Friends in KC suggested I try Minsky’s and I must say, I’m definitely a fan and I’ve suggested this place to my co-workers who will be heading to KC in the next few months. It’s a «gourmet» Pizza joint but a sports bar at the same time. They have Stella Artois in bottles, and it goes perfectly with their pizza. I had both the original crust and thin crust pizzas and it’s definitely GOOD!

In town for some training. Over last 3 – 4 weeks, have eaten here 4 – 5 times. Have tried delivery, take-out and dining in. Have tried the following: Pizza: 5 stars. Very satisfying and filling. Reheats well too! Wings: 4 stars. Meaty and better than most. Sauces were all very good. Calzone: 5 stars. My favorite item. Doughy and filling. Kept me coming back! Chicken parm: 1 star. Was over-cooked and burnt. Meatball grinder: 3 stars. Enjoyed the grinder, but wouldn’t order takeout again. By the time I got back to hotel, the meatballs had already soaked through the bread and it pretty much fell apart. Would definitely order again if dining in or if you only have a short drive back home. Definitely recommend to anyone in town and will definitely visit again the next time in town.

I’m still thinking of these wings and that sauce! These were some of the best wings I’ve had, and other guys at the bar were asking about them as we got them. I think once one person gets them, everyone who sees and smells them need to order them too. And oh yes, got the veggie meatball parm sub, which was so darn good. I tried a slice of their pizza too, and it was great. They use real Wisconsin cheese, and you can tell the cheese is what makes the pie. Everything here looked awesome. Gotta get those wings!

Best pizza in Kansas City. I grew up on this stuff and I wouldn’t want it any other way.

In my opinion, Minsky’s is above the typical Pizza Hut, Little Caesars, and other chain pizza restaurants. They have a great sports bar environment but it still works great for a family. Of course, it depends on which location you go to as for the exact layout but I would take kids of all ages there. This time we had their Cheeseburger and BBQ Chicken Pizzas. We also tried their garlic cheese bread and of course some white wine! Service was great and the food was delish!

If I could give 0 for service I would. Ordered pizza over an hour ago and was told it would be ready in 30. Now still waiting and pizza has not even been made.

I forgot how good it was — the Mediterranean was excellent. The lamb sausage, spinach and feta combination worked well together without one over powering the other.

Don’t bother. Unimpressed. Service was extremely slow(about 25 mins to get my pizza) and the communication from the server was horrible. I only knew her name because I heard her tell another table. She was completely inattentive and I had to try and get her attention as she walked by NUMEROUS times to the server station – never making eye contact or asking if I needed anything. I asked for a mushroom /spinach pizza with light cheese. Wow, if that was light cheese, would hate to see what full cheese is. It was very salty and had way too much cheese on it. In fact, when she brought the box and I told her that I didn’t want to take it with me because I really didn’t like it, her comment was«oh» and that was it. She didn’t bother to find out what was wrong, how she could make it better, etc. Unfortunately, I think Papa John’s is better than here – and the delivery driver has more of a personality than the server I had tonight.

Customer service is awful. We order a pizza and salad and the driver forgets the salad. We’re told«I can’t go back and get your salad» Chris, the«Manager», said there’s nothing they can do. Horrible service and they’re obviously not interested in retaining customers.

I got into KC late and needed food. With no options close to my airport hotel, I called Minsky’s for delivery. The house salad and pizza arrived at the promised time. The Mediterranean pizza was delicious and hit the spot. The house salad with peppercorn ranch had a nice variety of vegetables, but would have been better served to have an upgrade from iceberg. All in all, a good meal that saved the day. My main negative would be cost — $ 21 for a small pizza and salad in Kansas City is aggressive.

Minsky’s is a tradition in Kansas City. As a spot to visit in the northland, it is a good spot for family. Don’t need to worry about your kids wandering a little as it is open space and has an arcade area. The reason I give it a 3 is because I feel like it’s a little cafeteria. And some of the pizzas seem like they are trying so hard to put wacky stuff on Pizzas. There are other dishes but nothing really stands out. The pizza is large but not something with any special ingredient or crust. I go to Minsky’s. However when ordering it I would normally select another restaurant. If I have family in from out of town with kids, I would take them to Minsky’s. If going with my family out for Pizza close by, I would hit Pizza Shoppe where the pizza and salad carry a more flavorful punch.

Courteous, fast service and delicious food. The only drawback for our family is that they don’t have Diet Dr. Pepper. The 5-star cheese sandwich on sourdough is epic, and the fries are pretty good, too. The cheeseless veggie pizza on vegan crust is beautiful and well loaded with toppings. The cheese breadsticks are very generous for 3.99 and the dipping sauce has a good flavor. They have FrontFlip, so be sure to scan the code; we both won something on our first dine-in visit.

