I went back for breakfast and had the eggs Florentine. It was pretty good. I can see why it’s a popular dish. One of my daughters had the French toast, which I tried and was happy with as well! I would come back for breakfast.

The service was great. The food was pretty average, but I did NOT have any pastries or bakery items which I’m sure would have warranted more stars. I only ordered breakfast.

Was wondering why this place was empty on a Saturday afternoon… food is extremely overpriced and not very good at all. Caesar dressing tasted funky and $ 10 half sandwich consisted of turkey, tomato, lettuce, and crappy cranberry aioli m. Never again

Best breakfast/lunch place in Kent. I have been going here since I have moved here year and half. When my out of town friends&relatives come to visit I bring them here. My favorite dishes is the egg florentine, chicken tostadas and any one of the baked goods. There will be times I would just to stop in to pick up some baked goodies.

Wild wheat has become my new favorite brunch place in Kent! For breakfast, there has never been a wait time and the service is speedy. The longest I’ve had to wait has been 15−20min on Sat/Sunday around 11am. Their stollen French toast is delicious. It’s nutty, sweet and the maple syrup definitely came straight from the sap of a sugar maple tree instead of a mislabeled bottle of high fructose corn syrup. Tried the mocha with soy milk. If you want a sweet caffeinated drink then opt for the hot chocolate with a shot of espresso instead of the mocha. Personally, I liked the unsweetened mocha — it was all coffee with an undertone of cocoa. Speedy and friendly service for the restaurant. A bakery with a large variety — from bran muffins to really decadent hazelnut chocolate cookie cakes(definitely a must have!). Would recommend this place without hesitation. Limited omelette options for vegetarians.

We came here for brunch on a Saturday at 10:30am. The restaurant was very busy at this time, and like other’s have mentioned, it was pretty loud. We tried the stollen french toast and crab omelette, both of which were super tasty. The best however was the desserts we took home for later. The chocolate mousse was out of this world delicious. The scones we took home were just ok, a little bit dry.

By Far the best breakfast in Kent!!! GREATFOOD, Friendly staff, quick service, good atmosphere. I had the Eggs Benedict and I can honestly say it was up there with the best I’ve ever had. The only reason I didn’t give 5 Stars were, that I wished there would have been a little more ham with the Benedict. For $ 15 it felt a bit skimpy the ham was fantastic so layer it on! Also the large open floor plan makes for a slightly above average ambient noise level but nothing that would be unexpected. I would DEFINITELY recommend this plan and I will be returning!!!

It is killing me to make this review. I have been a loyal customer of this restaurant for over 12 years. In the last two years there has been a lot of turnover in staff and the service is not very good anymore. The only good server left from the older guard has tattoos and blond hair. If you do go make sure to get her. The guy we had today, we didn’t see for almost 20 mins and all of our drinks, water included, where empty for 10 mins of that. The cooks just don’t care anymore. Food is not consistent. Eggs are either overdone or way under. I used to love the eggs florentine but today when I was in, it tasted like the brined the spinach In chemicals. I love this place and I hope they turn it around soon or it will become just another place that is meh.

We arrived at about 9:45 on a Sunday morning and asked to sit outside so we could bring our two small dogs with us. The restaurant was crowded but did have about 5 open tables including the 2 outside. Our menus and waters came quickly and I ordered a latte and French toast, and my boyfriend ordered the eggs florentine. The latte came with a cute leaf design and I ordered it without syrup(which is an additional charge). I really liked the French toast, and I thought the eggs florentine was OK but my boyfriend really liked it. He says their hollandaise sauce was great. Overall good service and good food with an option to bring our dogs! It’s not at the top of my list for best brunch places because I’ve had tastier versions of their menu items and usually at a cheaper price, or with more food on the plate. Would recommend to try at least once if you are in the area but this is not a place I would go out of my way to get breakfast or brunch. Prices: Eggs florentine $ 15 French toast $ 9.95 Latte $ 2.50

