Not knowing Dr. Walls passed away, I just referred him to my Newborn Parenting Class. I was with him the day before he passed when the office had a mixup and was going to reschedule us, I was so upset but Dr. Walls said he would see us even though it was during his lunch break. He wasn’t grumpy about it and after seeing him I felt happy and better. Can you believe it that on his last day at work he was still such an amazing sweet man. He took the time to listen to us and play with my two boys. we will miss you! «Keep up the Good Work!» as he would say.

Words can’t even describe how heartbroken I am to hear about Dr. Walls recent passing. I just called to schedule my children’s well visit and was shocked when I heard the news.
I agree with the other reviewer about how incredible he was. We moved to carmel valley out of la jolla and I still drove my kids to see him. He was the pediatrician you dreamed of having for your children. Very calm, passionate and he gave the best unpublished advice. He will be greatly missed by all 3 of my children.

«Well HELLOO PRINCESS!» This is how Dr Walls greeted both of my daughters since the moment they were born. What a marvelous Pediatrician. His bedside manner, respectful hand holding of new parents can’t be beat. His knowledge of his field and the respect he has from collegues cannot be higher. The level of care and obvious love of his job… what more could we ask in a physician for my greatest treasure.

I opened a Unilocal account recently and had been planning on leaving Dr. Walls a five star review. I was told this past weekend that Dr. Walls died unexpectedly and I can’t even begin to describe how heartbroken I felt when I heard the news. I decided to go ahead and leave my review for him because he was such a kind wonderful man. We were lucky to find him and I was so happy that my girls were going to grow up with him as their doctor.
Dr. Walls was warm, reassuring, brilliant, and fantastic with children. It was clear he loved what he did and his eyes always seemed to glow. He could answer any question we ever asked (seriously) and other doctors thought really highly of him too. He didn’t always agree with some of our decisions, yet he was so respectful and accepting. My husband and I had some very good, interesting, and even fun conversations with him over the past several years and I’m glad I got to see his humorous witty side. What an amazing person to have in the world to help and protect children.
And to the guy who left a two star review because the office ran late, he was probably running late because he was busy reassuring nervous new parents, taking the time to answer all of their questions, and not rushing them out the door. Not once did we ever feel rushed in his calm steady presence and he often spent more than fifteen minutes with us. He was one of the finest pediatricians in San Diego and it was a privilege and an honor to have him as our children’s doctor. I don’t think we will ever find another pediatrician we like as much as we liked, loved, and adored Dr. Walls.

We have been going to this practice for 10 years, and are just fed up. The doctors are wonderful, but every single time they run 30 minutes to over an hour late. It’s not just once in a while, but every time. Their business management is terrible. We have had face to face critiques with them over the last year about their disrespect for our time, and they just make excuses every time. We not only talked to the office practice manager, but to the doctors directly. They are so busy billing time through over scheduling patients, that they don’t care how long they make people wait. The nurses make it even worse, as they will promise that it’s only a 15 minute wait, and then a hour and 15 minutes later you are finally seen… and they give you nothing but attitude. If we didn’t live nearby, we would have moved doctors years ago, but we are stuck with this mess of a business that they run. If you don’t live in La Jolla Village, I recommend that you find a quality provider elsewhere!

Dr. Walls is a fantastic pediatrician and our son loves going to see him. Walls is extremely knowledgeable and has a great manner with kids.

We love bringing our baby girl to Dr Walls. He is so reassuring! And we are on a delayed vaccination schedule which has been working out really well for us.
