Disappointing. We even were next to the JABOWOCKEEZVIP seated section and still it was disappointing. Free drinks for ladies ’til 11:30pm were cheap alcohol so you may as well pay for drinks. Merlot by the glass was $ 12… DJ was pretty cool, kept the club hyped, but my 1 star is for the overpriced drinks and bartenders only are friendly when you tip them. If you don’t tip, them, they act ‘brand new’ on your 5th time up to get a drink. even if you did tip them the first 4 times. LOL

If I could give them 0 stars I would. Not only were they extremely rude, they turned us away. The only reason I can even come up with is that they are ageist and racist. I won’t be returning. Thanks Tao for wasting our time.

Cool location in the Venetian. 1st floor is a restaurant and upstairs is a club, I believe mainly for private functions. The welcoming and entrance process was very professional. The organizer had a video and sound show that was semi-professional; not sure if it was caused by the material or the technology there. The service was perfect, it couldn’t be better. A lot of friendly and attentive staff with delicious finger food and drinks. Loved it. ¡Viva Las Vegas!

0 stars if possible. Pre brought wristbands for the weekend. Were let in. Got to the stairs. Told we needed a stamp even though we obviously got our ID checked. Once we went out to get our stamps we were told we were too drunk even though we hadn’t even started drinking yet. Racism? Idk. 2 hours later had to talk to host Craig who props eventually got us in. Way too much effort after dropping hundreds just go get in to a mediocre place. Been here before a few years ago but this pace has definitely fallen from grace. Save your money and go to a newer club with professional staff.

Came here on my second night in Vegas. It was soooooo much fun! Everyone in my party but me stayed at the Venetian so entry was free, so I just blended in. They told us it would be fine. When we finally got there at 12 am, the door attendants tried to make us pay because there was a cut off time we were not told about. My friend, who was celebrating her birthday, brought her sister, who knew the owner. After a few seconds of talking we got in free with free drink tickets. The atmosphere was absolutely amazing. Love the décor, including the huge golden Buddha(right?) when you walk up the stairs. We went on a Saturday so the room was packed wall to wall. The go go dancers actually look like they enjoy what they do. And the music was great all night. I barely stopped dancing. They even played my friend’s favorite song when we walked in. Perfect timing! And the drink I had… something sweet, it was too loud for me to hear what it was… was soon good! My friend even got a tour of the club outside on the terrace and it had the most beautiful view! Can’t wait to go back here. By the time we left I was tired from some good olé’ fun!

RIPOFF. Went to see a «show» with Snoop Dogg last night and paid USD175 per ticket. Advertised as 9 – 11 pm open bar and hors d’oevres(which were fine). After waiting for 4 hours(we arrived at 8 am to get a good spot), the«master» showed up after midnight, sang 3 or 4 songs, you could hardly hear his voice, and he disappeared after exactly 18 minutes! Total deception and false advertisement on the part of Tao. I wish we had gone to see Niki Minaj or Britney, artists and organizers who still care about their fans and don’t deceive their audiences like this. Tao will not see us again. And I will also never go to a Snoop Dogg concert again. You forgot your roots, brother. Remember that you said this about excellence once(see picture)? Well, I’m afraid you have become arrogant and no longer master your craft.

Reviewing strictly for the nightclub: Door Service: disappointing to say the least. One of the head service guys certainly took our money earlier in the day promising special service for our private table and bottle service, but the follow throw was lacking. Overly busy, forgetting us, and seeming overwhelmed — he often tried to pawn us off on his co-workers who didn’t do any better. A certain level of disorganization and waiting is expected at most Vegas clubs even when getting bottle service. This was way more than expected — especially since we got there early in the evening. We waited a good 30 minutes and had paid for table. Bottle service: our waitress was excellent – friendly, fun, and attentive. We got two bottles and lots of fixings for an average price. The red bulls and other nicer mixers were extra — common though some nightclubs include them. The bars were packed so it was totally worth it for 9 of us to get the table. We especially appreciated the bouncer escorts to the bathroom but likely would not have been necessary f they didn’t let in too many people and have an awkward club layout. One of my party was asked by the bouncer for a tip afterwards — not classy. Atmosphere: most people were having a good time. The DJs were spinning well with some good remixes of rap, hip hop and rock. There were a good bit of dancers perched around and they had talent. Space and clientele: the Buddhist décor was tasteful(though I suppose not tasteful in regards to hedonistic pleasures superimposed around them). The clientele was dressed well and I saw a few people turned away that were dressed too casual. Vibe was shiek club in general. The physical space was large but yet far too many people crammed in. Literally packed like sardines. Hard to get to the dance floor and quite a few people pushing and getting physical when their friends or sig-o’s got smushed. Many of the bottle service tables were poorly positioned too with awkward flanking of bathrooms and elevator far from the dance floor. Takeaway: I was excited to see the hype and felt it was fun often in Tao, but the overcrowding/letting way too many people on combined with poor door service and bad space for tables will keep me from returning.

