Jack Flats

This place is definitely a sports setting there’s a bunch of TVs all around the restaurant so you don’t have to worry about missing your game. The waitress was nice, sweet and attentive.
As an Appetizer we orders the nachos which were okay not too bad. I’ve had better but for a bar appetizer it was okay.
My boyfriend ordered a shrimp and bacon sandwich which was good not too bad.
As my entrée I had the appetizer of the mini sliders. It came with 4 sliders. It was good not so bad. I was just so full I only had 2.

Great food! Ordered Buffalo Shrimp, Pretzel Bread with cheese dip and Mahi Sliders. Shrimp was amazing and fresh! The Pretzel Bread came as 4 warm loaves with lots of butter topping them and were delicious. The Mahi sliders were also fresh. But upon removing the top buns one of the sliders had a very small piece of fish on it. (A little larger than a postage stamp) Service was good and friendly. Will definitely eat here again.

Great tasting and affordable food and drinks right on Duval Street, Key West, Florida. Love this place.

Great for watching the game! Plus they have mobile speakers for your table so you can listen to the sound of whichever tv you want. So cool!

Great food! Unexpected surprise at Key West! We ordered these three and you must try the tuna and the coconut shrimp! If you like wings, these are great taste of southern wings as well!

Best place to watch sporting events in key west. At least 25 big screens! Closest thing to a sports bar I’ve found here.

I have had better coconut shrimp elsewhere in tow but I do think their seared tuna salad is AMAZING. They have a great balsamic dressing. Cool atmosphere.

First let me start by saying the service was exceptional, great atmosphere, lots of screens for sports… but the food was terrible. Ordered appetizers including pretzel sticks and chips and queso. Pretzel sticks were hot on top, but center was cold (microwaved) and the queso was cold throughout. The food came out fast but not warming or cooking throughout would do that =) I elected not to order a dinner, but my boyfriend ordered the steak sandwich. The sandwich was great, hence the 3 stars, but the apps were a real letdown. So skip the cold apps and maybe head straight to the meal =)

This is a quality place to catch sports on TV. For a tourist looking for some playoff action for out of region teams, Jack Flats was a great find. Several big screens surround the room. It’s a shinier option than most places in the area.
We came in here after Mrs G tried a Rum Runner at Sloppy Joe’s (where she told the bartender it was «the worst drink I’ve ever had»). The bartender here made it the way its supposed to be made and she liked it. With reference to Sloppy Joe’s, the bartender did replace the drink with something else at no charge. Very fair.
I don’t like many sweet drinks and I asked the bartender to make one of my favorites — the Pegu. He didn’t know it but when I rattled off the ingredients, he gladly figured it out.
The Coconut Shrimp and the Mahi Mahi Sliders are good small plate orders.
For TV sound, you can get a personal speaker to hear the play-​by-​play. They play background music for the general crowd.

Service was terrible. I do not remember the servers name but Mike the manager was absolutely no help at all when our issues were addressed. Extremely disappointed I wasted my only night in Key West eating dinner here.

My boyfriend and I, famished after a long day shopping along Duval, picked this place on a whim after seeing that there was a Mahi caesar salad lunch special.
We were greeted so kindly by the hostess and guided to our booth. This place is really big and has lots of TV’s! Definitely a nice sports bar.
We ordered the mahi caesar salad and US-​1 sliders to share. The mahi caesar was light and delicious and the sliders were pretty good! We thoroughly enjoyed this nice, light but solid lunch.
Our server was extremely friendly and an excellent server, which was very rare to find in Key West! We were so pleased with Jack Flats and only wished we had found it earlier on in our trip.

This is one of the few places in Key West where the people greet you with a smile. My girlfriend and I shared the lightly blackened Mahi Caesar salad and (4) Mini burger sliders. Both were very flavorful and we finished everything to the last bite. The place inside looks nice and clean, with dim lights over the table, just enough to feel right. The prices were very affordable, we’d love to come back — but this is our last day on vacation!