This was supposed to be a redemption review for their breakfast because the first and last time I went here, it was a bit disappointing. I ordered the eggs florentine then. However, new day = new chances. We came here some time around 11 am on a Tuesday and I guess they don’t serve breakfast after 11 am… It was sure a bummer because the whole point was to eat breakfast food, but at least we were told that lunch was only being served and were asked if that was okay right when we walked in. We were seated right away and the service was good. Nothing from their lunch menu drew my attention so I opted for a salad. I ordered a large caesar salad with grilled salmon. $ 10 for the salad and an additional $ 6.50 for the grilled salmon. I can’t remember the last time I paid that much for a salad, but I must say it was extremely satisfying. Surprisingly it was actually a large portion. I ordered a large and got a large, very good very good. Also the proportion of dressing to greens was on point. Home made croutons were delicious and no complaints about the salmon. My dad ordered a sandwich with fries. I tried the fries and they were definitely steal-worthy! My mom had this eggplant/butter squash linguine dish and my mom really liked it. However, I didn’t find anything special about it. Although lunch was better than I had expected, I wouldn’t recommend this place for lunch. I eat out to treat my taste buds to something real special, but there wasn’t anything I’d consider trying or coming back again for. Unless I was craving a caesar salad and/or fries AND I was already in Kent… Therefore, it’s more of a 3.5÷5 rating.

I went here a few weeks ago because of the good reviews on Unilocal. We are new in the area and we’re looking for a good place to take my in-laws. We arrived on a Sunday morning around 9:30 and were seated right away. When we left around 11, the place was packed and had a pretty good amount of people waiting to sit down. The wait staff were prompt and polite. My menu could have used a little wipe down, as it had some residue on it. However, I was pleased with the selections and everyone in my party tried something different. I really wanted to try to crab and asparagus omelette but I just couldn’t bring myself to pay $ 20 for it. Maybe next time! I ordered the chai tea latte and for some reason it seemed like it had 5 extra shots of expresso in it. Although not my flavor, it was good and I didn’t say anything because I was fine with it. My French toast was delicious and the home fries are pretty good! Like some other reviews mentioned on here, I did see two fruit flies around my table. Luckily they weren’t annoying, but no one wants to have those around when you’re eating. I definitely will be keeping this place on my short list for breakfast places!

This was the second time I’ve been here to eat for breakfast. The first time was on a weekend and it was very busy but good. This time was during a week day and the service was very quick. I ordered the pancakes and a side of eggs but I forgot how big the portions are. The three pancakes came with cinnamon and powdered sugar and that was a nice touch. I forgot though how hefty the prices were. $ 3 for coffee? That was my reason for the 4 stars. But service was awesome and the food was delicious. Just be prepared to spend $ 20+ per person

I’d say it was pretty good. Not so overpriced as past reviews seem to indicate. We came here because we needed an easy & quick stop between Puyallup & Seattle for brunch. We were pretty ravenous so we started with a cinnamon roll with our coffee. It was fairly decent. Not the best I’ve ever had. My husband ordered the Herbed Cheese Omelette and I had the Eggs Benedict. Everything was tasty and came out promptly. Only a few minutes wait and the place was packed. My only complaint was that it was pretty loud, but good people watching. Will come here again.

Adorable restaurant in downtown Kent! Had lunch here yesterday with my friend and her little one. The restaurant has lots of seating, great options for lunch. Lots of salads, sandwiches, soups, and more. Service was quick and friendly. I ordered the veggie sandwich(fresh mozz, tomato, and lettuce on grilled kalamata olive bread) with lentil soup. It was the perfect amount of lunch. My friend ordered the pear gorgonzola salad and it looked fantastic. Awesome option for a quick, healthy meal.

I love the food, the coffee, and the service. But the noise level is unbearable. I say across from my husband and we felt that we had to shout loudly just to have a conversation. The loss of stars is really because it was as if we were at a concert with the huge speaker blaring into our ears, and for Sunday morning that is NOT what I wanted to experience. :/ I ordered the herb omelet which was delicious! The rye bread was very good and made the perfect accompaniment. We wanted to have something sweet after our savory brunch and decided to get some cookies to go. We got the chocolate chip and peanut cookies. Both were very large(like 9 inches) and thin. They were both very delicious. I would come back, but may have to remember to bring ear plugs in order to enjoy comfortably.

One of my favorite breakfast spots in Kent! Located in downtown Kent, you’re essentially looking for street parking. Fortunately, there is usually a space available, as it never seems to be overly busy around the area in the mornings. The service is usually pretty good. During my most recent breakfast there, it wasn’t quite as friendly as I was used to, but maybe it was just an off day. There is plenty of seating for groups of all sizes, and the food usually comes out fairly quick. The food overall is consistently good. I’ve had several of the breakfast items, and all have been great. I’m particularly a fan of the Eggs Benedict and Eggs Florentine. Their lemon infused hollandaise sauce is especially good. Generous portions as well, so you never leave hungry. Overall, great breakfast/brunch spot in downtown Kent. Highly recommend checking it out when you’re in the area.

