While visiting Lake Elsinore I happened upon this restaurant as I was craving Japanese food. I chose the right one from Unilocal!I had a combo plate of mixed tempura and sashimi. Everything was perfect for each of the items on the combo. I wanted something light. However, there was a misunderstanding between me and my Server (I still think it was my deep southern drawl that caused it.) But the owner got wind of it and gave me a complimentary order of teriyaki beef. It was the best I have ever tasted. It really impresses me when owners, managers or servers compensate for misunderstandings. I was happy with the server taking responsibility for it (even though it may have been my fault. Damn that sexy, southern drawl !! Service, food and atmosphere at the highest level.

Favorite place to go for Sushi. Love thecucumber salad, imperial roll, and crunch roll.

Tried hana sushi for the first time today and it was so delicious I would recommend this to anybody… Mai was a terrific server. Super friendly and sweet.

Love the food. The staff are friendly and always ask if we need anything. We always gets the Crunch Roll, Las Vegas Roll and Baked Salmon. Our all time favorites!

Lunch trio all the way! I come to work in lake Elsinore once a week, and always have to stop here. Good portions, great quality, really awesome staff.

I brought my mom here to try her first sushi experience. She’s the type that thinks eating raw fish is disgusting and always crinkles her nose at the thought of sushi… but somehow I lured her in here. I’m so glad I did!
We were promptly greeted by all the chefs and waitresses. This place has a friendly and attentive service, but most importantly, the sushi is delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented. Our waitress was very helpful and helped my mom choose a roll that would best suit a first timer. We ordered the Cajun Tuna Roll and the Volcano Roll. My mom was absolutely shocked how delicious the sushi was. There was no fishy smell or aftertaste and everything was consumed in under 10 minutes. Haha! My mom and I definitely will be back and start a new mother/​daughter tradition. Thanks Hana Sushi!

Ordered a phone order they say 10 – 15 min ended up waiting 25 minutes I ordered 2 orders and they shoved it all in one box and to top it off food was room temp when my rolls should have been cold and meat hot

Probably very good — but we didn’t stay to eat because my men wanted All You Can Eat! I’ll just have to go back by myself! It looked nice and clean and very nice hostess.

I love eating at this place in Canyon Hills. The food is always good the the people are always nice. One of my top 5 places to eat hands down.

I came here for lunch and ordered the 3 half roll lunch special. The food was good and service was quick. The only thing I recommend this place to do is add some non spicy rolls to their selection choice. There were 10 rolls I could choose from but ¾ of the menu was either spicy tuna or spicy crab and the ones that weren’t spicy either had cream cheese or were deep fried. I would like to see more of a variety of selection.

Honestly, I’ve tied sushi and wasn’t a fan ever. But then I tried Hana sushi I KNEW I was actually eating real fish! The flavor is hands down the best sushi I have ever tried. Might be pricey for some but I rather eat real fish! Your taste buds will go through the ruff! So fresh and so good

Hana sushi has great sushi and the rolls are bigger than some other local restraints. We had an amber and a dragon roll and both were fresh and delish. I got it to go and it was ready quickly. We will return.

I walked into this place with less than high expectations as it is located in a strip mall, and in the Inland Empire (nothing against the I.E., I simply don’t think of the I.E. When thinking of amazing, fresh sushi) however, I was VERY impressed with the quality and freshness of the food, their salads and sushi are just perfect.
They also offer an extensive menu of craft rolls, most of which I’ve never tried, yet have seen at neighboring tables and look yummy.
Prices are average, but they do have a great happy Hour menu every day from 3 – 5 pm ($ 1.99 beer… Uhm, yes!)
Service is always fast and friendly.
If you’re a local, be sure to ask for a rewards card as it’s always nice to save a little in the long run, and look out for their coupons on the local restaurant magazine delivered by Mail.

This place is awesome! I have been going here for years and the service never changed. Very friendly and food is always fresh! This place will always be #1. If your looking for a place for sushi fresh food — this is it!

This place has the best sushi in these parts. The owners a great as well. We love the happy hour, but we also like to order the sushi party trays. They see one of my family members once or twice a week. We love it!

Seeing all the awesome reviews here. I got the Chirashi, which is my favorite. Some of the fish was gray, or light colored (like the tuna which should be a bright red and it was a light pink). The omelette sushi was rubbery. My family and I started off with several different rolls. We tried a roll that had cooked real crab — it was fishy tasting. Sushi should never be fishy.

Me & my sister was craving sushi so we decided to go to this place because it was the highest rating! This place was okay, I’ve had better. We paid $ 90 for 3 rolls and 2 bento boxes, which is kind of pricey. The service was okayish, the waitresses were nice but they didn’t check on us once. I always had to ask. Anyways, I give this place 3 stars because the Michelle roll was really good! We also had funky monkey, which was okay, and the ichiban roll which wasn’t all that. All in all, this place was okay.

Very yummy! Ate at the bar, service was excellent & sushi was fresh and delicious! I like this location better then the one inside the Menifee shopping center.

