Hit or miss how customer service will be. I’ve live in this area for 20 years and while this store is the closest I’m reminded most every time i go there why I don’t go regularly. This chip in the ATM card business WHERE I MUSTUSEMYPINCODEANDCANTUSECREDIT even though my card has a Visa/mc logo is bs. They are the ONLY place of business I’ve run into this problem with. I even called my bank and was told Ralph’s is trying to avoid paying merchant fees. I should have the choice to use credit or debit. And this is not for my safety. When I have people standing around me with phones and cameras everywhere somebody watching me enter a pin code that’s crazy. Not going to do it. Goodbye Ralph’s. I guess even for something small I’ll check on down to stater brothers or even better Whole Foods.

Don’t try to shop here during lunchtime M– Fr. I’ve left the deli counter at least a handful of times trying to get service during my lunch hour. Seems they are extremely short handed in that department. One guy working behind the counter seems to be always doing something other than helping customers. This store in general went downhill after the remodel. They got rid of all the staff that was there before the remodel except for a few.

This is a unprofessional ghetto of south OC grocery store. The are dirty over priced. selling spoiled fish and switch employees a lot. Seems as if they just have gotten a grouchy employee crowed of 50 yrs and up crowed. No energy. Rude

I used Ralph’s deli and bakery for my son’s birthday and it was perfect. 4 platters of sandwiches and 48 cupcakes and they were a huge hit and executed perfectly. For the price & the convenience, I’d definitely use them again!

This specific Ralph’s is much like all the other Ralph’s but they have more closed-door refrigerators for items that are normally placed in open-door refrigerators, like for ready-made bread dough. Barring frozen food, all of the clearance items are separated at the back of the store, as opposed to other Ralph’s locations we have been to, which sometimes put clearance items in with the good items. They are separated with a shopping cart and even the clearance yogurt has a mini-fridge to store it all! We pretty much raided it because there was so much clearance stuff that we could use. As of the time of this visit, there was someone advertising some type of service outside the door, which we had to avoid interacting with. They also have a water vending machine outside.

Won’t go here again expecially if I need any kind of customer service waited about 10 minutes for Rebecca to help me and then when she was done doing what she was doing she walked away and started helping somebody else… Thanks

Well I can’t believe I’m actually reviewing a grocery store, but here I am! This is my go to grocery store being so close to the house. It’s always clean and well stocked. Plus being a steak fanatic I love that they have Prime Rib Eye Steak! Big plus for me. I can get it cut as big as I like too! This location had a recent makeover, although it’s always nice, at first it sure makes it hard to find the things you usually buy, the good part is that when they first did their makeover, they had employees just walking around pointing you in the right direction. I really liked that. Great service! I always get a smile and people asking if they can be of service. Best part for me, they have the self check out area. Big big deal for me, I can run in, grab something and get out within minutes. Way convenient! I have never had a bad experience here and I’ve been coming here for years!

I felt rushed at the check out. Extremely fake remarks. I felt offended when they asked me to look back at the sale prices instead of offering to clarify the special. Even though it’s close to home I won’t be shopping here anymore.

I love shopping at Ralph’s, but there is one major problem. The deli. I go there almost every night to pick up a salad. There is always a line, and last night at 5PM, with 5 of us in line, only 1 person, ONE person, working. Two people left. It’s appalling. Between 4:30 and 7PM, people are coming in from work, tired, hungry, and in need of something quick. We don’t want to stand in line to wait because they’re understaffed.

Some of the check-out employees are extremely rude and arrogant. I just got fed up today with this woman, can’t remember her name, middle eastern looking, heavy make up, no smiling, it’s the third time she checks my stuff out and she throws my items in this irritated attitude, I said hello, she didn’t answer anything, I said thank you, she did not answer anything, I am there handing her my member card, she keeps me with my hand reaching out totally ignoring me, when I asked whether she needed that with a smile on my face trying to approach her politely and be nice, she grabbed it from my hand all nervous. Seriously? Are you doing me a favor, lady? I do not want to sound racist, I myself am an immigrant to this country, but I noticed that the nasty, rude ones are always those for whom English is not their first language. I think that maybe some customer respect training would be a good path to go, Ralphs store, otherwise we will get to feel like we are admitted in some Nazi camp when going grocery shopping. We do not need some third world country type of attitude when we step in your stores to spend our money. If this woman does not like her job, maybe she needs to find a more suitable one. Or maybe her management needs to explain to her that the customer pays her salary and the rude attitude is not appropriate. When I got home, one of my yogurt containers was broken and spilled in the bag, as I guess your employee was too upset with me entering the store and bothering her.

I randomly went to this Ralphs to pick up basics. But this time around, the cashier took the time to give me some kitchen tips and recommendations. I appreciate her kindness, only wish I could put her name in this post. Night Cashiers rock.

I am not one to give 5 star reviews often, but this market is fantastic. My review is specifically about the bakery department, but they are overall amazing here with their selection of natural and organic foods and their service. I ordered a cake for my daughter’s birthday party. I wanted something a little more custom than Costco, but for a similar price(not $ 100+ for a cake for a 2-year-old party and 40 – 50 guests!). I couldn’t believe the quality. My husband and I are pretty picky about our baked goods, and we were extremely impressed. They nailed it with my request, had it done on time, and kept apologizing because they were still decorating it when I showed up early(I thought it would have been done the night before). The quality was AMAZING! A few of my guest could not believe that it came from a grocery store. It was fresh, moist, the frosting tasted like it was made this morning(I make my own frosting for smaller cakes, so I know the difference). I honestly cannot says enough good things and, if they keep this quality up, they have lifetime loyalty from me.

I wouldn’t consider reviewing a grocery store, but seriously, this store has the best customer service I have ever experienced at ANY other supermarket. Another reviewer has it right– it has a very small town feel. It’s rare to pass an employee who says«hello, how are you? Are you finding everything OK?» when they’re clearly on their way somewhere else in the store. Every visit I feel they go above and beyond with their smiles, service and conversation. They actually make me laugh a lot which makes the hum-drum of grocery shopping turn into some fun and makes you feel a part of the community. One exceptional example of customer service: I pulled my cart into the checkout line and the cashier goes around to empty my cart for me. I say, «wow, is this something new?» He says«I certainly hope not– this is what we do when the store isn’t very busy!» This was a man in his 60s and I really didn’t expect him to do that work for me! I felt like a valued customer and this is just plain rare. Big fan of their mobile app, random coupons for FREE products and Shell gas station reward points accrual. It saves me so much $$$ over the year.

Im not the shopper in the household and to be honest I usually cant stand going into supermarkets. I popped in here on a Tuesday around 7:30pm and expected to hit a surge of afterwork shoppers. To my surprise(maybe a fluke) the store was pretty empty which made my short visit simple and painless. Don’t get me wrong shopping still sucks.

I think Ralph’s gets all the produce rejected by the other super markets. I was much less than impressed with the quality and selection of much of their produce. It’s just not warm and friendly walking into this store.

The sales manager was helping me at the customer service desk and he was being constantly approached for assistance by other customers, co-workers, subordinates, etc. This guy managed to keep his cool and provide a smile and help to everyone that came up to him. I was rather shocked. You don’t see that anymore. Kudos
