We ate at Sushi Roku at an off-time around 2 pm, and the restaurant was not very crowded. Much of the seating in Sushi Roku offers excellent Strip views which is a definite plus. We were originally going to be sat at a booth/table close to another couple, but asked to be sat at a separate table for a bit more privacy. The hostess got very huffy and irritated when we made this request, so our dining experience did not begin well.
The server was efficient, but not overly-friendly. We ordered edamame, miso soup, and several sushi rolls(Katana, spicy tuna, California, and toro & jalapeño). The food was good, but overpriced, and the quality/taste wasn’t heads and tails above more economical sushi restaurants. Of course, you’re on the Strip, not to mention paying for a Strip view, so the high price is to be expected. All in all, if you’re looking for a sushi restaurant with a Strip view, Sushi Roku is not a bad bet. For me, however, there are several other«Strip view» restaurants that I prefer over Sushi Roku, so I can’t say I’ll be eating here often.

Fine establishment! The food was delicious and prepared perfectly. We had various sushi plates, amazing rib eye, perfectly cooked fried rice, finished with mochi ice cream and donut holes.

Ordered $ 35 executive Bento box, food is well prepared with quality ingredients, I won’t say it is a bargain as lunch special but I am not disappointed either.

While shopping in the Forum we happened to go up to the 3rd floor and found Sushi Roku. Both times I have been here has been in between lunch and dinner, so it has been quiet and practically have the place to ourselves. Service has always been fast, friendly and thorough. Everything I have had here has been amazing. One of my favorite things is their kimchee cucumber appetizer. This is the best«pickle» I have ever had. This is so delicious and it takes them 4 days to make it and it is worth it!!! Two other of my favs are the Unagi and the Korean Pork Belly Fried Rice. Unagi is cooked perfectly and is so delicate it melts in your mouth. The Pork Belly Fried Rice is not only a beautiful dish to look at, but it tastes amazing. There is a good sized portion of pork belly and the poached egg is really the cherry on the top. For you Saki drinkers, they have an extensive list to choose from. This has become a must visit restaurant every time I’m in Vegas. Definitely worth finding the elusive 3rd floor in the Forum Shopping Mall

I have been to Sushi Roku twice and had an ok experience each time. I sat in the front area on one of my trips, which felt like I was paying high pries to eat sushi in a mall(because basically, that’s what I was doing). If possible, asked to be seated in the back area. The setting is dark and romantic, and the windows showcase a spectacular view of the city. On a scale from 1 – 5, I would rate the sushi here a 3.5. Fairly middle of the road with a few nice surprises. I eat mostly raw rolls, and their menu has a lot of cooked rolls on it, which they were willing to modify for me, but the menu selection was quite small. If you are debating between Nobu and Suski Roku for sushi, let this place be the winner. Overall, not a bad place to visit, but if I come back to Vegas, I will likely check out a new place for sushi.

If I were to rate Roku on the quality of the food, it would be much higher. However, they not only have a very limited sushi menu, but it is also OUTRAGEOUSLY overpriced while at the same time offering tiny portions. I won’t be back.

Good sushi but pretty pricey! I had a dynamite roll that was not bad. I believe it was $ 14 for 8 small pieces. I guess you’re paying for Vegas prices.

We had reservations for New Year’s Eve on our first visit to Las Vegas. There was a $ 160/each omakase but we decided to order a la carte since it was way more food than we would want. The first warning sign should have been that the restaurant is located in a mall, and the second that it is on the strip in Las Vegas. The food was just ok but the prices astronomical. For what we paid for the entire meal we could eat twice at the best sushi restaurant in Atlanta(which blows this place away). Most annoying was the«Tofu 3 Ways»… It was 6 slabs of raw tofu taken directly from the package with 3 «ingredients» sprinkled on top. I think one was caviar, one maybe scallions and I don’t recall the third(it was that forgettable). Really a 6 year old could assemble this dish with minimal adult assistance. The shrimp tempura roll was fine but nothing special and small compared to what would be found at the average sushi restaurant. The tuna carpaccio was good(for $ 26) but overpriced for what it was. The seaweed salad was good and we also really enjoyed the king crab fried rice but beware that it does have some sort of hidden pork not disclosed on the menu. Finally, while trying to enjoy a relaxing evening out, it’s kind of difficult when the waiter is jacked up on something, and running around like a maniac. Really, as we dined at this place, I came to realize the reality of Las Vegas, shiny and glitzy on the outside, but in reality built to draw in suckers. However that’s another review for another time. Not recommended.