I was on vacation during the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Where was I to go? I needed to scream my lungs out for my New York Rangers!
I needed a sports bar — and one not too sports bar-​ish since the wife was with me.
Yes, I could have stayed at home but screaming at my Dad’s TV wouldn’t be the same.
I found Jack Flats on Unilocal and it was the perfect balance for me (the hockey fanatic) and my wife (the less than enthusiast hockey bystander).
We were on Duval for an event that afternoon (Drag Race to celebrate the founding days) and were just a few shorts blocks away. We headed over a few minutes before the game and saw that there was a fair amount of seating that was open. I opted for a booth, knowing I could sit sideway and lean back against the wall to watch the game. Also gave the wifey a place to relax since she isn’t really a belly up to the bar type of gal.
I stepped into the restroom once I saw our booth and when I returned there was a menu, water and something that looked like a speaker. My wife explained to me that the speaker could be changed to match any TV behind the bar so I never had to miss the audio of the game! So cool. I’ve NEVER seen this before and I now wish these speakers were EVEYRWHERE!
We ordered and I opted for a burger and fries. It arrived shortly after ordering and was delicious. I devoured the burger and then kept the fries close to pick at while I watched the game.
The servers were all very kind and checked on us but weren’t overbearing.
The game didn’t go well but the vibe of the bar was awesome, the food was on point, and this will easily become another of my fave Duval spots.
For NHL fans — the bar definitely makes it to the Playoffs every season!

Stopped here to watch game 7 of the Blackhawk first round of the play offs. They had a multitude of tvs playing the game, as well as many other games playing. So right off the bat you know this is a great sports bar. Their food is good. I got the prezel with homemade cheese as well as the wasabi tuna. Both were excellent. Our waiter was honest with us when I asked if the fish was frozen from the fish and chips on the menu (which it was), so that was appreciated. Weird that were on an island and they don’t use fresh fish, but that would be pretty much my only complaint about the place. Staff was friendly, everything we tried at the table was great. I’d say if you have a game you want to watch while you’re down here, this is the place to go.

I’ve been to Jack Flats twice, and while it does have a lot of TV screens to watch sports, the smell of all the fried foods kinds of made me nauseous.
The first time I came here, it was just for a drink during a night bar crawl. At night, there’s a lot less food being served, so you can have a few drinks and watch a sports game.
However, I went during the afternoon once, and overwhelming smell of cheap fried bar food made me leave. On top of that, while they do have the largest selection of TVs playing sports that I found in Key West, they only play specific sports. Even though basically all the TVs were on one game, we asked for one to be turned to hockey, and they wouldn’t do that. That’s not really how a sports bar should operate.
Overall, there are other bars on Duval that where you can watch sports, so I recommend some of them over Jack Flats.

it’s a solid sports bar with a mix of locals and tourists. They have wall to wall TVs so whatever game you went there to watch, Jack Flats can probably accommodate you.

We chose to eat for dinner 3 AMAZING, YUMMY Appetizers, aka Tex Mex Egg Rolls, Sliders with cheese if you please, Not cho Cheese, but it is YO cheese, wink!
Key Wests finest water, diet pepsi and JINGLING aka Yuengling.
Sam and Pam are hooked on Phonics ’bout this place, and will be coming back here for year’s to come!!!

First of all, this is a great place to watch sports. Tons of TVs and a great atmosphere for the sports lover. We got dinner and the food was great. We started with the pretzels and cheese sauce. They were awesome! The pretzels were warm and soft. The homemade cheese sauce was perfect. We saved the extra for our fries later and I totally recommend that. The burger was cooked perfectly and was big enough for the 2 of is to split. The burger comes with grilled onions which gave it extra flavor.
If you are looking for a place to watch any sporting event or get a great burger. This is the place to go.

Went to this place for some drinks and to watch the Packers play! My boyfriend loved all the TVs/​projectors. Bartender was very attentive to our needs. We spent about 4hrs at bar! We got about 12 drinks and an appetizer which was amazing. Would recommend the pretzels with homemade cheese! Food was great, people were great, and drinks were great! Cheers
