Delicious! I had the pork and fish sliders with sweet potato fries. The buns are soft and flavorful. The pork was sweet and tender. I’m not a fan of sweet pickles, but these were house made. Thin and crisp and not too sweet. The fish was a patty(as opposed to a filet) but it was house made and grilled thin and crisp(not breaded and fried). Fish cake? But it didn’t have a lot of filler and the flavor of the fish really came through. I’m not a big fan of tartar sauce, but here it was delicious – complementing the fish as opposed to drowning or overpowering. The sweet potato fries were good but not exceptional. However, they didn’t charge extra for them as most places do. You could get regular, sweet, or mixed for your fries order. I ordered a beef slider to go for my daughter. I didn’t taste it myself, but her text review was OMGITWASSOGOOD.

I just found this place today as I was driving by. I am already a huge fan. I was helped by Kimmie who was very nice and explained to me that if you get more than one slider you can mix and match. The sweet potato fries are soooooo good, I got the mix and regretted not getting all sweet potato. The atmosphere is great, they donate tips to charity and have an eating contest

A hidden gem in la Mesa. Wow. I am very impressed with the quality of these slides. Miniature burgers with outstanding taste. We walked in not knowing what to expect, and the lady at the register was very nice and explained everything on the menu, and I mean everything. Come to find out, she’s the assistant manager. Anyway, order the combo, comes with 2 slides, fries and a drink. You can pick from beef, turkey, chicken, eggplant. I ordered the beef. While waiting for the food to come out, there are games to play or karaōke. Lol. Good stuff to kill time. Got the burgers and the taste of the burger was awesome, there was a nice kick to it with the chipotle sauce that they had. I’m very impressed. The location is pretty random, but it’s well worth the drive. It’s not that hard to find either.

What a great deal with delicious food! Their sliders are great and fresh made to order. Sliders are less than 2 bucks each and the more you order the cheaper the price each. They were all very tasty and the server was very nice and helpful. What a great place to get lunch at a really good deal!

Hidden beneath a pile of freshly baked flour… deep within the green flaky leaf of lettuce… just under a red ripe juicy tomato… and hang a left at the homemade pickle you will find a fish slider. Fish. What. The. Fish?! Yep, this sliders only deli style eatery located just outside the heart of La Mesa offers four kinds of meats for your appetite, and one monthly special. Beef. Hand mixed with onions a just a bit over done for me. Turkey. A typical looking patty that was also just a bit overdone for me, but still tasty. Chicken. Cock-a-doodle what? A thin patty bursting with juicy flavor. Fish. This grilled piece of fish is hand seasoned before being formed into a patty and placed in the belly bomb of not so fishy flavored goodness. Finding Slides is similar to seeking a cat in a dog park. Hidden neatly off of one of the main drags through La Mesa, it lies in a small shopping center next to a corporate run sandwich shop specializing in a nine inch foot long. With the main road board reading ‘burgers’ it is easily missed if you are searching for the name of the joint as you slide by in typical La Mesa traffic. Parking is easier to find than one would assume with plenty of spaces provided in the lot thanks to the gym in the same center. As you enter it is easily identified as a small business with its simple styling and decorations. The beast of a kitchen in the back appears to be where most of the money was spent while the painting of the walls and hanging of the signs appears as though it was done by someone preparing their local VFW for a wedding reception. I was certainly skeptical at this point, especially with zero customers in the restaurant. I ordered one of each(duh) of their sliders minus the only veggie(rebel) and tasted each with an open mind. First the fish. I was amazed at what lay’d beneath the freshly baked bun. I won’t lie, it scared me until it hit my tastebuds. Like plugging your nose and eating stinky cheese I took a bite. Holy mother of pearl~! It was far better than I had imagined with perfectly seasoned fish and fresh veggies. I refused to order any of the extras(grilled onions, cheese, avocado, etc) so I could enjoy the morsels as they were meant to be. Next came the chicken. A bursting with flavor I had expected only a dry piece of meat to be covered by the flavors of the fresh crisp lettuce, tomato, and pickle that adorned it. The turkey was a bit dry, but not overly so while the beef(with onion) simply panned out to not being my favorite. The meat of the month was the pulled pork which was warm, not hot, and sweet. It was pretty great for sweet pulled pork, though I would like to see it toned down a bit. Just before leaving I decided to jump into a chocolate and peanut butter milkshake. Why not, right? What. Have. I. Found?! Sure the chocolate was chocolaty — but the peanut butter was… peanut butter~! No flavor syrups here, this thick, straw choking, creamy butter nearly overpowered the chocolate but provided the nearly perfect mix of chocolate and peanut butter. The cream of the shake was a bit too gritty for me, but overall not bad. At just around $ 2 a slider the price point is fair and chances that I return if in the area share the fair to good chance.

