I had an awesome cod sandwich with dill cream sauce and a Bloody Mary that was to die for but service was a little on the slow side. Definitely worth the trip to Kenosha, though.

First experience at Ashlings and it was wonderful. If you are looking for a fantastic Bloody Mary and great service go see bartender Logan!

Went for lunch this afternoon, we started with the drunken mushrooms win crostini. The mushrooms were amazing very flavorful however, the crostini was definitely not freshly prepared, it was so hard that it was almost impossible to cut through it. Really ruined the whole dish. My husband ordered the burger, he asked for it medium rare and wanted bacon and Swiss. I had the cod sandwich. My sandwich was delicious! The burger on the other hand was almost well done and not sure if the kitchen ran out of bacon, it looked as though they grabbed the broken scraps at the bottom of the pan in an attempt to make it a bacon burger. Very disappointed. The service was outstanding. Just seems to be a problem with consistency with the kitchen.

The upscale Irish pub of Kenosha, if you are looking to get away from the usual dives for an evening. The atmosphere and courteous staff is the best part of any visit here, which make you feel welcomed and at peace. I have occasionally come here on my own, with just a book to read, and chatted with the bartenders. Especially with its spot right on the harbor, it is perfect for a summer night, sitting out on the small patio. The drinks are definitely overpriced, in line with its upscale atmosphere, but it is worth it every once in a while.

Been here 3 times and it has always been great, the only concern I’ve had is that they do not offer many options for people with an Alpha Gal allergy(ie not too many chicken and fish entrees, but it’s an irish pub so I can’t complain much). Beautiful atmosphere, good food, and nice waitstaff. Good beer and wine selection, tons of pepper in their bloody mary though.

This place could be awesome if anyone heading up this premises cared. The food is nothing like traditional food actually served in Ireland pubs. The menu is what people who have never been to Ireland think they serve on the Emerald Isle. The bartenders are rude and pretention is really the leading dish on the mundane menu.

For many years this was my go to Restaurant and Bar, I had known the staff and even participated in the St Baldrick’s events. I spent many nights there, until part way through 2013. I know there was a change in management, clearly those running the business made a decision they felt was right. However once that change was made the changes continued. The menu was changed, the quality of the food and service both declined. The previously happy staff now seems overworked and entirely unhappy. Things have gotten so bad at Ashling we no longer frequent, and haven’t been at all since February. During Kenosha Restaurant week we were excited to support our former favorite place, and see what was on the specials menu! My family made. Reservation for 7, but arrived approximately 20 minutes early. The«GM”/bartender was rude and refused to seat us until our reservation time though there were many open tables. He then walked away and into the kitchen, not to be seen again. The waitresses were so apologetic and said they wished there was something they could do. We opted to go to another restaurant participating in Restaurant Week and turned to leave. Another waitress ran up and apologized, but said she understood why we were leaving. As we exited the building the GM was standing outside the kitchen door having a cigarette. He said«Listen folks, your reservation isn’t until 7, I will get you seated at your scheduled time» We said no thanks as clearly his time off was more important than our patronage. I am saddened by the current state of Ashling and hope someday it goes back to being the place I love.

Small outdoor patio has a great view of the harbor. I loved the great Irish feel as soon as I walked in, and the proper Guinness pour –with the shamrock in the head– was a good sign. The menu is chocked full of traditional Irish classics, as well as a few twists. I was extremely happy with the simple pot roast, and I plan to return while in town to try another dish. Service was very polite and prompt. Overall, this is an excellent execution of a very common theme.

We were pleased to find this place as we biked south along the lakefront late afternoon on a sunday. Cute place inside; looks like County Clare in MKE only red where County Clare is green and this place is much more spacious. Indeed it is owned by the same group that owns County Clare. Has a few tables outside. Our waiter was friendly and patient and let us sample a beer before selecting. There was a little bit of a lag when he went to get our beers but otherwise timing was ok. We had Irish chips with mild curry sauce with Peroni on tap. And let me put more emphasis on the MILD… it was a very very mild curry sauce. Personally I’d like more flavor but it was still pleasant tasting. I appreciated that they had bowls of water out for dogs and a harp shaped bike rack. If you’re gonna be Irish, you gotta have hospitality. Its located in a really cute modern condo-ey neighborhood and has a nice view of the Marina. Not a bad place for a respite from a hot bike ride.

