Thai Shokun

All the rolls were good and the pineapple saki was fantastic. Eat here and you’ll be happy.

Excellent sushi! Pad Thai noodles were excellent. We also tuna tartar it was fabulous! Looking forward to going back. They even have a happy hour from 4 – 6 Mon — Sat.

The food here is very fresh and delicious. The waitstaff is very accommodating, as well. I ordered Tom Kha Soup and it was really good! The portion was huge. (Twice the size of what I would have needed). I asked for spoons, so that my parents could try it and they brought bowls, too. Little things like that don’t go unnoticed and they are much appreciated!
I ordered Chicken Pad Thai and it was great! A very big portion, but not too big. I was able to finish it in one sitting. My only suggestion would be to not put raw bean sprouts on the dish for garnishing. I had to eat around them.
Also, the atmosphere is very calm here.
I’d definitely like to go back and try the other menu items!

food was good pad thai way too expensive though. Got take out… pad Thai was way too expensive they were nice place seemed clean. Will try again.

Nothing more to say other than best sushi I’ve ever had. It is always extremely fresh and they have tons of different kinds of rolls to choose from.

I’ve been coming here for years! Delicious noodles (best Pad Thai around) great curries, great soups and great sushi! Service needs some work though but overall great small place!

Ordered a few dishes and apps to share, chicken, pork dumplings, soups… entire family sick 24 hours after. Hating this place right now…

The atmosphere is amazing, and their plating and flavor of the food is amazing! I always take friends and family here from out of town to show them what an amazing local sushi gem we have with Thai Shokun. The staff is all very nice and friendly and makes great recommendations. I am addicted to the Ooba appetizer — simply incredible! They also made an AMAZING custom roll for my wife — ask for the Clara roll — it’s in their computer system, but an incredible off-​menu item.

Review is based on lunch. Ordered the Panang Curry at spice level 3 and it was awesome. I wanted a lot of heat, so this was not super hot for me, but it was indeed delicious. Also ordered the Tom Kha soup which was amazing and really large. The waiter was the best part — super friendly, attentive and quick with food. I love that they have a beautiful orchid blossom on top of the food. Soda comes in a can if you order one… did not matter to me. I thought that the restaurant was super clean and not chaotic or noisy which was a welcome relief considering I wanted a nice quiet place to relax. I recommend highly.

Not impressed with quality or taste or fish. Tiny pieces of sashimi with a not so tiny price.

Me and kelly was going to Chris Tavern for dinner. When we got there they had a huge wait. Kelly saw this place and said lets try it. So I looked it up on Unilocal of course and we read some reviews. It looks good so we went. I did my check in on Unilocal of course.
Now I did learn something, When you do a check in the owner gets an alert that you are there. Cause at the end of our dinner the owner said to me «that he saw me on my phone and asked are you mike s from Unilocal» I said yes I am, I’m not hiding anything. He showed me his phone it said mike s has checked in. Now before some people get worried it didn’t show my pic. But I wouldn’t care if it did.
Now onto the food. OMG it really was excellent. I had the cali roll and kelly had beef pad thi. There is no question if they make it fresh to order. They differently do. We placed your order and had it on our table in about 20 mins.
They asked kelly how spicy hot do you want it on a scale of 1 – 5. She got a 3 fyi 3 is very hot there. lol On mine they had a side of soy sauce and wasabi it’s home made. This is not the same stuff you can buy at publix. I put a little chunk of on one of my rolls and found out. Don’t get me wrong it was great but wow hot. So go easy on it at first.
The place is small but they keep it very clean. That is very important to us. The service was also very good. We will go back again for sure.

My sister and I used the Unilocal coupon for a free appetizer from the kitchen app. area ($ 6 and under) so we opted for edamame. Read the print, folks, it clearly states which area you can order from on the menu. ;)
The sushi was fantastic and came out pretty quickly. The waiter kept our hot green tea coming and even made it stronger for us, since he realized we were green tea lovers!
Even though we were so close to being full, we ordered another round of miso soups to end our meal.
Loved the modern, hip décor and the fun, house EDM music that played at a nice volume level throughout the restaurant. Definitely a good place for sushi, albeit the prices are slightly higher than what I’m used to paying.

Based on the Unilocal reviews I was excited to try this restaurant. My standards are Tom Yum Goon (shrimp) and Basil Garlic Chicken. The soup was okay lacking depth and in my opinion cilantro. The entrée was bland-​a first for Thai food that I’ve had. The «brown sauce» was not spiced at all! On the bright side the service was very good. One last note: the Unilocal coupon for $ 6 is only good for appetizers not soup. After explaining this the waiter did offer to get me an appetizer to take home

I never cease to be amazed at how what appears to be a nondescript eatery in a strip mall can transport you the second you go inside. This is the case with Thai Shokun. The modern, hip décor and young staff is not what you expect by looking at the outside.
The service is great, the food fabulous, tasty and generous portions. Can’t wait to go back!

I ordered pad Thai to go one day and really did not enjoy it. I never went back again until recently I decide to give it another try. Thankfully I did because it was great! The sushi rolls and appetizer were really good.
Definitely coming back here again.

Food, service and ambiance — !! 5 stars hands down! Hubby and I came in on a Friday evening and the place was pretty packed. We were greeted and seated promptly. A few minutes later our server came in to introduce himself and took our drink order. Since we were undecided, he introduced us to a new cold sake with jelly. I’m glad he did because it was delicious! I don’t know any other sushi places that serve that! I ordered something off the menu and they gladly accommodated my request. Food was fresh and delicious. Will def be back!!!

The food is absolutely delicious, different and unique dishes of sushi and Thai. Their sashimi is fresh, presentation is beautiful and nicely done. The service is wonderful and friendly. I would definitely recommend this place.

I really love this place have been here a couple times with all types of different people and every time I come back there is something more delicious than the last time. My favorite things on the menu are they’re awesome rolls. They are unique and delicious. Don’t skip this place. I’m glad I found it

We love love love this hidden gem! We’ve been many times. The staff is amazing and very attentive. The thunder roll is delicious as is everything we order. Highly recommended!
