Loved our waitress, very on top of taking care of her customers. Love the food. I always get the teriyaki chicken, never disappointed. My husband and son get the sushi. They order something different each time and never a compliant. One of our favorite restaurants.

If you’ve read my reviews on sushi restaurants then you’ll know I am all about the rice. Sushi rice is what makes it sushi, not the presentation, not the toppings or fancy names, not the drama of making it… it’s the rice. I’ve tried my hand at making good sushi rice and it’s an art. The rice needs to be the right type, cooked and cooled just right and combining it with that magic elixir of vinegar, salt, sugar and mirin. There is fanning and cooling and careful mixing. It’s a bit of a process — not real hard but the technique takes practice! When I recently ate at Osaka for Father’s Day I noticed that they didn’t do any of that to their sushi rice. It was the same sticky rice that they served with their bento and teriyaki plates. Consequently, the taste of the sushi was lacking that mild vinegar, sweet taste characteristic of classic sushi. Sad. In fact, there was surprisingly little taste to the sushi since the wasabi seasoning was also left off. Maybe it’s a new chef but it was certainly mediocre sushi if you’d even call it sushi… My favorite in the Tri-Cities is Sushi-ya, with Sushi Moro a close second. Osaka needs work, IMHO.

This is our favorite place to go. The price is about the same as going to McDonald’s for us. The staff are great, and the food is the best in the area.

maybe a 2 ½ star, so it’s basically a mediocre 2 Star Chinese Restaurant masquerading under this Osaka Japanese moniker, no possible way this is anywhere near a Japanese restaurant. just a sample example. .the spring rolls are totally from same factory which the other«chinese joints» all use and it’s how I can begin to see who really is behind the kitchen door. the sushi is vitually the exactly as you’d get at Fred Myers deli. the other Chinese restaurants all know the routine. :( no Japan here. …there are 100’s of these Chinese teriyaki joints around seattle this is just another extension and it’s most definitely happening here. expose them for what they really are and please learn what REAL japanese food is, it’s different and much much healthier and way better:

4 stars because the food was good with great portions and good service, but I think there is potential for this place to develop. It’s a small and sort of cafeteria style of environment, somewhat noisy and crowded, not a place you would want to take a first date. But it’s a great lunch spot or quick dinner.

Rice was amazing(light vinegar, fresh tasting), sashimi had great flavor and teriyaki was tender with those crisp grill marks(love that). Service was fast and friendly. We will be coming back when we are in the Tri-cities area.

Came here on a Sunday because we were making the pilgrimage from Moses Lake. The sushi itself was good, not out of this world but it was decent. The rolls were typical of a sushi restaurant that doesn’t branch out with wild flavors. The downsides were more noticeable. The radio was tuned to a country station(which is tasteless) and was bordering on too loud. We weren’t asked if we wanted to sit at the bar. Instead, we were placed in a booth between two families with small children(we are a childless couple). The menu listed soda but did not specify what. And the bathroom was the fanciest space in the building. Basically, not the worst but not worth visiting again.

I never dine in, so I have no clue what the table service is like. Honestly I think they are a little over priced. My personal favorite is the Kennewick Roll. I order one just for me. It’s $ 11 but I keep ordering it. It’s Damn good. anything that makes me crave another one is worth 4 stars. Maybe if they work on the price, HAHA or I experience some great customer service I would give 5 stars.

Nice atmosphere. The outside kind of gives off the impression that it is going to be a very fancy type of restaurant… Not so, at all, once inside it is a clean nice all around casual sushi place. Food was very good. Prices little bit on the spendy side but, I will be back.

2 wontons in my bowl of won-ton soup?!? I think I just got robbed! Other than that the food is alright for a Japanese restaurant. I usually get their mediocre teriyaki chicken and also an order of egg rolls(which are fine). Every time I have been in I have been disappointed with the staff interaction, but I always get stuff to go so I don’t really spend much time conversing. The restaurant also charges .50 for an ounce of soy sauce, which I don’t think I have ever seen throughout my extensive history of Japanese restaurants. Even after all of my negative experiences and disappointing visits I’m sure I will keep coming back because there is not many other places close by that can tickle my Asian fancy. With this being said, If you want to drive ten to fifteen minutes though there are some pretty good spots.

Just walked out after A RUDE waste of a 20 minutes. Greeter asked us, frowning, if we were picking up to-go. We said no, and she stared demonstratively at the clock, which read 8:02. They close at nine. I asked, «are you still open?» She said, oh I guess so for another minute. I assumed she meant 58. We were seated and reviewed a prosaic and uninspiring menu of expensive rolls and typical teriyaki and bento offerings for eWA. Still we selected rolls and were ready… for a long time. Then we saw our waitress closing out the till and five tables waiting to order. Time to leave and there’s no reason to go back. Went next door to the new zpizza; it was bomb.

For a «family restaurant» as their sign advertises I’m disappointed that they don’t even have a diaper changing station in bathroom. Also when I asked for a kids menu they said they don’t have one but they have French fries. Really! That says something about our society. I like the food but the only family thing here is a highchair.