Out of all the sushi places within my area let me start off by saying that this is by far my favorite. I frequent the place quite a lot, not only for their food but their customer service. People are very friendly and the vibe is always relaxing. As for quality, the quality is superb. Ive never had any complaints about anything ive ordered from here. Its definitely worth going during happy hours. As its always great to get your favorite rolls for a little cheaper and considering it doesnt really get packed during those hours its great. Oh and you can get Sapporo for 1.98 i believe during happy hours. I definitely recommend this to people trying to figure out if they should go to sushi zen or Hana.

We always visit this restaurant when we’re in the area. The food is very good and pretty fresh. I highly recommend trying the amber roll, which is my all time favorite, as well as the dragon roll. During this particular visit, we got one of the sashimi dishes which had pretty thick pieces of sashimi. The staff was nice as well and checked on us to make sure we were doing okay and to refill our waters.
[update 12/​30/​2015] Came here again this past Sunday and it was still great. If you like baked rolls, I would recommend the Michelle roll. If you’re a salad person, they have a salad where they make their own dressing and it’s delicious. Don’t quite remember what it was called though. Also, their uni was very fresh that day which made our group pretty happy :)

Love this place! My husband and I have been eating here at least once a week for a while now. The fish is fresher than other local places, and the portions are huge! Our favorites are tuna and yellowtail, and they will make killer custom rolls for us incorporating all our favorite ingredients.

Best sushi in town, and the customer service is great. Will definitely make this my number one sushi place.

Helpful staff, always fast service. I love the Crazy boy roll. It’s delicious with the soy sauce. Also try the seaweed salad.

Awesome salmon shashimi and seaweed salad… I Hana Sushi. I suggest it to those who love fresh sushi. Great rolls and awesome chefs. Great staff and customer service. Awesome experience every time.

Best sushi place I’ve been to in Southern California so far. Nice atmosphere, good service, and great food. The quality of the fish in the rolls was definitely there. I had the spicy tuna roll and the Cajun tuna roll (specialty roll). Both were amazing.
Prices are a bit higher than what I expected. Normally I see $ 11 – 13 for specialty rolls, here they are mostly around $ 14 – 16. It was worth it and I’ll definitely be back.

Went to grab a bite to eat with a friend before seeing a movie. We both ordered the same meal. The food was very salty (Chicken Teriyaki), Tempera had a dry flour dough consistency, and some of the vegetables were soggy. I had just been to Hana Sushi in Menifee the prior week and although the menus are the same I found the food much better at the Menifee location. I mentioned this to my husband and he informed me that he also prefers the Menifee location, stating the Sushi is better at that location. It was a very busy night and the service was fine, that’s why I gave the three stars. Life happens…

I love Hana Sushi, great food! Favorite rolls are the Golden Hana Roll and the Spanish roll! There lunch special is a great idea too if your looking for variety for cheap :) I am a regular here and the service is not steady good or bad. Prices are a little high.

Great food, clean place great for family. Sushi is fresh the muscles are bomb!

I would like to start off that the service here is unmatched. I made an accident by saying I wanted a salmon and yellowtail cut roll. Little did I know that the regular rolls and the spicy rolls are so different!
Sonya, the kind woman who took my order came to my table with the rolls in hand. When I opened the box, they were not the ones I wanted at all. The regular rolls have seaweed wrapped around them; the spicy ones have rice around them.
Oops.
After asking to replace them, Sonya was reluctant. I felt so in the wrong. Anxiety filled my head and I hated myself for not being specific. However, when the check rolled by, she asked me if they were for me or another person. They were in fact for my dear mother. After saying that, she said she would replace them. Relief flushed through my entire body and once again my life was in order. 5 minutes later, the glorious rolls came out.
Thank you so much, Sonya. You are the definition of customer service. I am forever grateful.

Great place for sushi! The only issue I had with this place was the lack guidance of the menu. They Golden Hana Roll is fantastic. They are generous with their roll portions. All of the chef behind the sushi bar looked and acted like professionals. Give this place a try.

Family and I were looking for a good sushi place. Tried a couple in Murrieta & Wildomar and were not happy but we decided to give Hanas in Lake Elsinore a try and were content with this cool establishment. Sushi was Tasty and Presentation was on fleek. Service was good. Tried a few different rolls (California roll, valcano, Jalapeño, & Philly roll) Also had the raspberry tea & green tea. Everything was good to go

Used to live in Huntington Beach for many, many years and thought all the Sushi places in the I.E. were a joke, not fresh etc. Boy was I wrong we visited last Sunday and it was totally fresh and delicious. I’ve seen other reviews say yummy. Well let me say YUM! too. Ate outside on their patio on a beautiful day with a great waitress. Sometimes when you opt for patio seating the waitress will totally disappear. NOT HERE they actually pay attention to their customers. We will return and I can’t wait until the next time for another delicious Spanish Roll. We also had the Bento Boxes. I had the Chicken Teriyaki and my wife had the Beef Short Ribs. Nice hot Miso soup and everything was delicious. I posted a picture of our meal but should have posted an after picture because out plates and Bento boxes were empty: o) ALSO an FYI the weekday lunch specials are now on weekends too!