This is a great breakfast spot. Food was great, and so was the service. They have a pretty wide variety of desserts and they also serve espresso drinks. I didn’t get to try them but they looked really good. We were seated right away and the server was polite and courteous and very attentive. I never had to ask for water, and the food came out fairly quick. I definitely recommend checking this place out if you are ever in the Kent area!

Went back to Wild Wheat today, was still very good! I had a burger which was utterly mouthwatering. The portion was alot bigger than I assumed it would be. I also ordered the chicken tortilla soap, I order it everywhere I go when it’s available. Here at WW this is the best I have found in Washington. My husband ordered the fish and chips came with fries and a side salad. He told me «I’ve had better» but my husband is spoiled with fish, were from San Diego and he travels the world and eats alot of fish! He said«the tarter sauce wasn’t for him» My little guy had a grilled cheese sandwich with a side of fries and it came with nice fruit salad. Once again the portion sizes did not disappoint. I love how relax this place is I just wished people would make sure their kids are behaving. Seems every-time we come here people let their children run around and yell. I have two children so I understand you can’t control those little creatures sometimes but you can control them from climbing over the seats and coming to sit in a booth with my family.(Was very awkward when the mother kept him at out table until she finished her conversation) We paid about 50 bucks for lunch today. Which for a military family living on a salary was very high for us. We will for sure be coming back for lunch but maybe when my husband and I have our parents in town that way they can pay.(Insert winking smiley face now) Can’t wait to come back. Service is always fantastic and fast! Just a great place just a little out of our price range unless it’s a special treat.

I wanted so badly to fall in love with Wild Wheat, because it’s absolutely adorable! However, we came and had just an average dining experience. We grabbed a little table by the window for breakfast this morning. Our server was pleasant and everything came out fast. I started my morning with a hot mocha, which was absolutely delicious. I would come back just to get that mocha! The price was reasonable at $ 3.50 for a 16 oz. For breakfast I ordered the Quiche Lorraine. It came with a side of potatoes and choice of toast(they have about 8 varieties; I chose raisin). The quiche was wonderful, aside from the crust. I enjoyed the bottom of the crust, but the edge was too thick and too sweet — almost like a shortbread. The raisin bread was tasty. The potatoes were bland and underseasoned so I left them. The portions were huge and the meal could have been shared by 2. My fiancé ordered the create-your-own omelet with sausage, peppers, and onions. It was tasty but the price added up since there is a charge for each topping. Also a very large portion. He also left the potatoes and didn’t enjoy his sourdough toast — it was bland and didn’t taste like much or anything. If I were to come back, we’d just share the quiche and have a mocha. Nothing was bad, but nothing was really really great either.

I’ve been here quite a few times and I’m never as impressed as I expect myself to be. My rating is close to a 3.5. The last time I had their pasta, it was very oily! Their bread is very hard which is kind of weird since its a bakery… You think they’d have it on lock but nah. Most recently, I had their eggs florentine and it wasn’t bad! I liked the potato hash a lot. The bread was kinda tough to eat, so I guess it’s good the hollandaise was able to soften it up. The spinach was good and the eggs were cooked perfectly. My only problem(besides the bread) was the hollandaise sauce; it was really harsh on my tongue. Might have been way too much salt mixed with an already-tart lemon zest, but bleh! I get that it’s supposed to be tart and lemony, but wow whatever else they put in it did not do its job. Sour and salty sauce… No bueno. The coffee here is A1. Like they put steak sauce in the coffee lol jk they don’t but the coffee here is so good. One of the best coffees I’ve ever had. It was probably my favorite part of my meal(besides the poached egg(Im a runny yolk type of egg woman)). So… This is a great place for a coffee date! The atmosphere is very cutesy but it gets so loud so fast. Plus it’s right next to the train tracks so when a train comes, prepare to pause the conversation for a bit. Servers are great! Everything came out in a timely fashion. Anyway, this place is not bad for a change of scenery, especially in Kent where we desperately need more than fast food and chain restaurants. If you come, please order a mocha.
