This place Is absolutely terrible! I ordered food from work and had one of my coworkers pick it up for me. When my coworker got back with my food the order was completely wrong. I called Cibo and explained to them that my order was wrong and they told me that it was impossible. They blamed us for picking up the wrong order and kept arguing with me about my order. I told them that I will be over to the shop to return the food and I wanted my money back and did not want to do business with the. They told me, «good! I would prefer you to just return the food. The manager was extremely rude when I went into the store to get my refund and take my food back. I should have known what type of place it was when there was 1 car in the parking lot. A successful business would have a good lunch crowd. I used to eat at cibo frequently since it is close to my work and they make great salads. After this experience I will never eat there again nor will I ever refer anyone to go there. This establishment needs to learn customer service skills.

Placed a to-go order on a friday night. Ordered from the restaurant, and enjoyed a Troegs draft while I waited. Staff was kind, courteous, amd prompt. Prices were low and quality was average, resulting in moderate value. Restrooms were fresh and clean. both ladies and men. Atmosphere was family oriented, with tables and booths based on size and needs of your group. Dinning room and easily accomidate groups of up to 30. It is loud inside, with phones ringing, conversations, and tv audio playing. This is not the place for your quiet dinning experience. The draught beer was seeved in a frosted pint glass. Pizza was delicious. Crust was crispy on the bottom and had a good chew. Toppings were typical. Overall, I can see no reason not to recommend this establishment as a top pizza choice for Lancaster pizza!

Stopped by for a few slices and beers. I thought the slices were real good. The pizza here was better than Alley Katz. I definitely will come the next time I am in the area.

Place is just fine now and comparable to any other pizza place. Specialty slices are quite creative and very good. Nice beer selection for both to go and on tap. I go there weekly and service has always been polite and quick enough.

Well all the previous reviews changed my mind about even trying it. Thank you For not making me waste my time. I value good customer service.

My friend has since acknowledged that she was mistaken about the credit card minimum change, however, I believe it was more the abhorrent attitude from the staff that was the bigger problem. Had they had a bit more gracious attitude, she may have been convinced to purchase more or buy a gift card or something. Customer service is key.

Stopped in for dinner. Was a little nervous based on other reviews. The pizza by the slice looked nasty, and almost walked out. Glad we didn’t. We got two cheesesteaks, a mini boli and an Italian Stromboli. It was all very reasonably priced, and very good. The cheesesteaks were tasty, fries were good, the Stromboli was excellent. They provide cups of water when asked, and their beer is reasonable. All told we would eat here again anytime.

It used to be a Turkey Hill store and it still has that ugly standard shape. My best friend was hungry while were hanging out and said she was in the mood for Cibo’s pizza which she told me, «the best». I was in the mood for pizza, so I decided to give it a try. We were approaching the place and it was dimly lighted outside, making it look like it was closed. As we walked in I scoped the place out. It was actually a lot nicer then standard pizza joints you’d find in Lancaster such as House of Pizza in the city. The counter area where the pizzas were displayed was clean and very presentable. They had many pizzas ready to be reheated(probably because it’s Monday night football). They had the standard choices, cheese and pepperoni. Though what impressed me and got my attention was the surplus variaties you’d find on those beach boardwalks and more! I contemplated between a slice of spinach and tomato pizza or mozzarella and tomato topped one. They also had several other options such as mini-stomboli’s which probably would taste pretty good. Well back to my actual slice of pizza I chose. I chose the spinach and tomato pizza. I was surprised by the taste of it. The tomato was diced and definitely fresh and maybe even homegrown! The spinach was good too; it wasn’t uncooked or too soggy. The cheese was good; not the type you’d get on cheap cafeteria pizza that tastes and feels like rubber. Towards the last few bites of it I realized that it was a sauce-less pizza(lol). There actually was ricotta cheese layered beneath the standard pizza cheese. The dough of the pizza was pretty good; nice and had a great baked crunch. The crust wasn’t that great, but that’s how I feel about all pizza crust. They also have 2 large flatscreens if you want to watch games. They had plenty of beer to choose from and unlimited soda refills. They had dessert in their fridges you could buy too. The servers are pretty nice also. The guy who served me and my friend stopped in the middle of whatever he was doing just to hand us our food instead of making us pick it up from the counter. I’d go here a lot more often when I’m home from college breaks.