This is my favorite restaurant in Vegas. The food and staff were amazing. I highly recommend to order the foie gras wrapped in yellowtail in truffle, everything from the menu you can’t go strong.

I did this review for another restaurant but can’t delete the stars. I didn’t eat at this restaurant. Just deleted my comment… can’t delete stars or the posting. Sorry!

Sushi Roku is kind of hidden since its on the third floor of the Forum Shops. Few people have told me that this place was pretty good, so I knew it existed. However, we never actually dined here until recently. Came here on a Saturday night, but the restaurant was empty. There were a few people sitting at the sushi bar and maybe 3 other tables that were occupied. We started off with three of their Signature Rolls — the Crunchy Spicy Tuna, Crab Dynamite and the Baked Lobster. My husband and I liked the Baked Lobster one the best. They put a creamy Miso sauce on top of the roll which was good, but if it had a stronger Miso flavor, it would have been perfect! There was nothing special about the other two that we ordered. They were basically your standard Spicy Tuna and California Rolls that can be found at any sushi restaurant. We also ordered the Popcorn Shrimp Tempura. Kind of hard to screw up Shrimp Tempura, but it was tasty with the sauce. My only complaint is that maybe they should consider having the spicy creamy sauce on the side because after a while, the shrimp seemed sort of soggy. Service was excellent. Our server was friendly and checked on us often. Our drinks were always being refilled and empty plates were taken away quickly. I’m glad I tried Sushi Roku, but there was nothing special about this place that makes me want to come back. I think they need more selections for their signature rolls. I’m a snob when it comes to sushi, so I already have my favorite sushi spot! But for a $ 100 bill for 2 people, there are definitely better places to eat sushi.

Great place for sushi and ramen on the strip. You can shop at the Forum and then do dinner. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is hip and clean. Now considering it is on the Strip, there are tourists who can act like tourists. We saw a group yelling«saki bomb» and then made a mess, which the servers had to clean. I was embarrassed for them. I understand it is the Strip and would not hold it against this place. For us, the servers were friendly and helpful. My husband who does not do sushi, enjoyed other their tempura. This place has something for everyone.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Vegas. I love the chic atmosphere, the fresh sushi, and the great views of the Strip. Wonderful spot to people-watch. Tip: The $ 19 lunch specials are an excellent value.

This place is located at Cesar’s forum shops. It is a really cute small space with modern décor. I went there for happy hour with a friend and they have a decent menu. We were greated right away and sat at the bar because we wanted happy hour. There were hot and cold appetizers, sushi, sashimi and desserts to chose from. Wine and cocktails were 5 dollars i believe. We ordered the spicy scallop role, the spicy tuna roll, the calamari and the albacore sashimi. Everything was really good. My favorite was the albacore. It came with crunchy onion bits and they gave you really decent size pieces for 5 dollars. The fish was tender, fresh and delicious. The calimari was good too. Squid was really small so it was a little over-fried. I wanted more of a chewy texture. Came with a sweet plum sauce to dip. The rolls were really good too. I really liked the spicy tuna. The bartender told us to order it with rice paper because she likes it so much better and we did. It was alright. and we got charged a dollar extra for it. But the fish was good and their sauce was more than just sriracha. I also liked the spicy scallop roll but it was not as fresh as I hoped it to be. A little too much mayo in it too. Drinks were good as well. We ordered wines and they have good house selections for the price. I would definitely come back for happy hour and for their regular menu. Place is not crowded at all so it will be quite easy to get a table if you don’t go at a prime hour. Can’t wait to visit again!

