Paper Source

This store has a great selection. Maybe on the pricier side but quality of the stamps, wrapping paper, ribbons, etc is superb. The staff always checks in, says hi and inquires as to what you’re looking for. Sometimes they can be a little excessive with their «customer service» (please give me some space).

I don’t go here often, but the times I have gone, they always had what I needed. Very helpful staff and well-​designed floor.

Nice ifyou’re you’re going for the paper. Cards aren’t very meaningful. And the staff not vertu helpful.

Paper source has such a great selection of cards and it also has really friendly and helpful staff! Today Mayandra was helping me and she was super creative and really great in meeting my budget. Enjoyed the friendly customer service and will for sure be back again.

I wish I could remember who helped my sister and I but she was AMAZING. She was working Friday (7÷3÷15) in the afternoon and was a young, super friendly lady. I was visiting from San Francisco and she went out of her way to talk with my about fun craft ideas. I ended up buying stuff because of her. She was a super class act. I hope she gets recognition for this:)

I came in here on a Saturday morning and was welcomed immediately upon my arrival. I needed some brief help and guidance on invitation ordering and was guided by the staff. It was very impressive.
This store is amazing! So much to find and can easily get lost with all the crafty ideas. I see myself coming here often!

I come here time to time now since I live close by. I love Paper Source! It’s heaven to me…
I usually find good stuff and get what I need. I just don’t like the parking lot here.
In my previous visits, I feel like it’s hard to tell who works here because I can’t tell if they are a customer or worker based on their clothes. Or that’s just me. Also another time when I had a question, there was lack of coverage and there was only one worker that helped me and a line formed to be rung up at the counter and I felt bad!
People here are pretty knowledgeable about the crafts. I had one person who really helped me out explain about their workshops and the specials with embossing. It’s on my wishlist to get…

Such a cute stationery store! Found great stickers & journal. Variety of greeting cards & stamps! also small selection of Kate Spade stationery. I wish they had more of a selection for stickers but that’s okay. i scored some Emoji stickers for $ 5.95. i signed up online for the newsletter & got a 10% off coupon that I used in store. Large store & the customer service is excellent!

–this review is for the workshop I attended
–the store is easy to find with lots of parking; its very cute, comfortable and there is so much to see and buy there (if you love paper, this is the somewhat overpriced place to go… I’ve loved them since I used their papers for my own wedding stationary) including paper, greeting cards, supplies related to making greeting or paper crafts, and tons of fun general seasonal merchandise (cute books, toys, decorative items etc)
–it was totally fun and accessible to both new and experienced crafters
–I took a valentine’s day card making class where we ended up taking home four cards, each of different levels of difficulty/​skill
–the class costs about $ 27, ran for two hours and is limited to only about 20 people (two tables of 10 people each), so its nice and intimate (held at the back of the store, it starts at 7 (store closes at 8) until 9 and they give you about ½ an hour afterwards to use the 10% off coupon you get for attending the class (coupon is good for a week after)
–there was plenty of time for breaks, questions and to go at your own speed
–complimentary wine, sparkling soda and mineral water plus strawberries and chocolates were served!
–everything was provided for you… the paper, supplies, tools etc and they did all the clean up!
–its super laid back and casual (one of the girls brought her puppy with her and there were all sorts of levels of crafters and we all helped each other out) and just a great chance to chat and have fun with new people who also love to craft
–you get to use a wide variety of different papers, supplies (washi tape, sticker, stamps, different fasteners/​foam squares etc) and tools (embossing) which exposes you to products you might not have been familiar with and gives you a chance to try them out before buying them
–the instructors are super fun, helpful and genuinely love their jobs and love to craft; they go around to make sure you’re doing ok, give you extra supplies if you «ruin» yours, help you out (she wrote on my card for me cause her writing was much better than mine), give lots of tips and just chat about crafting in general
–I definitely want to take another class, the only thing is they only do about one a month, they’re not always that great (ie in Feb they are making paper machee bowls which isn’t very exciting/​unique and definitely not worth the price as far as i’m concerned) and tend to sell out quickly due to their small size (there is a good refund policy, though, so if you’re interested its best to book asap)… i wish they did more classes (even if they repeated the same class more than once since its not always possible to attend) and with a wider variety of topics

