As a father of 4 teenage boys, I have failed to stay on top of my own health as time has passed. I have dreaded the idea of how much work was going to be required to get me back up to speed, and as a result, continued to delay the inevitable. I finally reached out to the team at Red Rock to get some sort of process started. Not only were they fast to get me in to take a closer look, but Dr. Curry Leavitt mellowed out my stress and anxiety level immediately by taking the time to talk through everything with me. Within 3 days of my initial visit, my first procedure had been scheduled and completed successfully. This team is professional, efficient, and feels like a family with how well everyone works together. The technology that they utilize feels very modern and current as well. Most of all though they have brought me some peace of mind by helping me get things back on track :)

I have to say that I am a true scaredy cat when it comes to going to the dentist. In my past I had many horrible experiences with perio and reg dentist with pain and suffering. I was referred to Dr Leavitt by Dr Suarez from signature smiles. My first thought was Omgosh I’m in trouble. From the first moment I walked into this office and met the staff I was immediately relaxed. The staff was wonderful. Then I met with Dr leavitt and he truly listened to my concerns and my fears. I had an emergency molar extraction and then a 3 tooth bridge removal with 2root canals that had gone bad and needed to be extracted. I had no pain from the beginning of the procedure to the end. My pain after was mild and tolerable. My dental path goes between these two drs and I ABSO love them both! The drs and staff work hand in hand with each other to insure you are a priority And I thank them all from the bottom of my heart!!!

The best part about this place is Paul, the scheduler. It’s a nice place inside and out. Easy scheduling. But I ran into trouble after my gum graft had been done and had an emergent situation that needed tending to by Dr. Leavitt. To my understanding, gum grafting is a procedure that can require emergency, on call care, as most doctors offices’ naturally offer. I first noticed a problem with the graft when I began to notice a horrible taste and smell coming from the graft, plus a change in color from red to white. I went in immediately(on a Tuesday) and Dr. Leavitt told me that nothing was wrong and I should come back next week.(The graft was already dead and he was likely hoping it would somehow still«take”– i later got a second opinion on how it would’ve been handled had i come to the other perio with the same complaints and presenting the same white tissue — they said they would have scraped off the dead tissue at that moment but I was told to «come back» and that it was«normal.») By that Saturday I knew there was a huge problem with the graft, so I began calling Dr. Leavitt’s «emergency line»… For 12 hours straight… on a Saturday… Beginning at 7am. No response until finally the 12th hour; the graft hadn’t taken and left greenish white, dead necrotic rotting gum tissue hanging in my mouth where the graft had been, that smelled and tasted literally like decaying human flesh, as that’s what it was! Underneath was the open wound, the graft site, that was now uncovered in my mouth. The dead graft that was still Literally hanging by a stitch in my mouth was pulling on the graft tissue that had actually«taken» on the other tooth and was making it bleed. Of Course, this is enough to generate concern. I couldn’t eat, I could barely talk, and if you saw pictures of what was in my mouth you’d be absolutely disgusted. It smelled and tasted so bad I didn’t even want to talk to my children. It was absolutely disgusting, probably as one would imagine whitish green dead human flesh to be. Anyway, after calling all day, I was informed Dr. Leavitt was«away» and simply told me to make an appointment for Monday. Overnight the situation got worse. More blood, more pain, more pulling… Again I began calling Dr. Leavitt’s «emergency line»(which is a total joke) and again waited the entire day for even a call back! By that time I had called multiple other periodontal emergency lines and no one would see me because I was not already an «established patient». I considered going to the ER but I knew I was not«dying» and even more so that they would not have a periodontist on call to take care of a periodontal matter. Long story short, I’m gonna have to have the graft done again. That’s not even what I’m upset about the most. I thought it was SOSOSO unprofessional of the office not to have better«emergency» care. This was my third gum graft(which I got from a different periodontist) and I’ve NEVER been dissatisfied with any aspect of care until I went here . Oh and I also need to mention that instead of offering ways to fix the graft, the doctor sat on the phone with me and blamed me for it going wrong. Again, unprofessional!!! Even if what he said were true(which it was not), what kind of doctor plays the Blame Game with a patient? I am paying a new periodontist to do the work over. I don’t trust Dr. Leavitt’s care or competency. Also, the new perio I consulted with and the staff were appalled when I showed pictures and explained the«emergency care» I was given by Dr. Leavitt. Horrible mistake. Rude, arrogant.

this perio is excellent and uses up to date techniques. i needed tons of perio work: entire lower jaw gum grafts, shaving down both sides of upper teeth from receeding gum lines, plus, a dental implant in the back molar. they really work with my insurance and tried to be flexible with scheduling procedures around my 9 – 5 work days. i highly recommend this doctor.