This would be a two star review if it were not for a friend who still swears up and down that this place is the bee’s knees, so they get a star from me for pleasing some of the people, some of the time. Personally, it’s all just kind of «eh» for me… I had three salad style slides… Beef, turkey, and fish. They all pretty much tasted the same! Everything was completely overpowered by the sweet pickles inside. Unfortunately, I’m really not a fan of sweet pickles and it was all I could taste. The patties themselves are little slivers of meat so, unfortunate for me again, without the buns, these are not very satisfying. Fries were tasty but I order salad style because I’m a diabetic, so all I get is a taste of that indulgence. All and all, disappointing for me(And likely you if you’re going bun-less) but enjoyed by others. Hold the pickles please.

Came in here spontaneously because I was in the area. I love sliders, they’re so easy to eat! Beef was the best choice, pulled pork was good too, and the fish was okay. My fiancé liked the fish so I guess it’s personal preference. The French fries were crispy and made perfectly so it was soft on the inside. The cashier explained the food to us really well. So customer service points forsure They have local artists paintings on the wall. And things to read on the other wall. It’s only offensive if you don’t have a sense of humor

Very yummy sliders. Second time to go in there, super friendly, and Great food. They make there own buns, and pickle. Super clean and welcoming! You should check them out if your near La Mesa, off of University Avenue. I will definitely be back. They use top quality meat, something for everyone. Hamburger, turkey, chicken, fish, pulled pork, and or egg plant.. Try them!!!

Love this place! Second time here and still love it. Currently drinking a coffee shake and its giving me LIFE!!! This place is awesome to me because it supports charity, local businesses and artists! Hard to find places like this around these days. Customer service is always great here. We tried the fish, pulled pork, turkey and(because we were lucky) lobster sliders!!!(not on the menu yet). and they were all sooooooo good! I love the chipotle mayo sauce they used on the burgers and the sweet potato fries were good. The owner of this place is a really nice laid back guy. He is very funny! We didnt come during a rush so we really got to enjoy the place to ourselves. There are games, art and a KAREOKEMACHINE(which I totally used) all around fhe restaurant. the mic for the machine is awesome. Overall this is a great fun place. Good for kids, parties, groups etc. I will definitely be back !!!

Little hamburgers with a big heart! The staff and owner were extremely friendly. We came in for during a slow period and the owner let us try some of his new creations for the menu! There is plenty of seating and a small patio outside. There’s a lot of local artwork on the wall. And there are big potatoes sacks hanging the ceiling. It has a really chill local vibe. I tried the chicken, beef, turkey, pulled pork and the secret lobster slider. They were all amazeballs! I highly recommend trying the pulled pork. The meat and sauce were sublime. The buns they use for the sliders are top quality. Theres so many positive things to say about the place, best thing is to do is come down here yourself and try it!

Dined in around 5 p.m. with my partner we both ordered the 2 sliders for 5 $ deal both getting the BBQ Pulled Pork Sliders + Mixed fries, and tried the coffee shake. The shake and the mixed fries were superb. The BBQ Pulled pork sliders were a little too tangy and sweet for our taste. Wishin we tried the eggplant, chicken, or fish alongside 1 pulled pork slider now. We will definitely come back to cross those items off the list as the customer service gets 5 stars. Excellent service from both the employees(cashier/server) & the(cook, I believe owner) who went out of their way to ensure our satisfaction and converse with us. 4 stars pending for now.

They make great sliders here. I’m not big on burgers, but I could see myself coming back here. Easy menu with beef, chicken, and fish sliders. I never had a fish slider before, definitely curious to try one. You can mix regular fries with SP fries. They make their own buns too. I also like that they use their big wall to feature local artists… (Minus one star: sliders are slightly on the small side)

The BF and I went to Slides Gourmet Burgers, Fries and Shakes for the first lunch we ever had together in SD once I moved. We actually stumbled upon the place by accident … we were looking at Unilocal for nearby places to eat and he said this burger joint had pretty good reviews. Slides is located in a small plaza and there’s sufficient parking, as the eatery is located to a bunch of other stores. Because we went on a Friday during the summer, the eatery was pretty empty — there was only one other couple in there besides us! I was glad that we didn’t have to wait too long for our food to come out, and we could enjoy our lunch in peace. The eatery itself was actually pretty spacious, with lots of tables and chairs for potential customers. The menu is simple, which was good because it doesn’t make it hard to order. Slides is known for their in-house baked bread, fresh meats, grilled fish and fresh veggies. You can either order single sliders, or opt for batches of two or three. You can also get a combination or the«Weekday Lunch Special,» which includes the current«Slider of the Month.» This place wasn’t close to any major shopping mall or whatnot, so I do hope they stay in business because I very much enjoyed my lunch from there! I would definitely return to Slides to try some of the other options on the menu. Here’s what the BF and I ordered: «Fish and Turkey Sliders»: I got one fish slider and one turkey slider to try and man! That fish slider is my new favorite. I really did like the turkey slider – it tasted fresh and flavorful – but I really liked the taste of the fish slider. The patty was done to perfection! Grilled onions, avocado, cheese and bacon can be added to your slider for a slight fee, so I added cheese to my turkey slider. However, the fish didn’t really need additional ingredients … I enjoyed it just the way it was and I would order it again in a heartbeat! «Combo Pack»: The BF got this entrée so I could share some of the fries, and he also wanted to try two different sliders. He opted for the beef and turkey, and he said he enjoyed both bite-sized pieces. However, after taking a bite of my fish slider, he said he was definitely ordering that one next time! I’m not sure what it was about that fish slider… it just tasted so fresh and flavorful. But I digress – the fries at this place were really good, and I am curios to try the«Sweet(Potato) + Regular» mix someday to experience the best of both worlds. This was a pretty good deal for just under $ 7 and included just enough elements for a filling lunch. «Slider of the Month»: Be sure you ask about the featured«Slider of the Month»(it should be on the eatery’s menu and website). Currently, the featured slider is a delicious-sounding«Barbecue Pulled Pork» option that features succulent, savory pulled pork meat inside of that fresh bread bun. Yum! I do love a good pulled pork sandwich so I can’t wait to taste this slider at some point. «Vanilla or Chocolate Shake»: I was too full from lunch to get any dessert, but I am curious to try one of the shake options at Slides one day. Depending on my mood, I would opt for either chocolate or vanilla, but one thing’s for sure — I would spend a few extra cents to add peanut butter or OREO cookies(or perhaps both) to enhance my shake’s sweetness factor!