I have a secret obsession with paper: cards, invitations, tags, notes, stationary, and books. Yes, I am a paper-​phile. And I love Paper Source.
This location — the only one in San Diego — isn’t as big as the stores in Pasadena or Dallas; but what it lacks in size, it makes up with paper, whimsical gifts, great employees, and fun workshops.
My affinity with Paper Source began when I sent out my save-​the-​date wedding magnets ten years ago. I needed something to stick the magnets on – I found PS online and bought some pearlized A2 scalloped cards and matching envelopes. I was hooked.
It’s true; Paper Source isn’t cheap. But higher quality paper never is and there is a tangible difference. Don’t get me wrong, I’m a big Michael’s coupon shopper and regularly go there for things like tape, glue, basic cardstock, embossing powder, and rubber stamps. PS is just better for quality paper, cards, all types of holiday décor, and fun gifts.
I also really like the PS designs; they’re generally stylish, vibrant, pretty, and fun. What can I say, I’m a sucker for clean, pretty designs.
I’ve attended workshops at this store, which are totally fun, and open to new and experienced crafters. The topics tend to be seasonal; in November, I attended a holiday card making class and in December, a gift wrapping class. Gift wrapping may be common sense to most people, but I actually picked up some new skills that made it look less like my cats wrapped my gifts.
The workshops are typically $ 25-​$ 30 each class, run for an hour and a half, and are limited to 8 – 10 people. One thing I particularly enjoy is that during those 90 minute classes, we get free range to many different PS tools and supplies; things that I don’t necessarily own and enjoy using for free!
The people who work at this store are always super friendly and helpful. If I need help or just have a question, someone is always willing to offer ideas, answers, and solutions.

I am a big fan of this store!
This is my all in one go to gift store. Picking up some Holiday cards? Why not browse their wide variety of knick knacks and gifts. They do have some interesting items, however they are priced very well compared to other boutiques in San Diego.
I come here mainly for decking out my gift packaging for my small business. They have plenty of styles to design with. If you want Eco-​Friendly or Shimmery Glam, they have something for everyone.
One thing to suggest to Paper Source, make sure your Sales Associates know which paper/​envelopes/​cards are Laser Printer friendly. I had to pass on some items and stop by later after researching the item myself.

In general, I am a HUGE fan of the Paper Source workshops (I’ve done 4 at this point in NYC and San Diego). What makes the difference is having excellent teachers. I highly reccomend the classes at the store.
One downside – last time I tried to add a friend to my reservation… they told me they were full, but then one person didn’t show up and there were just extra supplies sitting on the table. I’m sure my guest would have loved it, so hopefully they can join next time!

Such a great place to find the most random gifts! I know a lot of people go for the crafts but I find the the cutest stocking stuffer gifts here! A great place to find a white elephant gift too! The employees are always very friendly, asking if you need help finding anything while not being too pushy,

I absolutley love this store. I recently bought envelopes and liners for both my save the dates and wedding invites! Such an amazing selection!

This place has an awesome collection for anything and everything crafty… I love their wrapping paper collection, mixed media collection and everything to make hand made cards!
The staff is pretty friendly and will share ideas if You are in need of one…
The only downside was that I find this place way too overpriced… For example u are better off getting stamps and tiny things from Michael’s than this place… Shop only what they specialize in and u r good!!’

The employees that work here are super helpful and friendly. I’ve recently discovered a new hobby with making invitations & business cards. Feeling crafty with a DIY project in mind, I decided to take a trip to this store and see what I could find. I was pleased to find everything I was looking for along with new things I’d like to try.
I will be coming back more often and hope to take one of their classes.

For those who would like to be crafty but might not be as knowledgeable, don’t be shy to ask the workers any questions about their products or how to use it.
I find myself wondering through the store looking at all the fun crafts and examples they have and I always get greeted and they make sure that it’s known they are there for any questions. It might seem a little intimidating at first, but it’s only because they enjoy showing you their products.
Love all the examples they have posted on the walls, definitely shows you that a bunch of their crafts are easy to do especially for beginners or those who want to be crafty but don’t have the time to do everything from scratch like myself.
Obviously all good things like this come with a price, so some of their things are pricey, but it’s all the price for the convenience.
They also hold project classes and have signs in the back with dates and prices.

During our elementary school years, my sister and I would beg our Mom to take us to the Stationery Store on Poway Road. Bouquets of sharpened pencils, sharpies in every color, brightly colored butcher paper rolls on large spools, glitter in all shapes and stickers slick or fuzzy. It was a magical place that smelled like hope to two girls that were tired of the stale stink of cigarettes and owl pellets from the borough known as Garden Road. Since that time, we’ve grown up but neither of us have overcome our addiction to stationery stores, even though most of them have faded away like unicorn sun catchers.
While Chun P. had a phone repaired the other day at Verizon, I popped by Paper Source and fell in love just a little bit. Clever cards, fine vellum, and quirky gifts. Shopgirls were friendly and had just the right about of hipster, bird brooches and ribbon headbands just right.
I picked up five fine cards and was a bit surprised by the cost (almost $ 30), the price of which would have provided a flock of ducks to an impoverished South Asian family:
