Nice neighborhood bodega, they make good sandwiches, carry a nice variety of beer, the staff is fun and engaging to the customers. They have excellent homemade empanadas in the deli case too. They are open early and late. Glad to have them nearby.

The bacon egg and cheese on a roll comes with two measly slices of bacon. The order taker is also rude and obnoxious via phone and becomes extremely irate if you ask him to itemize your order. One of the delivery guys smells as if he showers once a month. Ughh :-( This place is the pits.

Family owned and operated. The owner of the deli — Julio — is a wonderful man. The guy must have been a comedian in some other life. The place is always fun when you’re running into to just grab something to snack on or getting light groceries, especially once you know the staff. They’ve been in the neighborhood forever and is a relic of Kew Gardens.

Very clean, it’s a great family operated business that treats their customers like family. Had dozens of sandwiches over the years and was never disappointed.

Very friendly staff, close to the job. I ordered a Cuban sandwich and the bread was fresh and the sandwich delicious. Parking sucks on that corner but they deliver locally

I’ve actually been on a mission to find a deli around here that makes a good sandwich, for whatever reason this didnt come up on my Unilocal search. Hmm… But I actually drove by earlier today and remember that I ate here! This place is right next door to my doc’s office and usually my appointments are either early AM or around lunch time after work which means I’M HUNGRYYY. Ive had really good sandwiches and pastellitos here. i like the staff a lot. My only con is that I feel like the juices/soda’s were a bit more expensive than your typical corner store but I guess they can get away with it. Run in and get something while you’re waiting for the bus!

I love Alba’s for my the late-night deli stop in but you can’t get here too late or this place could close — I think around midnight? Great sandwiches — whatever you want they will make. Good deals on sandwiches, and they have just enough snacks and other household items you will need if you are in a pinch. The staff are all really cool there and will remember you if you are a regular.

Whats not to love about this place? Julio, the owner, is amazing. The entire staff is very friendly. The sandwiches are delicious, especially for breakfast! Love this place, even just to pop in and say hi.

NYC was covered with a blanket of snow. Nothing is open. Transit is down. But good Ol boys at Albas are open. I walked half a block to my savior in this weather. I was hungry. Out of milk, and out of essentials that make being stuck in a storm HELL. I grabbed organic milk(dude!), eggs, beer(cuz its a SNOW storm), chips(munchies), toilet paper(shit happens), and a big ass sandwich. I spent $ 15. and they take CREDITCARDS! dude. The sandwich was great(tho the bread was a bit chewy) and the beer was ice cold. they saved my unprepared ass during this snow storm and i love them!

The best little bodega in Kew Gardens! They have everything you could possibly need from a decent beer selection to home made wine to a fresh deli and produce to soap. You’ll need look around a bit as they have so much packed into this store, you could miss something. Their sandwiches are out of this world. They use finely shredded lettuce and paper thin pickles, both a bonus for me. The prices are average for a bodega, but the variety and service kept me coming back(and the sandwiches).
