Always great service, quiet so you can chat with a friend, work, study, read, relax, etc. plenty of places to sit(couches, chairs, stools, tables), public restrooms, great coffee and tons of snacks(bakery items)

This location is a hit or miss. The afternoon staff is friendly and try to engage you. They have different standards on how to prepare your drink. The morning crew is very unfriendly. Been going here for four years and not once has anyone tried to learn my name or engage in a conversation. They always tell me about company policies but they don’t even follow the basic one: Starbuck’s legendary customer service. In the morning, whomever is on bar always burns my shots. $ 5 – 7 for a drink they should have higher standards or some pride in their craft. I miss Cosmos.

The service here is top-notch. To be honest, I am not the biggest fan of Starbucks, however, I received wonderful service from Posey. I am rather particular about my preferences, and Posey was so personable and conscientious. I ended up with the Tall(Tall?!? They’ve got to be kidding!) Misto with 2% steamed milk and Christmas Blond Roast and vanilla syrup for $ 3.55. Mmmmmmm.

I like this one, it looks small from the outside but it’s huge inside. The only thing I don’t like about this place is that the poor staff have to deal with the scum from the local trolley stop coming into their business and doing weird stuff.

Best Starbucks EVER! The staff at the register is always so nice and helpful. I am not sure of the name but there is a sweet Asian lady in her mid 40’s that always helps me early in the am and she is always on her game. They all work hard at this Starbucks and drinks are out super quick. I have been coming here for 2 years and so far not one disappointment!

If I could put 0 stars I would, one of the worst place ever, employees are not friendly, I ordered 3 drinks and pastries and ask for a cup of water, when I got the drinks and asked for my cup of ice water, the lady said«okay one second». I waited 5 freakin minutes and asked again, the other guy said«oh you have to fall in line again for the water» are you serious?! Never coming back…

This Starbucks isn’t so bad. Yes, parking can be a bit rough sometimes, especially with a lot of people either backing out or coming in to park, but they do have some of the nicer employees I’ve come across(Eri is super friendly, energetic and makes any transaction fun! Thank you Eri!). The seating is nice and the interior is a bit dim, but still a good place to sit and relax. The people that work here are friendly and welcoming. True, their hours aren’t the greatest, but honestly when I’ve gone to this location I’ve left with what I’ve wanted to drink and happy.

Probably the worst hours in the history of this company. I know La Mesa is slow at night but who knows what you could drum up if you were open past 8pm or, I don’t know, you carried all your menu items, all the time… Not just at the start of the day. Their staff is friendly until they’re irritated with something… Then forget it. Skip this spot and hit up the local coffee shops nearby.

I like this Starbucks. I asked for a small decaf and none was brewed so they offered am Americano at the same price. Cool! I also forgot my phone. When I went back for it they had it waiting for me. I wish it were open later and the parking lot can be really busy. But still, I like this Starbucks.

This location gets top marks because of the sweetest cashier/barista I’ve ever encountered. The Japanese woman that was working at the checkout was very friendly, polite, and so helpful. She seemed to genuinely love her job and was in a great mood. This isn’t the closest location to work or home but well worth the extra miles to receive such amazing customer service.

You’d think that if you have to wait 25 minutes for a cup of coffee midday on a Sunday, that: 1) they’d write your order down and not wait until you’re at the window to ask what it was and make it, and 2) that when that does happen, the curt woman at the window would at least be apologetic about it.

This was absolutely the best Starbucks experience I have ever had because of Eri and her wonderful customer service. I will be back and I recommend everyone come here so you can experience this and learn what customer service is.

One of my favorite Starbucks locations. Conveniently located near my place, thank goodness. Staff is always so friendly to me and carry a nice morning conversation. They make me feel like I’m a guest in their home versus feeling like the next customer in line. Drinks are made the way I like them and they don’t give you a hard time if you have any special requests. The best part is they ring your transactions separately so for those who are Gold members you get extra stars much faster for that free item. Wooo!

Great ambiance, very cool for the summer, very kind staff, and there are outlets all over for each table! Seems to always be enough room for me to sit and get a table… its just the prices! Outrageous. But – 21 dollar mug keeps my iced coffee with cubs still in it by the end of the day!

One of my 1st ever, rare bad reviews. Why? I loooove Starbucks and have never been dissatisfied can make a long story short they don’t have public restroom, so don’t come to the Starbucks if you want to sit and stay for awhile with a group or for a study session… because after drinking a venti water or a venti whatever drink you get, you have to use the restroom and you can’t do it here and you can’t do it next door in subway or anywhere nearby… are you kidding me?! Boo! I added pics for proof

I agree with everyone else regarding the service. It is great here, especially the super sweet Asian lady who is usually there in the mornings. Lots of indoor seating and it is clean. Also usually not too busy in here so you can get in and out really fast. This is especially noticeable if you’re coming here for your pre work drink. Other than that it’s everything you’d expect from a Starbucks.

Stopped by here on our last day in SD and the coffee was as it should taste. What stood out the most was the Asian lady who took my order. She was so genuinely happy and so nice that it automatically brightened up a normal day :-)

I stopped by this Starbucks for some coffee, and for the first time, to try their oatmeal breakfast. I had my regular Pikes Place Grande with some room. When they handed me the oatmeal, I was surprised that they did not mix in all the ingredients. The oatmeal came in a container with hot water,( ) and they handed me a package of cranberries and raisins, a package of 50 calories brown sugar, and finally a package of chopped nuts. I put all the ingredients in, mixed them well, and let the oatmeal sit with the lid on for 3 minutes as instructed. That was a lot of work. Finally, the oatmeal was done.( ) Well, the work paid off because it was really good. It cost $ 2 and some change. The service was very good but they laughed at me when I asked if they were going to stir my oatmeal for me like they do at McDonald’s.
