I don’t know how anybody had a bad experience here. Every time I walk in the door, I get help immediately. I only come to Canning’s when I am working at my mom’s place since I live in LA now, but every time I come here, it is a great experience. It is much better than those HUGE places where you have to scrounge to find somebody to help you out.

I am only giving this place a two star because they do have a nice selection for a hardware store but, I am amazed with the type of customer service they have here that they are still in business. Being that I was the only customer in the store and they have three employees they said hi after about five minutes of me wandering around. Next time I’ll just drive to the Anaheim Hills location.

I was very please with the store. I need a part for my shoe rack that was missing. I went to several stores and they did not have the part. Curtis, who works at the Canning’s Ace Hardware store, had the piece made for me. Now I’m able to put all my shoes away. I am a happy girl!

You can always find that special bolt, nut or whatever and you don’t need to buy 50 of them in a package like the big box stores. Great service too, never pushy.

The store was good, clean and conveniently located, but i’m giving this place two stars for crappy service. i bought a shelf and it was heavy. I asked for some help to take it to the car. The employee was mean about it and said i can get a dolly. i didn’t want to wait around so i just picked it up and started hobbling over. The employee was also headed somewhere and just watched me struggle my way over to the car. he followed me ended up parking right next to me, got in his car and drove off in his crappy little beat up car. I don’t understand why he couldn’t offer to lend me a hand. Sure, i understand, it was probably his break time. no wonder these guys are working the job they do. They don’t ever want to lift a finger to go slightly above and beyond what is expected of them. No wonder they are stuck in their minimum wage jobs.
