The crab cakes are flaky & wonderful. The remoulade sauce is very good mix I also had the shrimp panini which is more of a sub sandwich with blackened shrimp. More sauce. The bread is so good and fresh. The house sauce again compliments the shrimp. She had spaghetti and meat sauce and thought it very good.

Been here a couple times and it’s a solid restaurant. Love their chicken Parmesan. The Alfredo that comes with it is to die for. Their pizzas are good too. I just think it’s a little overpriced for what you get.

I love this place! It’s a great place to hang out, eat, and chat! I definite recommend. This is my 2nd time here and I have not been disappointed either times. Food: Shrimp Picatta –This is my favorite item on the menu! It’s fresh pasta, with breaded shrimp, and lemon butter sauce. It fills you up but is light enough to have dessert afterwards. Artichoke Dip — Great item to share! It comes with crispy bread croutons, and has chunks of artichoke! Great flavor and comes out hot! Tiramisu — So delicious! It’s just the right amount of sweetness and very moist cake. Cannoli: Extra crispy outside, with a delicious cream filling(on the sweeter side). Service: The waiter was attentive and food came out in a timely manner. Atmosphere: It’s in old Katy, so it has a real hometown feel to it. There aren’t that many tables there but it’s good for a small group of people. Other Comments: Parking can be kind of tight. You can part in the parking lot if you find a spot, or in the street. This establishment is BYOB!

Last night was our first, but not last, visit to 5th Street Italian Kitchen. We LIKE to try(and support) small, local businesses. Why go to a chain(Olive Garden, etc.) when there’s an alternative? Sadly, the food is pretty much just a hair better than a chain but the atmosphere — from the greeter cat(and the treats on the fence for patrons to give the cat), to the décor and the BYOB policy — is better. Our table had: — bruschetta — which is NOT bruschetta but a ‘bruschetta panini’ which was over oiled and didn’t have enough mozzarella(C+) — Chicken Parmesan(B+) — Fettuccine Alfredo(B-) — Pomodoro(B-) — Primavera(B+) — Carbonara(D). The dishes tend to run on the salty side(except the Carbonara which was EXCESSIVELY salted) and the salads are overly dressed. We know better how to order next time and will try some of their other offerings. There was a mix of ‘date night’ to families to older couples with seating inside and on the patio being utilized. This is NOT a kitchen prepared to deal with large parties, even our 6-top was a challenge in terms of consistency of food being hot.

My wife and I went Saturday night, and it was great! Very small, and a but close to a loud 4 top, but the food was delicious, and the server was very nice. We’ll definitely be back.

This was our first visit. We dined in. The restaurant is cute, small and quaint. We are always looking for good pizza but this didn’t make the cut in our opinion. We ordered the house salad which could of been so much better if the lettuce had more crunch to it. We also ordered a simple 16″ cheese pizza and the crust tasted like and had the texture of cardboard. The only complaint about the service is that the waiter came off unfriendly. Unfortunately we won’t be coming back. The two stars is for the location.

The food was wonderful. I had the chicken parmigiana with fettuccine alfredo, my husband had the baked ziti. We both enjoyed them thoroughly. Even the basket of garlic bread was delicious. We chose to eat outside on the patio(lovely and quiet), so I can’t say anything about the décor. The service was adequate.

Love the atmosphere and the food. Great date place too. It has a nice small patio area too. It is tucked away in the back of a very small area. The meatballs were fantastic and the bread OHMY! You have to try the house dressing too. It is a great surprise in a nice quaint neighborhood away from all the hussle and bussle.

Excellent food & friendly server. Lasagna reminded me of my mother’s. Best I’ve had around here. Wife’s veggie pizza was very good, but she liked it better after adding some of my tomato sauce. We will return and would recommend to anyone.

Their pastas are VERY good. The chicken parm and the pizza were both average. But my wife and I would definitely go back for that fettuccine alfredo.

We ordered delivery from this place for the first time tonight. Pros: Cost was in the reasonable range. Delivery time was good, especially for a Saturday night. Plus, the food arrived warm to hot. Cons: The calamari is way too breaded. It’s basically fried breading… so this was in no way worth the cost. The crust was not my favorite, it’s sort of bland. Overall, the pizza was ok. Nothing to write home about, nothing to complain about. Which, isn’t really what you’re looking for when you order food.

Our family has dined at 5th Street Italian Kitchen 4 or 5 times. We love it. We try something new everytime. The calamari is amazing. The Lasagna and Fettuccini Alfredo with Shrimp are some of the best my wife and I have ever had. And to make the whole experience even better… Its BYOB. Definitely worth trying.

This is a hidden gem. Great ambiance, cozy and quaint. They have a small outdoor seating area which I thought was nice. Excellent food and good service. I got the Veal Piccata. It was delicious! I’ll definitely be back!

So happy to find this place. It’s like a Collina’s in Katy. Delicious pizza, calamari, and great service. Outdoor seating available and a friendly orange tabby as a door greeter. First visit but I’ll be back to try more.

This is what Italian home cooking is about! Jason and his team are responsible for one of the better Italian restaurants I have ever eaten at. It was a little ways of the beaten path, but well worth it. There were nothing but compliments from each member of our stringent party. Javier and Jason accommodated each and every request made by our group. This restaurant should be a must on everyone’s list, you will not regret it. And it’s BYOB.

Wow. Just WOW! Went to 5th Street as a recommendation from my husband’s father. We will be back again and again. We had the calamari, blackened salmon, veal piccata and Alfredo. Everything was obviously made with the freshest ingredients and of high quality. My entire family(kids included, 11 and 13) now proclaims this out favorite restaurant. We ALL name this as our new birthday restaurant. Can’t say enough about how delicious everything was. My hubby and I could not stop talking about it! Go ahead, treat yourself, you’ll be glad you did!

I really enjoyed this dining experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is clean and quaint. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive. I ordered the margarita pizza and my husband had the spaghetti. Both were delicious. I have yet to try their tiramisu, which is a MUSTTRY for all Italian restaurants in my opinion, so I will be updating my review once I have tried that. I recommend this place if you are looking for some yummy Italian food. Also they deliver, we live about 6 miles out, but they said for an additional charge they would deliver to us! BYOB.

This a little cozy Restuarant def met my all my expectations. Although, it was busy during dinner time the staff and J.T. was very tentative and caring for my request. Thank you for providing such great service. Now let’s talk about the food, I pre-ordered a half veggies & half Old uncle Joe(meaty) pie. It was , even my family complimented that it was their best tasting pizza ever. 2nd item, regular spaghetti – added meatball & Italian sausage. We killed this plate. In additional, took some leftover to-go. Overall, it was such an awesome experience. I def will be back or even order to-go.
