Far and away, hands down, best burger on Kauai. Grass fed beef grilled on an impressive flame grill, locally sourced ingredients, sweet hawaiian rolls from the bakery across the street, huge taplist filled with local and west coast craft beers. The burger ingredient combinations were stellar and well thought out, balancing flavorful beef with ingredients such as tomato jam, garlic aioli, smoked gouda, arugula, point reyes blue, fried egg, etc. Sea salt fries with home made ketchup were perfect compliment to the meal. I subbed out a ‘proper’ caesar with anchiovies that was just as delicious. Price point is higher but quality always cost more and this was definitely worth it. Nice reclaimed, industrial look inside with indoor and outdoor seating. The desserts passed by and looked equally appealing. Staff was attentive and friendly. We will be back.

First time visiting this amazing restaurant! The atmosphere was wonderful and the burgers were fabulous! The staff was very friendly and accommodating! We sat at the bar where the burgers are prepared and watched how the chefs worked their magic! The beer and wine selection is plentiful! If you are near Kapaa and are a fan of burgers this is a must visit place! Aloha!

Really tasty burgers with high quality beef. From reading a review about their strict no substitution policy and seeing that mentioned on their menu I was prepared to not ask for any. I’m not a fan of goat cheese or blue cheese so that limited my choices because I didn’t necessarily want a cheese-less burger. I got a simple cheese burger with Swiss cheese. Their burgers come with sea salt fries or you can choose a salad for an additional $ 2. I got a Caesar salad and it was really good(fresh made dressing and croutons). My husband got a bbq burger and we asked them to make a grilled cheese for my daughter. Everything was really good.

We were told by a local friend that this place was great. So when we walked in just after 12:30 to an almost empty space we were a bit wary. No need to be — the food was terrific! HUGE burgers stacked 5″ high and a big batch of fries. I Loved the fries and the chef’ secret recipe matchup but my French fry purist husband didn’t. We had reg cheeseburger and mushroom Swiss and split them both delicious!

I wanted to love this place, and most people clearly do, so I’m not sure what went wrong. We went for an early dinner and were immediately seated. We reviewed the menu and ordered drinks. The beer menu was awesome and included a Kona draught brew that was a limited release. Good stuff. The most perplexing thing about this place is that various, creative french fry preparations are ¼ of their menu, but all burgers come with plain fries and you are prohibited from upgrading to the fancy fries. That’s right, if you offer to give this place more money for enhanced fries, you get a firm«no». It’s insane. I could understand this is the menu was bigger than: burgers, fries, salads, and four random apps… but it’s not. There’s no justifiable reason to offer something for sale, include one of the several versions with your core product, and refuse to sell the other versions.(Although, you are allowed to spend $ 10 for a separate fry order on top of what comes with your burger. I actually would have considered $ 10 as an upcharge, but wasn’t going to tolerate their insanity to the tune of $ 10.) I know this is weird to focus on when reviewing a restaurant, but it’s so bizarre that it hurt my brain. So, after trying to wrap our head around the fry situation, we each ordered a burger. Their menu clearly states that no substitutions are permitted(this place is the most militant about customizations that I’ve ever encountered). Despite this, my wife asked if onions could be left off of an item and she was told that they would do that; the server explained that they only forbid adding things like bacon and egg to burgers that don’t already have them. Well, we can take the blame for this one, but despite being told this was something they would do, the burger came loaded with onions. The server noticed my wife removing them and offered to re-plate the burger, but by that time she was nearly done with the removal. My advice would be to not even dare this place to do something as off-the-wall(snicker) as holding onions. Stick to the letter of their menu. If it doesn’t suit you, go somewhere else. My burger, the Frenchie, was good, but it came with about 47 pounds of arugula on it, so I also had to endeavor an excavation project to reduce my burger to a height that could fit inside of a mouth. It almost felt like a joke. I’m seriously talking about a 4″ pile of greens. As we were nearing the end of our meal, I was asked if I wanted another beer, and this one took 10 – 15 minutes to arrive. Not the end of the world, but it left me sitting there wondering what the fries that I was forbidden from ordering would have been like. I’m watching the kitchen work and realizing that there’s zero justification for not selling people what they want. It’s just pompous. Street Burger boldly declares that they know what you want to eat more than you do. That’s the bottom line, and even their exceptional patty couldn’t overcome how snotty their system felt. I’d consider tolerating this if I was being offered some unique, complex dish. I can get a comparable burger elsewhere, and after trying Street Burger, I always will.

