Believe it or not. this was my first time recycling cans and bottles. I used to toss them and decided one day to keep them. I crushed all my aluminum cans before hand and it came out to a full sized trash bag(the typical size you keep in your kitchen). I also had maybe 24 plastic water bottles. I wasn’t able to remove the caps from those so that took me a few minutes longer to take care of. Now I know to do this before hand as well. Crushing the cans are neither necessary but I did this so I wouldn’t have to lug so many bags. The process is quick. Pull up, park right there. Toss your cans and bottles in separate recycle bins. Slide it up to the gentleman standing in the huge container. He’ll pull it up, weigh it and slide it back. There is another gentleman who records the weight, you’ll sign and they get your cash. We made $ 10.00 that day, not bad. My daughter used it to get some ice cream near by. I like that its quick and you will always find parking. Bring hand sanitizer because the recycle bin is filthy.

Ugh… it was hot today! Took my daughter so she could help recycle all the water bottles. About 8 rubbish bags…25 $. It was worth it The employees were nice. Other than the other customer that took my rubbish bins that I set aside for myself… asshole. Thank goodness we wash out bottles out before throwing it in the bins at home. The donation center next to the recycling is awesome. The lady there is really personable and welcoming. Did some donations today too

LOVE that we do not have to travel so far from home just to recycle our cans from Last nights wild ‘n out party! It is Located on the Left side of Safeway. What’s not to love about recycling? You get your money back, and you are trying to save the planet one can at a time! The process was idiot proof, you separate your recycles by can, glass etc and it is weighed by the person that is there and ta-da! you get your cash. I feel dumb every time I go only because I only bring on large trash bag full of cans, and other people have truck loads of it. It is not my fault I cant stand having it in my car or house for so long.(Thanks to the TV show Hoarders). I mean it makes sense to save that much cans anyway because the more you save of cans the more money you get! So recycle my fellow Unilocalers! Its easy, and you feel better that you are doing your part in the world by going green!

My fiancé and I always come here to recycle our cans. bottles and plastics. They are always fast and even if there is a line, it moves rather quickly. Most of the time there is enough parking and the service is quick and friendly.

I’m a huge«go green» person — so of course, this would get five stars. I think first and foremost it is great to see people out recycling! That is so important. Secondly, the workers were so kind. The job doesn’t seem to great — but they were very kind and made the experience quick, easy and painless. Kudos to them! We came on a Saturday, initially that morning but the line was crazy! So we deicded to come back. We came back later that afternoon right after their lunch break! We just had good timing — first person helped after they opened up again. But the line showed up quickly. Just recycle. Seriously!

I come here at least twice a month to do my recycles. I’m making sure I do my part to save our planet and on the same token, raising money for office functions. They have at least 20 locations on this island and the work space is a big shipping container. They are usually situated in a parking lot and near businesses. This recycle center is right next to Safeway and off Farrington Hwy you can turn in as soon as you see Tesoro gas station. It’s far from being a fabulous job, but the workers here are really likable and pleasant to deal with. When I say not pleasant, the smell is horrific for them to tolerate all day. The process of the recycling is they weigh the recycles in a large trash bin, make sure they calculate the prices and refund every penny that you’re due. They keep this location as organized as it can get. I wish I could remember the prices, but on my next trip I’ll take a pictures of the posted refunds. Did you know we can recycle our spam cans? They’ll also accept the usual glass bottles, aluminum can, and of course plastic bottles. #040/365 Reduce, Reuse & Recycle! Go Green!
