It’s a joke that they have egg souffles on their menu. Every time I have tried to order one they are out. Either offer to make them or take them off the menu. Either way it no longer matters to me as I will not go there anymore

Just came here today and I really love the place. Really great baked goods. Reasonable price. The place is pretty well organized and staff is friendly.

Great food. Excellent service. Husband and I worked all day out of this location while our RV was in the shop.(At a two person table. Be considerate when camping out, people!) Staff was very nice, checking on us occasionally but never rushing us. Wifi was excellent. The fire was super cozy after shuffling cars around in a cold November rain. Perfect for people working on the go. I recommend the mango tea!

I have been to this location several times, but the last two times have been dreadful. The second to last time, my order was wrong. This last time my buzzer went off, but my food was not ready and the workers did not know what my order was. When I got my order, my mac’n’ch cheese was cold. When I returned to ask for a new bowl, I was told I could warm up my current bowl in the microwave under the coffee pots. Needless to say, I was very disappointed.

The menu is getting a bit stale but the big problem here is the atrocious wi-fi service at this location. It says connected, but whenever you try to do anything online, your connection drops. Not just during rush hour either.

The morning staff is great! My favorite menu items are the soufflés. Tomato soup is great with the Fuji Apple chicken salad too.

Amazing customer service. The employees here, especially in the drive thru, have turned my horrible day into a great one multiple times. Yeah, that’s how good they are. Besides being crowded most of the time I have nothing but great things to say about this location.

I’ve left many«tips» saying how much I love the Rapid Order… also, many reviews saying how much I love the Lake St Louis Bread Co… Tonight was another example of why I love my local Bread Co so much! I went to pick up my kiddo from Baseball Practice in Chesterfield. Decided to «rapid order» their food to pick up on my way home in Lake St. Louis. Well, I guess the app automatically sent my order to the«nearest» Bread Co., which was in Chesterfield… I got to the Lake St. Louis location, only for my food to not be there. They help me realize my mistake, made my order right there on the spot, while there were other people in line waiting, and did not charge me… for my mistake! So, I say again, this Lake St. Louis location is top notch! I’m pretty sure Tia was the name of the manager or shift leader there that helped! Thanks guys! You’re the best! If you’re not«Rapid Ordering», you’re missing out!

Had a disappointing experience here today. The person taking my order was not very with it and wound up entering it wrong. Got my sandwich fixed only to reAlize it still didn’t have any condiments. Another employee interrupted my table’s conversation and shared way too much personal information. I now know what her bff is naming her baby! Soup selection is lacking, too.

Okay so I wonder if other people have had the same problems with getting the right items in their to-go orders through the drive thru?! Now every time I go through they have had someone initial the end of the recipe and check off that every thing is correct and in the bag! Nice job guys! I totally LOVE the food at bread co and I had to bump y’all up a star for that one! I don’t know if my review made any difference at all but, regardless, I’m happy to see that you are making some positive changes!

Several bad experiences here, today was the third strike. The past few times before today the staff was completely clueless how to slice and toast a bagel. This happened in back to back visits and my wife had to explain the process to the staff for them to get it right. First time, we were handed an over-toasted bagel sliced like a loaf of bread. The next time, the teenage employee was clearly not trained on how to use the slicing machine. I have an idea, use a knife. On second thought, do not put a knife near any of these clueless people. This resulted in a 10 minute wait for a toasted bagel! Today we decided to give it one last try and guess what, no bagel issues because they were completely OUTOFBAGELS!

Bread Co. is a great place. It’s not expensive and the vibe is excellent. It’s always nice and quite with nice open seating, large windows and a fire place which I really love especially when it’s cold or wet out. The food is decently priced and comes out extremely quick. I just wish it was all local food or at least fresh. Most of the items are microwaved :-(