Ok, I know these aren’t the hole-in-the-walls you wanted to try on the island, but you should definitely give it try. Street burgers were great tasting along with their season fries. However, the food does come with a price. Two burgers which come with Fries ended up costing my wife and I $ 30-$ 40. I do recommend the garlic Parmesan fries though because those were delicious. This restaurant comes with a hipster, rustic vibe not traditionally found on the island, but nonetheless it’s worth trying. Spacious parking on the backside and very spacious inside. A lot of beer(krona brewing) on tap. Drop in if you have the time.

Best place I ate on the ENTIRE island! Decent prices especially for the general high cost everywhere in Kauai. I order the classic cheeseburger and it was perfect! Nice big and fluffy bun, fresh from the farm burger patty, and amazing FRIES! LOVED the FRIES! Honestly, if you’re on the island– you must try it!

Easily the best burger in Kauai, hands down, no questions asked. Have I tried every burger on the island? Nope, don’t have to after enjoying their meat masterpieces. A great selection of beers to go along with an excellent burger chased with a killer desert? Yes please! Grab your fat boy(or girl) pants and go to town here… You don’t regret it.

Best burger that my wife and I had in Kauai. We started off with the fried cheese… do I really have to explain that one? I mean it was smoked mozzarella deep fried… of course it’s gonna be phenomenal. We also got an order of their spicy fries which was served with a sriracha aioli which my wife and I both agreed that it was probably the best aioli we have ever tried. ’ On to the burgers: My wife just got there simple hamburger and I got the burger that had the smoked gouda, tomato jam, and fried egg. Both burgers were incredible. The flavor of the meat is like none other. We were kind of in a rush to get to a zip lining activity so I wish we could have soaked it in a little more. The atmosphere seemed really cool and very different then any other restaurant you will find in Kauai.

I’d hate to see these guys get too popular, but one dinner here and you’ll see why I gave them 5 stars. Street Burger is a fresh change from the fish tacos and Mexican restaurants that have sprung up everywhere on the island. Their homemade vegetarian patty is prefect with the paired toppings and the selection of local and craft brews is the perfect compliment to swish it all down with. Not to mention their addicting fries. Going to eat a burger may not be what tourists are looking for on an island abundant with local catch of the day specials, but if you have an extended stay and are looking for some variety, Street Burger is the place to try.

Amazing burgers and great selection of beers! I love how they cook everything over an open fire like cowboy days. You can even sit at a bar where the cooks are making the food.

Tim, our epic zipline guide in Lihue, recommended this place to us before all others so we knew we had to go. Lo and behold it was a short walk from our place we were renting! We had to go twice because we needed more! The first trip I ordered a lilikoi soda and a bacon bbq burger. I have to tell you that this is the best burger I’ve ever had in my life. Ever. Truly. The bbq here is perfectly tangy and has a different spice to it, which I really liked. The bacon was crunchy, the burger was juicy, and the white cheddar and crunchy onions were perfection. The lilikoi soda was lightly sweet and refreshing, and tasted great when combined with the mint lemonade my husband got. He ordered the street burger, which had pork belly, crunchy onions, and bleu cheese. We both agreed that the bleu cheese was way too heavy on this(though I’m biased, I hate bleu cheese). He loved the flavor and texture of the pork belly and crunchy onions though. The second trip, because we couldn’t resist a second trip, we both ordered the root beer on tap, which was really rich and tasted like licorice, in a good way, because I don’t really like licorice. I ordered the southern burger and it was amazing, though not as good as my original bbq bacon burger. The southern burger had fried green tomatoes, ranch dressing, and pimento cheese. Goodness it was glorious. My husband made a custom burger which was essentially a bacon cheeseburger with avocado. He was a happy camper! The burgers came with a huge side of crispy fries, which was appreciated especially because of the cost. The parking around here was easy. There is a big lot right next to the antique store designated for Street Burger. You should definitely try this place if you love a good burger!

