The journeyman and an apprentice did a good job but were not given detailed information on our projects from Ryan, VP of Operations, so they had to run to Home Depot twice to get what they needed. Ryan came to our home to give an estimate and he took numerous pictures — we thought to give to workers to prepare for the work we needed done. Though journeyman Codi was good, the projects took too long to complete. Additionally, the initial quote was very high so Ryan said he would send a journeyman because the hourly rate would be less; however, we were charged the full electrician hourly rate at the completion of six hours(under protest) plus we had to pay for an apprentice that we didn’t know was coming. We are trying to resolve the high charges but Ryan will not return our calls. I am sure Dear Electric is a good company and has good people, but Ryan was not upfront with us and does not represent Dear Electric well.

We bought an old house in Maple Leaf neighborhood, not far from Dear Electric. We wanted to do some renovation of the house. David came out and gave me a fair estimate of all the electrical projects. They showed up on time to do the work even over the weekend. They were professional, capable and quick. I’m impressed by their responsiveness and especially the honesty of David. They actually charged exactly what they estimated. Overall I am very pleased with the work. I highly recommend them and sure I will be using them again in the future.
