burgers!

We needed to hit the Target up north and needed lunch. I had read about the popularity of Five Guys and the nutty parking lot scene said it all. We walked into a red and white décor, similar to In & Out. Peanut shells and bags were all over the floor. I wish I had been more familiar with they’re serving sizes when I ordered. I got what I thought was a regular size hamburger and it was actually a double. My mom got a «mini,» which was really a regular sized burger. Luckily we were smart enough to order a large fry to split between 3 people… perfect. The seating kinda sucks, no booths. The fact that you get peanuts while you wait is cute, but the bags should go in back… there isn’t enough room. There was one waitress busting her butt to keep tables clean and everything organized… she was great. The burger was great. It is not better then In & Out, but blows any other fast food joint away. The fries are amazing. There was a dry erase board that said where the pottos were from in Missouri. In & Out should take a lesson in the tasty fry department. Really, my only complaint is no shakes. If I am going to blow all my calories for the day in one sitting, I want to go out with a bang… I want a shake. Hey Matt, no boots this time. I wore my Jessica Simpson wedge patent flats!
