I ripped my Achilles Tendon while working on a construction site and a few weeks later I saw Dr. Raissi who told me «You will never walk correctly again for the rest of your life or I have an opening for surgery this Tuesday morning. What do you want to do?» My mouth dropped, eyes opened wide, tears streamed down my face in shock at his abrupt and disturbing comment and question. I reluctantly agreed to surgery. In hindsight, I should have sought a 2nd opinion from another reputable orthopaedic surgeon. Early morning 10/21/2014, I arrived at Institute of Orthopaedic Surgery and checked in at the front desk. Within 15 minutes I was called into the back to change my clothes into a gown. Next I was given an IV and sedated. I awoke groggy and clothed with my leg wrapped like a mummy in heavy bandages from the knee to my toes. A little while later a friend of mine arrived to sign me out and take me home. Now 14 months later I am reviewing this regretful day at 2800 E. Desert Inn Road. Unfortunately, I do not recommend Dr. Raissi for surgery as I am now permanently disabled with nerve damage following surgery he performed at Institute of Orthopaedic Surgery on 10/21/2014. 1 Star earned for his sweet talking urgent need sales pitch to get in right away, so he can get paid fast, and continue to funnel patient$ from Workers Compensation Claim injuries.