This is probably the best sushi I’ve eaten in quite some time. The fish was very fresh and reasonably priced. I had the chef’s sushi lunch special, the seaweed salad and the Pinot Grigio. The décor was really nice too. The service was a little slow, but overall it was a great meal.

— Solid edamame — Squid sunomono was delicious. Tangy, crisp, and the squid was perfect — The shishito peppers were ok. Not crisp enough and the sauce was a touch too strong — The sushi was all very nice — The saba was strong — The kampachi was probably the best I’ve ever had(firm, but not too firm and borderline buttery) — The ocean trout was much different than I’ve had before. Usually it’s a little strong. Sushi Roku’s was smooth. I liked it — The oh-toro was amazing, as it should be. The bacon of the sea — My only quibble is that the portions were a smidge too small, even for a higher end place — Service was solid — Loads of gluten-free options/substitutes

We arrived a little before they opened at noon and sat outside the restaurant, inside the mall, for a bit. We were signaled when it was officially open. The waiter took our drink order and asked if we wanted to order edamame while we looked at the menu– loved that! I always forget. We got salmon and tuna sashimi and two tolls. The shrimp roll with salmon and the eel. Despite dining in a dessert, the sushi was fresh and delicious. Tables along the wall gave one person a view outside of the strip. It was conveniently located in the Forum shops. I would come here again.

This restaurant provides a great view of the strip. The atmosphere is hip and modern. The fish is fresh and very tasty. Most of their dishes are unique and very appealing. You can tell they put a lot of effort into small details. The sushi is very good. You can taste the quality and freshness of the food. They recommend to not use soy sauce as every sushi piece has it’s own flavors. The service is unfortunately slow. Just to give you an idea our appetizer were delivered before our drinks! We had to wait about 15 – 20 to get our drink. Overall a good place to get good sushi, just be prepared for a larger bill as you need to get several dishes to get full!

Nothing thrilled us. Either we are terribly unlucky, or we really didn’t order anything right that night. Here are the issues I have with this place: 1. The ambiance is dark and when I say dark, I mean I can’t see my date’s face let alone see anything on my table 2. The menu is short, not too much creativity here 3. I don’t care if we have to pay a Vegas tourist premium, just give us quality food and a memorable experience — yet they failed at that here. Although the nigiri was of great quality, we really don’t feel the overall value is here whatsoever Here’s what we settled with: Miso soup $ 6 — two tablespoons served lukewarm with a miniature bit of tofu and nonexistent seaweed. Yep, I am pretty much sipping on warm, salty water. Skip it. Flavor rating: 2⁄5 Makoto roll $ 22(spicy yellowtail & shrimp tempura wrapped with seared tuna spicy creamy sauce) — Sloppily rolled with lots of rice, minimal fish, and no wow-worthy sauce or flavor attributes. The roll ingredients and sauce were all too dry and bland. I was missing any trace of spicy yellowtail or even seared tuna, that’s for sure. Flavor rating: 2⁄5 Soft shell Crab roll $ 15 — The soft shell crab had excellent flavor, yet a tad too soggy for my preference. Again, why was the roll so shoddily put together? We did not dine on a busy evening(Tuesday night, close to closing), so there is no real excuse. Flavor rating: 3⁄5 Salmon Nigiri $ 8.50 — The salmon was sweet and fresh, yet, they were not generous with the cuts. What felt like a paper-thin, cheap cut was a tease in the end. Flavor rating: 3⁄5 Uni Nigiri $ 14 — The uni was vibrant and fresh, but again tiny portion, why would you ever need to pay $ 14 for uni nigiri, I will never know. It’s not like you can’t get it anywhere else as fresh, since you totally can for MUCH cheaper. Flavor rating: 3⁄5 We made the wrong step when we decided to be seated in the dining room floor with an awkward angle of the strip view. We might have ended up on a thrilling note if we dined along the sushi bar. For the same price point, I would have had more bang for my buck and a completely satisfied palate at Nobu. Eh, well you live and you learn.
