Denny’s

Excellent service the food was good and miguel our server worked with us. We substituted a lot of our food. And whats cool they sell beer.

Bad customer service. We were coming from a family gathering and they ASSUMED we were intoxicated because we were acting very happy with each other. We ordered one beer each and hot plates. The food took over 45 minutes and the manager came and asked if we could pay ahead of time because he FEARED we were going to walk out without paying. Have in mind that we were all 25+ years; with a nice income that triples a Dennys managers. I was very disappointed and asked for the tab, refusing to eat there and be humiliated. The manager still tried charging me the food that had not yet been served because it «was already on the grill».
Thing to Note: the reason we were happy was due to the fact that I had not seen my family in over one year and I drove 2 hours to see them. A very bad and unforgettable memory!

Choose this place over the cork and the plough they sell moldy food!!! Denny’s and me have always been friends and it’s cheap :)

We stopped at the Soledad Denny’s on Christmas Day on the way down to Santa Barbara and had a great meal. Fantastic service and the food was fine. We were glad that it was better than fast food and we got a little break from the drive!

We stopped here for lunch, and the service was extremely inattentive. Not only did we wait almost an hour before the waiter realized he forgot to input our order, but he lost it and forgot that he was the one that took our order at all. They also never filled up on water despite empty glasses during this very very long wait. It was terrible. Not that there will be a next time, but I would pay attention to the waiter with the big gouge earrings to ensure that your order was inputted into the system so you don’t waste your time.

I don’t know about all you folks but i don’t like to eat my pancakes after they’ve sitting in front of me for almost an hour. We didn’t get any butter or syrup for a while or a refill from the waitress. she was only attending to a couple tables. So it wasn’t like she was crazy busy.

The food looked good initially. But poor service.

Awful service and food. I wish I can give this place no stars. I’ve been to many Denny’s all over the West and this has to be the worst. Next time, I’ll stay on the road until I find a different location.

went here for my bday today and my husband was not happy with his food. he got the ultimate skillet n did not have any sausages. my brother got the avocado and bacon burger and it wasn’t good at all. I got some ranch and it looked weird and not as flavored as ranch should be. would I go back to this location? never again!

Came here on a road trip to San Fran and the server, Robert, was fast, efficient, and kind! I was also surprised at how GOOD the Sirloin was! Best visit in awhile, thank you!

Gerri W your comments sound like that of a jealous teenager… service was good so leave it at that… no need to try and get someone fired because you are too insecure to handle another woman talking to your husband and his family… in a town as small as KC everyone knows everyone… so don’t be surprised when another woman knows your husband and his family… and know that the rest of us feel sorry for you… you seem pretty sad, pathetic, really insecure and childish… if you have a personal problem with someone then handle it personally… don’t hide behind Unilocal trying to go after someone’s livelihood because you are to much of a coward to handle it yourself… and know karma is gonna pay you a visit… hopefully you will learn from it and not continue your childish ways… grow up already… high school is over… BTW Amber and the rest of the Denny’s staff has always been great to my Grandma who goes there every Saturday for breakfast for longer than i can remember… that alone they get 5 stars… thank you all at Denny’s for being awesome with my Grandma…

service and food were acceptable. what was not acceptable is the waitress (Amber) asking my husband for his mother’s phone number (she had worked for the family in the past) because she wanted to see how his mother was doing when in reality she wanted to call and start problems. She had negative things to say about me (however we had never met) and specifically told my mother in law «she just wanted to rip him right out of that restaurant and away from that woman» Quite a surprise considering we had a enjoyable time and everything seemed normal until we got the phone call from his mother! I have filed a complaint with the corporate office hopefully they will take some action so i can once again enjoy Denny’s.

This Denny’s was the perfect stop off during a late night drive from LA to SF. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming and the food was great for a Denny’s! This particular location has been there forever and though they have messed up some of the original charm by painting over the stone walls with beige paint, it’s still cozy and nostalgic inside. Highly recommend this Denny’s if you’re in King City as there aren’t a lot of choices and this is one of the best Denny’s out there!

Went here for lunch to meet up with my uncle and aunt. This place was super busy. I think every table was filled? Our waiter was very nice, he appologized for being too busy to bring me extra brown sugar for my grits. I’ve never had a waiter do that before. Food was so tasty. I ended up ordering the build your own breakfast with 4 items.
Over Easy Egg, English Muffin, Grits and hashbrowns

Seriously, the food is always just food. I am sure it’s canned, bagged, frozen, pre made, and salted whenever they can. I eat at Denny’s when the time calls for it such as being in the need for food late at night. Recently the family and I were on our way home from a road trip. We reluctantly stopped at this Denny’s. However, the server, Miguel, might be the nicest, most involved, most helpful, waiter I have ever come into contact with. Honestly, I would suffer through a Denny’s meal in the middle of the day if I was going to be sat in his section. He helped us with saving money, choosing our meals, kept the drinks filled and brought to go cups, packed out to go containers, and bonded with our children. There are so many more examples of his work ethic it would take too long to list. Seriously he shook my hand after collecting my money and thanked me for my business! I think people should visit this Denny’s just to meet Miguel.

The same old Dennys since when I was a kid in King City. The food is pretty good but the service is a little slow but tolerable. You know what to expect by the pictures on the menu so no surprises. I think I prefer Lawrences (the old Keefers) but this will do.

Ok. 9 people and 9 orders. 0 correct. Waited forever and it’s empty. Waitress is super sweet but only comes by once every fifteen minutes. Hey, we need silverware. Hey, I asked for bacon. Hey, I need syrup. Seriously.

Good standard Denny’s food. Service is always okay but sometime you get a waiter or waitress that really goes out their way to make your dining experience enjoyable.

No stars would be more accurate. Worst service I’ve ever gotten any where. Although we were seated within a few minutes, we waited an hour for our food. We were a party of 3. Tables of 5 and 6 that were seated, and ordered, after us got their food before us. Once we finally received our food, our order was wrong.
Go anywhere but here!

My fiancé and I were seated and offered coffee immediately by a lovely person named Teresa. Then when we ordered our breakfasts, our waiter, Miguel, recognized that our orders combined were a single meal, so he put it in that way and saved us a couple bucks. All you would expect at a Denny’s plus a extra helping of humanity! PS the line cook with the diamond earrings is a cutie, but nowhere near as cute as my devastatingly handsome bride to be.

I feel sorry that this place appears to be terrible due to only one 1-​star review. It’s a standard Denny’s: You know what to expect when you go there & you pretty much get what you expected. This location looks like it’s been there since the 60s (in a cool architectural way). We were seated right away, our waitress was friendly and fast, food was served promptly and tasted totally fine (i.e. like Denny’s). I can not complain about anything from our one-​time experience while staying in King City.