Love at first bite. HOWCAN A SIMPLEFRENCHFRYBESOOOOOOOMUCHBETTERTHANTHELASTPILETHAT I HAD? OMG. The sea salt and the house made ketchup made it over the top great. Then the bacon and bleu cheese Burger. It’s like, have I never had bleu cheese on a simple Burger before? How can it be so much better than the last one I had? I never rate a burger place 5 stars. Holy grass fed beef patties, Batman. Best gourmet burgers we’ve had the good pleasure of eating. The END. Michelle our server was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. She recommended the Parmesan Garlic fries with house made ketchup. They were delicious. She also suggested I try the Frenchie and I happily obliged. Hubs saw the words«pork belly» and immediately ordered the Street. Which has a beef patty AND pork belly AND a fried egg. As Uncle Jesse would say, have MERCY. Hubs took one bite of his insanely obscene burger, groaned, I think he whispered«Wow» and then poof… The burger was inhaled. I’m no food critic but I play one on Unilocal… so let me be very clear. The Frenchie made ALL my burger dreams come true. It was like eating a perfectly delicious pillow of perfection. The bun, the Brie, the onions, the patty cooked medium rare were so, so tender and perfectly balanced. I walked straight over to the open kitchen and confessed my love to the Exec Chef/Owner. I’m for serious. They take pride in their food, their product, their kitchen and it truly shows. We upgraded our plates to have the Caesar salads and the salad alone was worth coming back for. We may not be able to get back to Kauai anytime soon but I pray that Street Burger will stand the test of time and be there to welcome us back with open arms and hands with a burger in each one. Stay gold Ponyboy. Stay gold.

This could be the best burger I have ever had. Three of us all were in love with the food were eating. The inside of this place is very nice and clean. Staff was happy and fun. The burgers were fresh and man just great. The fries were also amazing. The in house made ketchup was something I wanted to bottle up and take home. My mom who is not a burger fan said. she would go back over and over. Please go here and support this place. No chain could ever come close to the quality and taste! Also a nice selection of beers on tap.

All of their burgers or super tasty! My favorite is still the one with fried green tomatoes and pimento cheese. Perfect! Ketchup was on the sweeter side this visit, it tasted like they changed their recipe a little. Subbing fries for their Caesar salad is a good idea, the salad is perfectly seasoned, house made croutons, and then you can order a basket of special fries to share! Tried the new Orleans iced coffee today, it was really really good! Better than starbucks for sure! It’ll be my go to drink from now on.

We have a new favorite burger place in the islands! Great selection of burgers with accoutrements, fresh ingredients, great tasting burgers and excellent service. We don’t drink but they have a great selection of beer available, too. We had a BLT salad to share, which is essentially a wedge salad with fresh ingredients, pancetta, and very tasty blue chees dressing. My wife had the cheddar cheese burger in a lettuce wrap, and she really liked it and said the cheddar was very sharp and tasty. I had a bacon bleu burger and it was very good as well. They aren’t afraid to undercook the burger, like some places, so our burgers were provided medium rare as ordered. The fries were hand cut and very good. The only criticism, if there is any, is that we both felt the ketchup(which appeared to be house made or at least local) was a touch too sweet. As mentioned, our service was very good, very professional and attentive. We looked at the dessert menu but the desserts looked too heavy after the burgers, but they looked delicious based on the descriptions. We tend to try burger places where ever we go and this was one of our favorites. Highly recommended!

We found Street Burger in our search for a good burger in Kapaa. Needless to say they delivered a perfect 10! The burger was in my wife’s «top 10» and that’s saying something. The locally sourced beef had a fantastic, unique taste. We couldn’t quite identify the taste. Buns had a enjoyable sweetness. The fries were also fantastic with just the right amount of crisp. Their microbrew menu is the best we found on the east shore, quite a diverse selection. Christian was very knowledgeable on the beers on the menu along with the local brewery scene(all 3 of them on Kauai!). Highly recommended!

Food was great and surrounding . If you order a tea then everything changes and you feel like you where scammed. First they serve it in tiny glasses. Maybe 5 ounces then they fill the glass with ice and then you sipp it twice and empty and then you only get 1 refill and then they have to charge you again. So drink water and enjoy the food. Burger come with fresh local produce and lots of fries. A good meal just don’t tea. Aloha
