Great chocolates, but the price. Ouch! Not as sweet as I’m used to either. But nice trying something different. I’d stop here again.

I often see this place when driving through the Turkey Creek shopping center. I’ve always wanted to visit, but never did. Then a few months ago I purchased a Groupon deal for a «tour» of this chocolate factory. Last night, we finally went. Oh, my gosh, I wish we had gone before now. First of all, the chocolate is AMAZING. That’s all I can say. It tastes so darn good. It also LOOKS good. If you need a special gift for a chocolate lover, or a showstopping piece for a special event, this is the place to go. My favorites were a chocolate picture frame, a chocolate backgammon board, and a wedding cake topper — bride and groom. Not kitschy or hokey, just beautifully molded pieces of art. The prices are good too. It’s more than the grocery store, of course, but you have to remember you’re not buying Hershey bars here. No offense to Hershey. Okay, so you have to go here to buy chocolate. Also… do yourself a favor and take their«tour!» They only do it one night a week and they actually fill up a few weeks in advance, so call right away! I was expecting a sterile, sort-of enlightening tour of an automated facility. You know, like Hershey.(Sorry, Hershey, to keep picking on you!) I toured a candy factory in Arizona that was similar. You go in, watch them make a couple of chocolate bars and get a few samples. Nice. But no, they go much further here. It’s HANDS-ON. That’s right… you make your own chocolate creations. It was AWESOME. They actually started with samples: they had a chocolate fountain going and we got to dip strawberries, marshmallows, pretzels, rice-krispy bars. Yummy. Then we heard a short but interesting history of chocolate, and could taste actual cocoa nibs(raw chocolate). Not bad. Then we went behind the counter. First, we decorated a chocolate«business card» with white chocolate. Then we molded milk-chocolate ghost lollipops(the mold is probably seasonal). Then we dipped strawberries in the milk chocolate. Then we dipped marshmallows in dark chocolate. All of these things were put in «goodie bags» for us to take home. So much fun! At the end, we could purchase more chocolate for 10% off. I thought I was already overdosed on chocolate but somehow I was able to put together a half-pound box of chocolate delicacies to take home. I’m pretty sure I woke up with a chocolate hangover this morning, but it was totally worth it.

Wow, this place creates chocolate masterpieces that are both beautiful and yummy!!! I love their caramel, nuts, and chocolate enrobed pretzel sticks, chocolate toffee, and dark chocolate covered Oreos. You need to go to get your chocolate fix … I know I will be returning!!!
