Eat here once a week food is always good and if something is wrong they take immediate steps to fix it. Salads are always fresh, coleslaw is delicious and the chicken parm is too die for. Best restaurant on the way to the cape or Plymouth.

Worse meal I ever had and the waitress sucked. My meal as so over fried it could not be eaten. Waitress could not even care that it was not eaten.

I came in with my husband last week for lunch. The menu is packed with such great choices we ordered an appetizer of mozzarella sticks to kill time while we picked out our meals. My buffalo chicken sandwich was amazing. My husband got the steak fajitas and enjoyed those as well. The portions were huge and neither of us could finish! The experience was nice my only complaint would be listening to the bartender loudly talking throughout the meal and saying how much she hated children… Keep that one to yourself!

I went on a Friday night. It was very busy, but worth it. They had a Mac and cheese with short rib special that was awesome!

My wife and I went to the Charlie Horse last night. The place was mobbed as usual. I have never had a bad meal there until last night. I had sea food casserole and my wife had the steak tips. We sat at the bar. It was noisy but ok. The music was a little load for me. My casserole was average and some of the scallops weren’t cooked at all. The rice pilaf was terrible, starchy mush. The wife’s steak tips were good. The service was great. The bar tender was attentive despite being impossibly busy.

My husband and I went there for lunch. We decided to split the fish and chips with slaw, after seeing the table across from us order the same thing which came with 3 pieces of fish. Fair deal for $ 13.99. Well when our fish and chips arrived there were only 2 pieces of fish and barley any fries and the slaw was dry and tasteless. Fish was very greasy and under cooked. Needless to say we left there disappointed. Headed over to the Venus II in Brantrock who fish and chips are at a daily special of $ 6.99 yes bigger portion and fried to perfection. Charlie Horse can be good or bad latley the service and food has been mediocre at best.

Tonight I’m giving this establishment a 5 star review. The menu is extensive, very good quality etc. Love that the kids can play in total Safety, in the arcade, while I relax and enjoy adult conversation. The wait staff is always friendly and accommodating. But tonight this night in particular, we had a waitress(Sara) that was just so nice, so attentive and… cute! But that’s besides the point. She was compensated for outstanding service. Ps gluten free options galore!

I’ve been coming here longer than any other family restaurant(since I was a kid). Recently, the menu was re-done and I was interested to see what changed. I’m glad they kept the buffalo chicken nachos. My friend brought his two children, and I noticed that the kid’s menu was very affordable. I ordered more food than I needed because I skipped lunch and I thought people would try my quesadilla(they didn’t!) I was pretty good. The buffalo chicken sandwich and fries are also a solid choice. I didn’t love the new appetizer: bacon and cheese croquettes. They came with a horseradish sour cream, and while I liked dipping fries in it, the sauce did not wow me. I wouldn’t get them again. The Charlie Horse has a decent beverage selection(including Woodchuck cider) and they offer Keno as well, so drink up and give your money to the state.

I live very close, which is SMALL part of the reason I love this place. The food is almost always consistent-I have tried a bunch of things off the menu, but have a staple– the Cobb salad. It is gigantic and amazing. The avocado ranch dressing they make is awesome. I want to marry it if marrying a dressing were normal. This place isn’t fancy, nor does it try to be. The servers are so nice– never once have had bad service. They have a small arcade to keep kids busy/entertained which is pretty cool. The prices are totally reasonable. Also– the place is huge so it’s great when you want to get in and not have to wait forever. I love the Horse.

Went there tonight for dinner…1st time. Looks decent from the outside… one would certainly expect the interior to be as nice. Not so. Very dark, run down, and appeared grossly dirty. …very depressing. A nice young man was our server… I felt really badly for him stuck in this atmosphere. I ordered ribs, my husband ordered chicken. Could hardly cut through the ribs… and when I did, the pork was pink!!! And tough. They weren’t barbecued… the were baked w/barbecue sauce drizzled on top, almost as an afterthought. I sent them back(have NEVER done that before) and we stopped at Mamma Mia’s in Pinehills on the way home and picked up a pizza to bring home. Never again for Charlie Horse.

We stopped for lunch and it was really good. My husband was raving about the buffalo wings and fries. If it wasn’t so far we would order catering!