I go to Vegas pretty regularly and I would say this night club has a really bad set up. The dance floor is small and the tables are far away from the stage. You also have to walk up like two or three flights of stairs just to get to the night club. The club is inside of the restaurant so you have to walk through the restaurant to get to the club. The awesome promoters are the only thing driving this club. Shout out to cash daddy aka Chris cash for taking care of us and making sure we had a good time. The cocktail waitresses were also really good at making sure we had drinks and making the drinks. We saw Tritonal that night and I love Tritonal but they were not that great– partially because I don’t think the sound system is the best.

So Tao has been around a while. Originally it was a power-player of the high end nightclubs, and now it’s kinda so-so…It certainly is NOT an XS, Omnia, Hakkassan type place. But you can eat there(Tao is also a restaurant), and you can drink there, and you can dance your booty off there(although you’re not getting some top-flight big name DJ). Tao has multiple levels, with the entry level being more restaurant, walk-up bar, and lounge style place. The upstairs is the«club» with a few large dance floors, multiple bars, and the main DJ area. — The service is decent, and always has been… though if you don’t get bottle service good luck getting the attention of a server or bartender. — Same stuff all other bars have… so know what you want, have cash or card ready, or be willing to get overlooked and ignored. — Mostly decent dance floor, but be prepared to be covered in glitter and smell like ass when you leave. — DON’T under any circumstances bathe in cologne or perfume prior to coming to the club. That’s nasty. Stop that. — Please girls AND guys… keep your parts in your clothes. Honestly, there’s a time and a place for all your junk to come out the trunk and the dance floor, the club, and the public ain’t it… I don’t care how hot you are, or how desperate for attention you are… save it for your hotel room. — Drinks are pricey everywhere in Vegas, get over it. — Try to have fun, relax, don’t be up in people’s space because they’re just trying to have fun too. Make the experience better for you and everyone in your surroundings, don’t be that jackass acting a fool and slowing my jam cause you can’t handle Vegas. Not sure how much longer Tao will be around, as the Sands group will be renovating Venetian soon and trying to keep up with the ultra-clubs scene. Party people, make some noise in this joint!!! ENJOY!

Wow, I looooove TAO! My boyfriend, sister and I got into TAO with the help of a promoter, Jonathan, and the girls received free drinks from 10:30 — 11:30pm so we arrived early of course: P The ambiance is reminiscent of «Asian» cultures I guess, with a language similar to Cantonese/Mandarin around the walls and large bowls filled with blossoms(and naked girls dancing LOL). The dance floor is small but I think it’s still a really fun layout. The DJ played hip hop(from 2005-now) and I really enjoyed it. It was so nice to be able to dance to songs that we grew up with. It definitely felt like a throwback night and we loved it! We will definitely be back when we come back to LV!

Tao is pretty fun. Great music, strong drinks, and good looking girls ;) This place does get hella packed, like packed to where you can’t even move, let alone dance. The club seems very serious about security, like overly serious. There’s no reason why there should be like 10 security guards by the VIP section, especially when the club is packed as it is. The club is really fun but it does not make sense, unless you have a table. Or love being pushed by security guards and very drunk people.

Came here for halloween night. Paid $ 60 for two tickets my wife and i were able to skip the line and go straight in. Very crowded place– Difficult to breathe. Impossibly crowded dance floor. Terrible music. Dj did not know music from talking. There was a separate lounge section wtih another dj — much better music too. Got to see some unique and cool costumes. Very dark club… Disorientating… Packed full house. Bartenders were nice. Drinks will set you back $ 15/drink with a tip. I will not be back here. Very Over rated.

Came here on a girls trip. Ate in the restaurant before clubbing. They had half dressed girls outside of the restaurant in bath tubs that were filled with rose petals. Inside was okay. It was a blurred night. Good times with the girls and new friends were made. Bit cramped inside– pretty dancers are featured here.

