Charles East has a wealth of knowledge about the workings of the spa. Combine this with exceptional workmanship and a commitment to keeping prices reasonable, and we have a winning combination! Charles recently retrofitted our old Coleman spa with an entire new system — circuit board, heater, topside panel plus replacing several jets. He even did a spa clean-​out, all in a very timely manner. My therapeutic nightly spa time ritual is back online, thanks to Charles!

Charlie did a fantastic job on our spa. It was up and running and he was fast and prompt. He was able to rebuild our pump and was very good about working with our price conscious position on keeping a spa alive. I highly recommend him.

Charles does a great job, he shows up whenever we need him and has added equipment/​upgraded things as needed. He is always reasonably priced and tries to do repairs by giving us various options. I bought a used above ground pool and he has upgraded the heater, added filters, replaced the control panels, etc.

Be sure, when dealing with this firm, that you secure an agreement about what happens if the repair that the Coastside Spas owner says is necessary for repair turns out to be incorrect.
Because I did not do so, over 700 dollars has been spent with Coastside Spas, and my spa does still not heat and remains unusable.
The original estimate for the prescribed repair the Coastside Spas owner said would be necessary to get my Spa to heat was incorrect… as was a subsequent estimate for another repair that did not work.
Avoid the mistake I made.
Make sure you have a firm, written agreement about what will happen if the recommended repair (s) do NOT work,

Mr East personally came to my home and removed my #2 spa pump which was a year old and had suddenly failed. It was not providing any water flow. Charlie took it apart on site from the impeller manifold and showed me a broken impeller which was almost 18 years old and should have been replaced when I installed a new pump last year. Word to the wise… when you replace an old pump, also replace the impeller… my bad.
Charlie is most professional and congenial… a big plus to rely on for help for any spa owner.
We are lucky to have Charlie and Coastside Spas in our area.

charles accurately diagnosed the problem with my 16 year old spa that suddenly stopped working and knew exactly how to fix it. i appreciated how much time he took to show me what i needed to get and how to do much of the repair myself to help keep costs down. he was able to fit my project into his busy schedule in a timely way even though i am in san francisco. friendly, knowledgable, efficient and trustworthy, charles is the best!

Charlie did a great job fixing our hot tub! He was professional, courteous, and responsive/​accessible. I really like that he cared about our safety and provided a lot of additional insight on how to keep our spa running safely and efficiently. His rates were reasonable and I trust his opinion and work. He’s the «go to guy» for spa repair and maintenance in the area!