We went up to Kenosha for the Fourth of July because they have the best fireworks show close to us. Plus it is so much fun to BBQ with your friends on the beach. We were the first to arrive on the scene because parking is insanity around the area, so while we waited for the rest of our group to come, we decided to stop in here for a quick drink. It was very nice inside. They give off a cozy, homey vibe just like Irish pubs are supposed to do. They were packed because of the holiday and the fireworks would take place right outside their door so everyone was in that area either bbqing or enjoying the carnival across the street. We sat by the bar and received pretty good service for how busy it was. At first my boyfriend and I just ordered 2 beers, but that quickly changed once they started making the Bloody Marys in front of us. They made those bloody marys with such fluidity it was like a performance in front of us. Watching them make this creation made you have to get one. My boyfriend loves Bloody Marys and thought they were great. I’m not a huge fan of bloody marys but I wanted to give this one a try since it was supposed to be the best. I didn’t think it was amazing, but I don’t think I’m the best judge. Overall, it was a great experience you should try if you are in the area.

To start we had drunken mushrooms. The crostini was too crunchy like old break a window crunchy. It was so old that it couldn’t absorb the sauce and stabbed your mouth when you tried to bite and chew. Way too much alcohol overpowering the flavourless cream sauce. The only flavor that I could taste was alcohol. I felt like they didn’t balance or compliment the mushrooms at all. The waitress kept disappearing for too long of a period without refilling beverages and kept forgetting napkins. The Irish stew had a good amount of rosemary, I couldn’t tell if it was lamb or beef as the meat tasted unremarkable and too mushy. The mashed potatoes were nice and whipped but too much black pepper in them. The steak meal was nothing special it had the same white flavourless cream sauce on top as the appetizer. The mashed potatos also had too much black pepper. Overall I would not return.

This place is known for their Bloodys. I’m not a fan of tomato juice with my alcohol but anyone I know who does loves it here and swears they are the best in town. I’ve tried the food and it’s decent, nothing special. The location is great, literally the lakefront is just outside of the building.

Slow service; had to wait 10 minutes for a coffee refill, when there were only 4 tables and 3 servers. We finally called over a server from another table to get our refills. High prices and they were already out of stuff(about 10 minutes after opening). Advertised free seasonal fruit, but none came. All this and the price for the meal went up $ 1 from last time. Just a bunch of small things, which added up to a not so good experience.

I’ve eaten here a handful of times. There’s a couple items I wouldn’t order twice, but there’s a few that were really delicious. Meatloaf is something I usually wouldn’t order when I’m out to eat, but i took the waiters recommendation & they nail it! The Bloody Mary’s are damn good & the little clover on the head of a Guinness is a nice touch. The service here has been very friendly. Since its a bit pricey it’s not in my typical rotation, but if you’re looking for something different I’d give it a try.

Always a safe bet for a pleasant dinner and drinks. The MUSSELS are so good that I had them every time I came here, without even bothering with the menu. If you’re very hungry, add some SMOKEDSALMONSALAD onto the order. But if you only have room for one, you’re in a pickle, because both dishes are delicious. They might have some other good things on the menu, but every time I’m here I refuse to miss my chance to get some of their Mussels and Smoked Salmon Salad! Oh, and they have hot apple cider in the winter! Friendly bartender when you need him, stays back when you’re want to be left alone. P. S. Gentlemen, if you must watch the game during a date with a girl who is not into sports, this place worked well for that. Pleasant environment for the girl, and she won’t feel like a fish out of water in a sports bar. The only bad thing: Some nights they have live music, and it’s very loud. You won’t be able to hear your party.

One side of my family is Italian and the other side is all Germanic-y(Swiss, Austrian, etc) so where do we choose to go for Easter brunch? An Irish pub of course! We discovered while researching this place that they also own my neighborhood County Clare, along with several Irish pub restaurants in Wisconsin, and offer reasonably priced trips to Ireland throughout the year. (We also discovered that Italian families can be loud for even an Irish pub but I digress…) So good, somewhat creative brunch fare with an irish twist at a reasonable price. The place is set in a newish building in the center of Harborpark next to the marina. It had a modern irish pub feel to it. We started with bacon wrapped dates. Delicious — maybe a tad too sweet and rich with the maple syrup that they were plated on but otherwise very good. I had a Veggie Eggs Benedict which came with your choice of potatoes(I went with“bubbles and squeak” — potatoes mashed with bacon and lightly fried). It came with a side cup of fruit which offered a nice light balance to all that bacon and hollandaise. Most of the brunch items were under $ 10 which seemed like a good deal. For $ 11.95 you could get a full English breakfast. I also tried a Moscow mule(because again, what do you order at an Irish pub but a Russian drink?) Soooo good though! Why have I always shied away from this drink in the past?(I think I always assumed it was some sort of beer cocktail because of the ginger beer.) Anywho, it was excellent! The drink menu was pretty extensive(they had some crazy concoction on there called«Kennedy’s mistress» which sounded super sweet!) Im a fan of this place. Also, love what is going on down in Harborpark — almost makes me miss my hometown!(Almost ;).
