Golden Rainbow

Thanks to Misti Y., my friend Susan and I were able to attend Golden Rainbow’s Ribbon of Life 25^th anniversary show, benefiting HIV/​AIDS research and patients! Unilocal is a proud sponsor! It was like 15 shows in one! With performers from all over the strip, dancers from UNLV, and other great Vegas acts, the show was a never-​ending entertainment extravaganza!
This year’s theme was Broadway and Hollywood, and lots of great performances included Gershwin, West Side Story, Cabaret… George Wallace was hilarious and we each got 2 free tickets to one of his shows!
Every guest received a boa when we entered the Paris Theatre. Misti Y. really hooked it up because we were on the 7^th row center orchestra with amazing seats and performers running up and down the aisles right next to us!
For someone who hasn’t seen a show in four years, I «made it up» with all of the exciting music numbers, skits, comedy, dance numbers, and emcee banter. The costumes dazzled and the theatre was a great venue, a new experience for me in Vegas.
Next year’s show is June 24^th at the new Smith Center!

This years’s Ribbon of Life performance for the Golden Rainbow Foundation was held for the second year at the Las Vegas Hilton on June 13, 2010. Again, the program was a variety of acts from shows on the Strip. This is a fantastic event. 85% of the Golden Rainbow’s budget is gotten from ticket sales for this show. Try in next June. You’ll love it!