Meh. I remembers the pizza to be really good but it was just meh. I wanted to try something different(I eat too much papa johns) and try some place local and minksys won. Got papa minksys, pepperoni pizza, cheesy breadsticks, meat ravioli and the best was probably the breadsticks. I’ll probably stick to papa johns
Solid pizza, but I think it needs more try-outs from me and my wife. We’ve ordered from this Minsky’s twice. Delivery both times. First time, we ordered calzones. Very good and very filling. The other day, we got 2 small pizzas and 2 orders of breadsticks. The orders of breadsticks were large. If my wife had known they were that big, she would have ordered only one. However, they were not very good. We barely touched them. The pizza was very solid. I want to try mine on a different crust. My wife got me the hand tossed crust. It was chewy, which is fine, but really bready. I was wanting something with some crunch. It still was okay. More testing is required.

Visited here tonight for supper on the recommendation of a friend from KC. She recommended the Prime Cut pizza on original crust… and I was not disappointed. The pizza, similar to a Pizza Hut Meat Lovers pie, had generous portions of meat and cheese. It averaged almost ¾″ thick and, since the crust was relatively thin, that translated to plenty of meat. I ordered a small(10″) pizza because I was afraid the 6″ mini would be too small. The 10″ was a bit more than I could eat by myself. In addition to about 15 – 20 different«gourmet» pizzas, they have an extensive menu of salads, hot sandwiches and pasta dishes. Service was attentive(thanks, Megan J.!) and pretty quick(about 15 minutes from order to pizza on the table). My only real complaint was the price. Though the pizza was definitely tasty, $ 16.66 for a pizza and glass of iced tea(plus a tip) is a bit pricey. Had I ordered a mini pizza, sandwich or pasta and drink, the cost would have been nearer $ 12.

This Minksey’s Pizza has a great server. Her name is Rianna but she was wonderful. She was very attentive to both of our needs and addressed both of us whenever she returned. It’s been a while since both my company and myself were both treated the same. So customer service was amazing. This Minskey’s salads are also a lot larger than the one near Plaza and their white sauce was amazingly better as well.

I actually was looking for BBQ this evening, but the couple of places I contacted for ‘to go’ BBQ were out of a majority, I can only assume because of the game. I have always wanted to check this place out, so I thought, why not. I was thrilled to see they were not that busy — the Royals were playing and I expected it to be a little more crazy. Evidently I came in the wrong door — because when I asked about seating myself — I was sent through one room into the front of the restaurant which when I asked for a table, the woman acted a little put out and took me back into the original room I had come in by and seated me about 15 feet from the place I was sent to tour the restaurant. I ordered a sandwich which looked good and a mini pizza to go. The waitress was nice and started off attentive but quickly lost that focus. At one point she almost threw something she was bringing me on the table — caught herself and then barely listened to what I was saying so she could run and jump in some guys arms who walked in. The food was very good, the price was great — the restaurant lost a star for me due to the service. However, I would definitely go back — the pizza was great the next day as a leftover as well. 1.31.16 I am updating my review and adding a star. I have not been back back to eat in the resturant but I have made it a habit to pick up a pizza for my ride home and upcoming lunches. I even usually get it a bigger size so I can have it several days. I definitely enjoy this place and love their pizza.

My buddy Chris picked me up from the airport and asked, «what do you feel like eating?» As we were driving, he pointed out spots. I wasn’t really in the mood for anything specific. Then he said the magic words, «this place is the Nebraska bar.» STOPTHECAR! WE’REGOINGTHERE!” Minsky’s is an old school pizza place. TVs everywhere. Tables and bar stools filled with regulars. With the Royals a half game behind and playing Detroit, the place was packed and everyone was glued to the game. Well, until they imploded. I’m not a picky pizza person. Personally, I feel like the more toppings… the better. We went with a large, thin crust Jumbo Combo pizza and added jalapenos. Pepperoni, American and Italian sausage, hamburger, green peppers, mushrooms, onions, black olives. It hit the spot… at dinner when I had four pieces and the next morning when I ate one for breakfast. There are arcade type games for the kids. And the big kids. I won’t lie… I wanted to go drive the NASCAR one. Our waitress was really nice. She also helped us order. We started by trying to build our own pizza. Once she heard the toppings we wanted… she directed us to the Jumbo Combo. Said it would be a lot cheaper. Thank you for saving us! I’ll definitely hit up Minsky’s Pizza again when I’m back in KC.

Pizza is my fav! & minskys is at the top of my list for good pizza. It’s not to greasy, it’s nice & cheesy & the sauce is goood as well. Now, let’s talk about the crust! There are so many options… original, gluten free, wheat, thin & I think I missed one but they all are awesome. On the weekends & during sports seasons minskys is packed, delivery times are longer but pick up is usually a little quicker. There are tv’s everywhere & a game area for the kids or kid at heart. The bar seems to be fully stocked & the bar seating is always full.