First of all, I do have to say that this is the second time I visited Cibo. I am going to break this down into a few areas because I think it is only fair. Food: I like the food. I have not been disappointed. It is a pizza/sandwich shop and that is what you get. The portions for the Cheeseburger Sub and Fries was great, the flavor of the burgers was good, and if it was the food alone that was the deciding factors, I would say, go and enjoy yourself, although you may want to make it take out. Atmosphere: Both times I have been in there, it is pretty clear that the tables aren’t wiped off between customers. Not that I am a sissy about it, I know these kind of places get busy, but when there are not many people in there, I am surprised that more that one table I saw had some left over grease etc on the table tops. Also some of the areas of the restaurant seem a little cluttered. Price: No issue with price, again reference the fact that it is a pizza/sandwich shop. Issue: This may sound petty, but it goes along with customer service. I am personally trying to cut corners where I can and I try to stick to water when I go out to eat because it is cheaper and ultimately better for me. That being said, paying for a bottle of water defeats that purpose. I don’t mind fountain/tap water with ice so I will typically just ask for ice water in a cup. Now knowing what I know about businesses, I know that cup is not free for them, so when I occasionally get a 25 or 50 cent charge for a cup, I am fine with that because it is still cheaper than what I would pay for other drinks. Cibo doesn’t even give you that option. From the guy behind the counter, he said that they don’t really do that, they only sell bottled water. Now there might be a good reason for this, maybe there is a problem with their water or whatever, but I would be willing to bet that the reason is revenue and not an issue. I know it sounds petty… I do, but I am all about the service and when a company can’t give a cheap or free cup of ice water when we drop some funds their way for food, well it is just a bit disappointing. So that’s the review. If it were food alone that I looked at or if I had been doing takeout I prob wouldn’t care as much, but hey, I feel it is my duty to report when you can’t get a free or cheap cup of ice. Thanks

This place is really not very good at all, but since it is close to work I keep finding myself going back in and I keep getting disappointed. Never order a Stromboli, it if filled with greasy cheese that is just overloaded like more is always better. I end up with a pile of solidified cheese on my plate. the cheese to sauce and crust ratio is way off. The slices are ok but overall I would say stay away.

DATE: 04/28/2010 ATMOSPHERE: Standard pizza-joint fare with 3 tvs constantly displaying news and sports. PROS: Good food at a decent price… fries are yummy as is the spaghetti pizza. Several vegetarian sandwich, salad, and pizza options. Fast, convenient, and friendly. CONS: Regular cheese pizza is WAY too salty, almost bordering on inedible, even more so than House of Pizza downtown. WILL I GOBACK: Yes.

Service is poor. You would swear they don’t want you to eat there. The food is good but inconsistant. The cheese steaks are not good. If I was going to rate them on their cheese steaks they would get a single star. That bad. Selection of slices and salads are very good. Overall a decent place for lunch.

I’ve gone about 3 times. Pizza is consistently quite good for Lancaster, though I go for the simpler fare. Take out, call ahead, is the way to go — they do a lot on the menu so the wait for dining-in can be on the longer side but a great value overall.

Ive gone in here several times since they opened and found the food to be pretty decent. What costs them stars is how long you have to wait until you get your food. I had ordered a sandwich each time I went in. Most places whip them up pretty quick, but 20 minutes later Im still waiting. People fly in and fly out while I wait for my cheese sub. Come on! Its cheese, lettuce, tomato and mayo. How long can it take? To top it off, the staff expresses no regrets about the time it takes. In fact they are kind of callous. Not the typical pizza shop rudeness either. Im talking walmart cashier rude. *rolls eyes + sigh* «can I help you?» I wont be going here anymore.