This review is an indictment of the American educational system more so than a review of yet another bread co location. Why? Mainly because of the interaction I had with a member of the staff. She was very pleasant but absolutely clueless. They were not at all busy when I walked in and asked for a dozen bagels cut into quarters. I prefer this method of cutting up the bagels when I am taking them to a customer as a gift. Pretty simple, really — they are easier to snack on than bagels that are sliced. Lots of people will enjoy a quarter of a bagel who would pass on a half bagel. Slice them longitudinally and some get a top while others wind up with a bottom. This reminds me too much of the issue with the muffin stumps from that episode of Seinfeld… and I’m not interested in doing that to my customers. Quartered. How in the world could that be so difficult?!? She asked me for clarification so I mimed it on the counter — cut it like this then cut it like that… all while drawing on the counter with my finger. Nope — she didn’t get it and offered to put them through the slicer then cut them in half. I tried again but this time used one hand to demonstrate the bagel and the other to demonstrate the knife. Apparently that was still too much so she called her manager over to help her. The manager was able to figure out what I wanted without even asking a clarifying question. She cut the first one and showed it to her as an example. How in the hell could it have been that difficult to understand??? The only answer I have is an indictment of the American educational system.

My husband and I were debating between going to Jimmy Johns or Panera for dinner last night and we chose Panera. We got there to order our food and they were out of almost everything. We had to either sub our certain parts of the meal(the meat on the salad and the lettuce) or we had to completely change our order. They did not apologize, they did not offer any kind of coupon or anything for the inconvenience and the trash and dishes were over flowing. The store was not busy and the employees were just slowly walking around in a haze, including the manager. I really wish we would have gone to Jimmy Johns instead because the food and the service was not worth $ 20.00.

We eat here about once a week and typically the food is fresh and hot. However, on the last two visits the food has been below par. From brown over ripe avocados in the salad to cold soup. This place seems to be going downhill for some reason. We’ll give it one more shot but if there are issues again, we will no longer patronize this establishment.

So, bizzarre. I was sure that I had a review here. This is my ‘neighborhood’ Slo-Bro-Co. This morning, I dropped in at about 6 am. I needed a Bagel Pack and a box of Joe to go drop in on a client. Invariably, the St Louis Bread Co /Panera product garners a strong, favorable response from my clients — today was no exception. The shop does a superb job of putting together a complete breakfast bundle — cups, cup sleeves, napkins, cream, sugar, and a bagel storage baggie. Attention to this detail might sound trivial, but then again, it kinda’ stinks to show up with bagels, coffee, and to find that the client’s office doesn’t have the trimmings. But, more importantly, was the experience at the counter placing the order, and while waiting for the order to be put together. This morning, I was greeted by a pleasant counter assistant. Friendly and professional. She quickly asked the right questions, compiled my order, and then began delegating and working to get everything put together, quickly. While addressing my order she started ‘triaging’ the next customer in line. This is where it really got cool. She seemed to recognize this next guy, as she was asking questions reflecting familiarity. Then a third customer walked in, and this one she clearly knew. Within a couple of minutes, another clerk arrived and knew exactly what he was getting, started chatting him up fondly, and even put together a parfait that wasn’t typically on his ‘usual’ list but that she thought he’d like. All too often I read /hear people rant about the impersonal nature of chains and big corporations. But, I think they forget that the folks working behind the counter and managing the store, are not likely commuting in from Detroit, Chicago, NYC, or Beijing … they are local, too. And, low and behold, sometimes these corporate automatons [slaves to the 1% i. e those who own the shop from some far-off locale] actually want to do right by the customer; they actually take pride in their job and in the value proposition being offered. Granted, this isn’t always the case. The McDonalds next door has generally proven to be the counterpoint to my observation at St Louis Bread Co. But, then, I’ve landed at some pretty stinky«locally-owned», small shops, too. Labels suck, man. Caveat emptor, and sometimes Big Retail /Big Food isn’t so bad, after all.

STL Panera Bread is called St. Louis Bread Co. Like the others, the food is delicious and there are healthy options. Coffee is nice and always fresh. Breakfast and lunch menus have enough variety that there is something for everyone. And, they provide free wi-fi, for the business traveller, student, or well connected person on the go.

I lost my patience waiting in the drive through line for a loaf of sour dough bread. The car in front of me sat there for ten minutes. I went inside to yell and a nice lady named Debbie gave me a cookie, that cost more that the bread. It was nice of her to see that I left happy. The food here is fresh and every thing tastes very good. The food is not the problem. Parking is a very tight and there is never room to park so I avoid lunch and dinner and come at a odd hour when I want to eat. Two handy cap spots are always open. Hard to relax when you can’t find a parking spot.