This spot was truly incredible. The client administration was on point, the costs were incredible, and above all the sustenance was astonishing. They know how to flame broil again there. Verify you exploit the pulled pork and don’t be hesitant to attempt the diverse meats. They have something for everyone. just a little note to administration: There is a young person there who meets expectations the register. She is unimaginably sweet, and adorable. I profoundly prescribe this spot. We’ll most likely return in the precise not so distant future! Incredible spot you must go there and have a lovely encounter.

I found this place through the«live deal» app. It’s an app that has coupons for places that are nearby. Pretty cool. When we first got there, the lady at the counter was super nice and greeted us. When we were ordering, they were confused about the coupon I showed them on the app(but one combo, get the second ½ off). They said it wasn’t for their business. As she continued to look at it, she noticed that the address and phone number were for her business. She showed it to the cook, who was also confused. They took a picture of it and everything because they’ve never heard of the app or the coupon. Given allllll that trouble, they were kind to enough to be very nice through it all and kept saying that had to honor it even if they didn’t know about it. We ordered 4 beef sliders, one eggplant, and one pulled pork. All were amaze. And we ordered the 4 sliders as the combos for the coupon. All together(6 sliders, 2 fries, 2 drinks) we paid $ 15! Pretty good deal! The only thing was… They make everything fresh, so don’t expect your food to come out like fast food. It may take a while.

The food is spectacular! I’ve been here quite a few times and have every intention of coming back. Just a small note to management: There is a young girl there who works the register. She is incredibly sweet, it seems to me this might be her first job. I’ve noticed she’s been chastised a couple of times(once for forgetting to give a customer their order number) in public view. I feel that should be done privately and not in the public eye. It’s a little awkward, for all parties involved I’m sure, that I have to witness that while I’m literally handing my cash to her. I felt it was unprofessional for the person correcting her actions to do so.

Popped in for lunch when I felt my blood sugar start to drop. The lady at the counter greeted me with a hello and graciously explained the menu. I opted for the 3 pack and selected the fish, turkey, and good olé beef sliders. Reading the store’s literature it stated that the buns are fresh baked daily, the pickles are housemade, and the burgers have an asian influenced seasoning. The cook brought out the sliders and the buns were flaky on top and mindblowingly soft in the middle. The house pickles are a revelation and are the best in my recent memory. I could taste the asian influence most in these, like they were pickled in a sweet rice vinegar, and they had a delightful crunch too em. The fish was a patty and reminded me of my grandmother’s salmon patties when I was a lad. The beef was good and came with lettuce, tomato, red onions, and a zesty mayo. The ground turkey was moist and had a smoky flavoring that was my fave. All these contrasting flavors + a small vanilla oreo shake for $ 9 made for a fun, cheap lunch. Will be back.

It always gets me when the food is either mini or ginormous and mini burgers are no exception. I came here and got one of each slider to try it out with fries and a drink.(BTW, they have Fuze Raspberry tea which I love mixing with Sprite)! They had beef, turkey, chicken, fish, pulled pork(and an eggplant one which is not on the menu). Beef: pretty good. It was juicy and had good flavor. Turkey and Chicken: tasted really similar to me. Good though. Fish: this one was okay. It didn’t seem like fresh fish to me. Pulled pork: This one was good. It was tender and had a flavorful BBQ marinade. The fries were super good! Probably one of my top 5! They were thin, perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and seasoned really well. The owner came around and checked on us and the BF kiddingly joked that I wanted more fries and he generously came back with another basket of fries with some sweet potato ones mixed into it. I never get sweet potato fries anywhere and never know what the hype was about for it but the ones here are really good! The BF knew to stay away from my fries! haha Overall, this place has good sliders. I like the different variety and the mini portions because I can never finish a normal burger by myself. I would come here for a small dinner or a quick bite or even just the fries! YUMMM!
