Sparkly Nails

Not happy. When I arrived right at opening, no one else was there, I explained exactly what I wanted. I wanted a fill and the same type of nail paint as what I already had. I even had additional photos on my phone. She said yes, she could do it. I said I wanted them trimmed/​filed a little shorter, and she told me they «look so pretty» as they are. Now I realize she just didn’t want to take the time to cut and file them. She asks me to pay before painting, I did. then she sits down to paint and I remind her with a picture how they are suppose to look, and she says, «that’s more money.» I said, «I thought I made it pretty clear this is what I wanted since I walked in.» «More money,» is the response I get. So I pay more. She seems hesitant as she’s looking at my nails and I said, «can you paint my nails like that?» She seems so unsure I said «fine just do it (this way).» I hate the way my nails looked, they were so long that two days later I had to cut them they were so uncomfortably long, and then I had to file and repaint them. What a waste.

I am extremely picky when it comes to my nails and they did an amazing job and they’re extremely sweet. I am really excited I gave them a try! Thank you, Tony and Kristen.

I found this salon on Unilocal and chose them based on the reviews. It defiantly delivered!!! Very clean shop. Tony and Christy were TERRIFIC !!! Tony is perfection with nail sculpting & Christy made my toes/​feet beautiful. As a long time mani/​pedi customer in general, I highly recommend Sparkle Nail!

FaBuLouS! Tony and Lisa are the best. So friendly and welcoming and they both paid great attention to detail. Highly recommend. I got a gel manicure and spa pedicure with callous removal for a great price. I will definitely come back.

I took my niece here and they did a pretty good job. I’m not familiar with shops in the area and I wanted to make a reservation here for both of us on short notice. Our nails were definitely clean, fresh and sparkly. I think she had a great time. Its a bit of a hole in the wall kind of place, but they are nice and they do a good job.

The lady who has been doing my pedicure the past 5 years unfortunately moved so I had to find a new nail salon and I’m GLAD I found this one!!! Lisa and Kelly were very polite and not pushy. They did not try to up sale anything. Very small and personable salon. I am very happy with my fill and pedicure and I will be back!

Service is always great and the owners are lovely as well! They provide the best service for their customers and I always leave satisfied.

I am puzzled as to why this place has decent reviews. I decided to come here because the other places around here have even worst ratings than this. So I decided to give this place a go. And from the moment I walked in I should’ve known better. I didn’t realized they use the same tools on everyone till I she was already working on my feet! She kept filling on my skin instead of on my toe nails! Now I have a small cut thanks to that! Overpriced! Paid $ 30 for a regular pedicure not even gel! If you want a good pedicure and good nails go to Bel Age in lake forest. They do a great job and use new tools every time!

Clean with a nice selection of gel nail polish. Technician did extra coats bc she thought the polish was too thin at no extra charge. Gel manicure came out at $ 28. Friendly service!

I’d just about given upon finding a good nail place near Aliso, but I found this place on Unilocal and it was great. Went in on a Saturday morning and it was quiet and they were quick to get started. I got the Royal Pedicure from Lisa and she was fantastic. Asked how I wanted my nails shaped and showed me after the first one, which I feel like no one does anymore. She fixed a broken nail for me and was super sweet. Her massage was awesome too. She’s really talented and so nice that I’m definitely coming back!

Went here for a mani pedi and I was very disappointed.
There was only 2 people there and they turned away so many customers, and not in a very polite way either. Definitely need more people there if they are that busy on Wednesday afternoon.
It also wasn’t sanitary at all — the spa chairs are not covered with bags when used so everyone is putting their feet in the same tub. The tools are also reused for all customers; they looked old and a bit rusted.
Tony did my nails and a simple mani pedi took almost 2 hours! So long and it wasn’t very detailed either. Other places take half the time and are much for detailed. I chose a light color so Tony did an extra coat, but the coat was too thick so it was super mushy — it took almost 8 hours to fully harden. I messed it up because I couldn’t go so long without touching anything.
Definitely won’t be back.

I came here for the gel wizard Tony and he did not disappoint! My nail beds are naturally dry so I usually end up with gel all over the edges of my skin, but not with Tony — he is meticulous!
As my schedule got too busy for gel upkeep, I switched to regular polish manicures… Tony didn’t do it so I was nervous at first. Until 6 days later when my polish was still perfect — unheard of! I am brutal with my hands so my polish manicures usually last 2 – 3 days before chipping.
Great staff I’m happy to have a reliable salon right near my house.

Awesome customer service! I appreciate the quiet and relaxing atmosphere of the place. But more than that, I appreciate the care they take into providing the customer with the best of service. Always satisfied after my visit.

I was really disappointed with the manicure I received. I requested a square shape nail with rounded corners so they weren’t sharp, the lady completely filed off the entire corner of my nails. She didn’t ask if I liked it after doing just one, and continued to make all the nails that way. I didn’t want to be rude and make her start over again, that would have been so much work. I ended up paying $ 42 w/​tip. Overall disappointed in pricing and service.

Very positive experience. A friend and I went in on our hour long lunch break at work. I was getting a fill with regular polish and she was getting gel polish. We didn’t even have to tell them we were on limited time, because they were very quick.
I didn’t catch the name of the person who did my nails, but he was so detail oriented and I walked out of there with them looking perfect. Best acrylics I have ever gotten!

I had Tony do my nails and he did an amazing job!!! He took his time and made sure each nail was perfect. I will definitely be back soon! It was a relaxing place, and I didn’t real rushed at all. Ask for Tony! Thank you Tony!

I just had a pedicure here at Sparkly Nails by Sandy. Sandy was very friendly and gentle. Her massage was terrific, but could have lasted a bit longer. Otherwise I have no complaints. The salon is immaculate, with no strong odor from any nail products. The tools she used on me, came out of a bag which indicates they were sterilized. That impresses me a lot.
My overall experience was very positive. Sparky Nails gets 5 stars outta me!
If you go here, I highly recommend Sandy. I’m definitely coming back here again!

I have frequented this nail salon many times and I have never been disappointed. The staff male and female are very friendly and NOT pushy. I order what I want and do not feel bombarded by the usual round of product offerings and upgrades. Anthony is great and thorough and speaks fluent English! Even their spa chairs are better than most and actually give that shiatsu massage. Open on Mondays! Woohoo!
