Dear Las Vegas Airport Authority: Rubys is your best foot forward? Bar tender warned me at least about the cook. Save your money and avoid.

This diner is the first restaurant you see as you step off of the escalator so the foot traffic is there. Maybe I should have checked around more. Upon entering, it is a cute diner. You walk up to the«Order Here» area and order your items. The ordering process is very easy — limited menu. Then you are given a number and when the order is ready, a food runner will bring it to you. I had ordered the French Toast. I figure I really can’t go wrong. I was able to obtain a small table against the wall of windows. You have a great view of the tarmac. My order was brought to me within 10 minutes. The French Toast was okay. It didn’t seem like the toast was cooked all the way through. I would concern another restaurant in the future.

Best place to lose weight from diarrhea. Make sure you have a 30 min before boarding. I think it’s the Cajun fries because my toilet looked like the Red Sea.

Barely diner quality food with servers that lack friendliness. This place wouldn’t survive if it wasn’t at the airport with captive customers. The hash browns are like you are eating chiclets of cardboard. See picture. They do crank out the food fast but it’s diner food. It’s fast by design. It was clean and not crowded with plenty of tables and counter seats. Keep walking there are better restaurants down the concourse.

Really it’s a 0 star diner. My burger wasn’t good bun was cold and I guess combo to them does not include a drink. They do not serve in order of orders where taken. Lady said they serve in random order. Huh!!! Ridiculous this place is a joke and over priced.

Breakfast sandwich is fine, once you scrape off the ¼c. Flour one the bottom. Service was fast, which is good when you’re trying to make a plane. Almost $ 9 for a breakfast sandwich is high, but as I said, it’s passable once you scrape off the flour.

It takes a long time to get your food. Burgers are so so. If you like 50’s sock hop music then this place is for you.

Cinnamon Roll French Toast. I was going to drop the Mike and end my review there, but I will keep typing. That French toast is gooood. It’s a cinnamon roll sliced into three slabs, battered and fried. So good! It’s all I’ve gotten there. It’s all I’ll continue to get. You should get it too.

If you come here knowing what to expect you’ll be a bit surprised. Remember it is a airport dining shop. Knowing that i got a adequate cooked cheeseburger with crispy fries and a great root beer float. Big ice cream scoop in a nice root beer. The burger was filling and it helped me pass the time waiting for my flight and provided me a nice filled tummy for my overnight flight. If you keep those tips in mind you’ll be satisfied.

Had the mushroom burger and Cajun fries. The buns were cold and cheese barely melted. The Cajun fries is not worth paying an extra dollar. Would not come back again.

KEEPWALKINGPASTTHISPLACE! If you think your going get food at the airport forget it worst choice ever, long waits, cold and foods expensive… claims to be a fifties diner to justify its $ 20 burger/fries. I wasn’t the only person standing around confused by the complete cluster fuck service. A guy who sat down 10 minutes after I did, got his food and ate it and left before I got my food… wait time 25 – 30 minutes?! The Cold burger and fries sat in the window and were completely disgusting. They pretty much know your not coming back so you really have no choice as you wait for your food and your flight. One guy complained waited five minutes and got up and left. I even asked for my money back which they couldn’t do… the place reminds me of a slum lord apartment land lord who doesn’t care. ZERO Stars for this shit hole, place

I had time on my hands and was really looking forward to a good breakfast. I ordered the egg sandwich and found a seat. Nice enough place, old diner atmosphere. Unfortunately, the sandwich was less than satisfactory. The egg, bacon and cheese had obviously been premade as they were cold(the cheese had not even melted a bit). The muffin had gone through about ½ a toaster cycle and was warm but not toasted. I would have been much better off at burger king(near gate D4) or the other place that was near BK. Not my worst meal but I’ve experienced(much) better.

I thought the meal was a little over priced, but as they say or maybe it’s just me… maybe I just say welcome to Vegas! Anyway we got two cheeseburgers, a basket of fries because fries are not included, two waters and a soda for about $ 45. YIKES I don’t really think the burger was so dang delicious it was worth the price, but it wasn’t good. They never asked how I wanted my burger cooked. I would have requested rare.(I like my burger to moo haha) Oh well though, I still think that if stuck in the airport and hungry for a burger I would choose Ruby’s over burger king that’s for sure. The lady that brought us our food and cleaned up after us was so sweet.

Terrible Experience. The chicken sandwich was dry and inedible. The employees could care less about there jobs and accidentally overcharged us because she was not paying attention. I had the turkey sandwich which was covered in white flour and then the dust got on my face and hands. The average price is about ten dollars or so. It’s overpriced and disgusting. The ketchup was watery and had a foul taste to it. The fries soggy and burnt. Really? Why serve food to other humans that would not be fit for your own consumption. I wouldn’t even give a dog this mess. Avoid this place at all costs!

There’s absolutely nothing special about the experience here, whether the lackluster burgers or the kitschy décor that tries to recall diner folklore of yore. The servers are courteous enough, but I’m sad to say that at a place like this, which isn’t much of a step up from a self-service fast-food joint, they’re also dressed in dated attire and pretty much irrelevant. Sort of like the whole Ruby’s concept in itself. About the only redeeming qualities of this outlet are that there’s always room to spread out because it’s never crowded here, and that it’s centrally located within its terminal.

I was heading home from Las Vegas yesterday and had lunch at Ruby’s Dinette at the airport. You order at the counter, are given a number and then you sit down. Servers(mostly older women) who are dressed in old-school diner outfits deliver your food to you. I ordered the Rubyburger combo and a chocolate milkshake(it seemed like the kind of place to have one). It’s been a while since I’ve had a milkshake … it was good! The burger was good too.

We fly United frequently which leaves from Terminal D. Initially we were in the adjacent Starbucks line thinking we will get an artisan breakfast sandwich until we noticed no oven. No oven, no sandwiches. We popped over to Ruby’s which we’ve eaten at over the years, but never breakfast. I’m still thinking breakfast sandwiches on my mind. Lo and behold, Ruby offers two. I get the scrambled egg, bacon, cheese on an English muffin with a cup of coffee. Ordered, paid, given a number, found a table and waited for the food. Breakfast sandwich was good, the coffee not so good. Better to buy coffee from adjacent Starbucks.

Ruby’s Dinette provided a good, fast meal for us as we passed through the airport terminal and hopped in the car. It was surprisingly fresh and served in healthy portions. My BLT was a huge sandwich with lots of crispy, greasy bacon and Parmesan crusted bread. I didn’t like how unripe the tomato slices were but they were thick and the lettuce green and fresh. Our breaded zucchini was crispy and not overly greasy. For what we expected this food wasn’t bad, the portions were good, and the prices reasonable for the airport.

While at McCarren Airport in Las Vegas waiting for our flight, we needed a quick bite. Since flights don’t serve meals any more… I ordered their version of a club sandwich. My only complaint was the soft bun they served it on. The turkey breast was fresh, the bacon crisp, there was fresh avocado, lettuce and tomato. It was quite large and I could only eat about ½ of it, so we took the rest home with us. Ruby’s is decorated like an old 1950s diner. It’s cute. The service is not so good, they aren’t very friendly and are terse, but I chalk that up to this being in airport more than anything else. Otherwise, it was okay.