First time going to the Kingston location. The portions are incredible. However, I was left feeling sick for a few days after I ate from here. My friend and I both ordered the steak tips and we both had upset stomachs for days after. Probably won’t be coming back.

First time for us at the horse… two families with 4 adults and 5 kids. Food was good not great but the true disappointment was the drinks. I ordered a long island ice tea(it was a rough week) and normally you can taste the alcohol since it’s made with 4. This one however was so watered down I did not even have a buzz after two. My wife and her girlfriend got«the sophisticated» and she said it tasted like fruit juice. Prices are fair but there is no way we would go back. I will admit our kids loved the game room, they had a play until you win claw machine.

Stopped in yesterday for lunch with my wife, three other adults and four kids in between two youth basket ball games. The service was excellent, especially considering our group. I had the Super Chicken sandwich. The chicken was grilled with Swiss cheese, onions, lettuce, tomato and bacon. It was very good. My wife got a buffalo chicken calzone which was huge and she said it was awesome. My son had the Mac n chicken. He loved it but loved his moms calzone more and ate her leftovers on the way home. My wife ate his leftovers in return. Large portions, good price and very good service. The kids played some video games and pool after eating. Next time we’re in the area, we will return.

«What are you in the mood for?» «I don’t know. What are you in the mood for?» «I don’t care.» «Charlie Horse?» «Ok, Charlie Horse it is!» That’s pretty much how it goes. A nice family restaurant with good food and excellent service. Nothing fancy. Great, too, if you have kids that need something to do while they wait for their meal… A nice arcade off to the side. Or if you just want to stop for a drink or 2, there’s a quiet bar. I have brought my wife and son there 3 times this month and we were waited on all 3 times by Sarah. Always pleasant, always friendly and always smiling. An absolutely pleasure! And, by the way, we haven’t had a bad meal ever!

Went here last night with my friend to catch up and enjoy a drink at the bar. Normally when i come here, i sit in the dining area. There food is always great and the waitresses are normally great too! Last night my experience proved otherwise about the bartenders or one particular bartender. Got there and sat at the bar. Waited a bit and the bartender came over to take our drink orders. My friend asked for a strawberry banana margarita. I’ve bartended and waitressed for years so i know this really isnt that hard to make. The woman was completely put out with her request. She acted annoyed and confused over the idea of adding banana liquor into a strawberry margarita… it’s not that hard. Really. I asked for a menu which also took a while to get. She finally threw them on the counter in front of us… thanks? The whole time she served us food and drink, she didn’t smile ONCE. She was unfriendly and just rude. I always tip a minimun of 20% and then work my way up when the service is good! When we left i could tell she wasnt thrilled with 15% but she’s lucky she got that. When working in the food industry, don’t EXPECT a tip if you’re going to be rude and unhelpful. If i ever come back to this place, it won’t be to sit at the bar again — that’s for sure.

Delicious food, tasty drinks, and good service. There is a small arcade that is great for kids, as well as a room with a couple pool tables for adults. Their alcoholic drinks taste delicious. When it comes to the food, I recommend the steak tips or buffalo chicken quesadilla. NOTE: I used to work in the kitchen. Everything is kept very clean.

3 words: Chipolte BBQ Wings!!! YUM! I always start off with a large order of these bad boys. I opt for the boneless version, but the sauce is just so sweet and tangy with a side of ranch. Yes, it’s a sports bar with an arcade and pool table. It’s nothing fancy, but it is a great place for cheap drinks and a game or to bring the whole family for dinner. I usually sit in the bar area with my BF and we play a little Keno. Other good things on the menu are the Chix Mac n Cheese, Quesadillas, Flatbreads, Meatball Sub and Clam Chowder. They also have healthy pours of my favorite Chardonnay on the cheap. Simple bar food, satisfying and priced reasonably. I’ve been here several times over the past few years, and I will keep coming in for sure. My only suggestion is to come up with a better drink menu. Their current one has some weird too-sweet martinis, and maybe a few frozen drinks. I usually stick to wine, but I always prefer to start with a cocktail. and besides the two types I mentioned, there are no actual rocks drinks listed anywhere. Just sayin’, adding like 3 – 4 signature drinks would be greatly enjoyed.