Came here for the fiancé’s b-day bash. I’m not a big club person, so you can imagine how happy I was to be here. It’s a mess upstairs, but that’s how most clubs are. Tons of people and overpriced drinks. Not my scene. Still, for those that like to club this could be your spot. Long lines to get in and it costs money. Unless you’re staying at the hotel which our friends were so it made it free for us to get in. It’s a big location. My friend who was drunk fell asleep on a couch and was shook awake by security. I guess you can’t sleep here and they will shake you until you’re awake. Also, one of our drinks was nearly all syrup. Yum!

Ty I can’t express how much I appreciated all your help during our birthday celebration from my wife and I and all my friends. From Tao beach, dinner and Tao night club. Your team exceeded my expectations from Jeff, Ashley and Nick. First class service all the way. I look forward to coming to Vegas again and spending my time with the Tao group. Thanks

It was fun until it became a mosh pit. I first visited Tao back in 2007. We didn’t wait long in line because we were a gaggle of girls. I saw they were skipping groups of guys though to keep the ratio. Back then it seemed like crowd control and spacing was still good. Men were friendly and chatted/bought us drinks. All and all a great time. This time around, we were physically crushed. I couldn’t even move my arms while dancing because people were squeezing THAT tightly. INSANE. Music wasn’t bad, but the pushing really ruined the entire experience. Guys shoved their way through, putting their hands everywhere(my waist/backside had never been more thoroughly stroked in my life and my girlfriend literally left with a powdery white hand print on her ass –to this day we can only guess what that was). One guy even flipped her off when she declined to dance with him. Then some girl next to us bent over and started dry heaving. Mind you, not even leaving the dance floor. She released a few puddles of spittle on the ground and then straightened herself up and KEPTDANCING. Really, Tao? Is this the crowd you’re bringing in these days? Disappointing. You used to be one of my favorite clubs, Tao! We even brought advance admission tickets online because we were so excited! Not worth it for the total shit show we experienced.

Came here for the second time during Labor Day weekend. My first time was during the grand opening, but that was a long time ago. This most recent experience was… Interesting. We ate at the Tao restaurant so we were given stamps to cut the lines. But the rest of our party(five more girls) didn’t eat there so we didn’t plan on going. A man scouted us to go line-free so we waited with him in the casino for about 15 min while he gathered more people. He did as promised and got us in free without lines, including my boyfriend(usually that just works for females). Once we were inside it was JAMMED Packed! There were so many people we couldn’t even dance or get to the bar. Our party left after ten minutes. My boyfriend and I stayed about a half hour more hoping to see Juicy J. We gave up at midnight cuz we were over it. We were literally just standing there in the dark with hundreds of other people with no room to dance. My first time there was much more fun. I really think someone messed up on counting people entering the club. Maybe next time will be better.

Hated this place! Not only did we have to pay the $ 22 cover charge because we arrived after 1 am(our fault), we were asked numerous times to move from certain areas by the security staff. If you don’t have a VIP table, there is basically nowhere to stand or sit. It’s insane! We first stood against the wall near the bar because there were no places to stand elsewhere and the security came over and flashed his bright-ass flashlight in our faces and told us «only men» can stand there because the wall was supposed to be the line for the men’s bathroom. Yeah, okay jackass. So we went upstairs and stood against the rail while they played some good music. Literally a minute later, just as we were starting to enjoy ourselves and get comfortable, the security guard comes over and tells us, we can’t stand there because everything in that area is reserved for the VIP guests, who by the way were sitting down 4 feet away. Why even let people go upstairs then??! Busta Rhymes was the guest that night and although I like him, he spoke way too much and was wasted during the performance. I’m so mad I paid $ 22 for this place. It was not worth it at all. They do play decent music but that’s about all the good I can say about this place. Don’t think I’ll be back.

Back in the day… like WAYWAYWAY back in the day before the era of Vegas superclubs kicked off with the opening and XS, apparently Tao was the spot(or at least that’s what all my friends who used to go to Vegas an insane amount of times in the 2000s tell me). Well, since I’ve pretty much been to every superclub multiple times now, I figured I would go check it out… as something new. The irony lol. Anyways, I can see what the appeal was back in the day. It retains the boxier shape of clubs from the old era rather than the circular shape of the clubs from these days. Bars are fairly accessible. one behind the dance floor, one kinda off to the side of the dance floor. And yeah it’s crowded, but it ain’t CROWDED. If I can move where I need to without having to push my way through people in a Vegas club, I’m totally fine with that. Depending on the night, hip-hop is the predominant music of choice here, although I have seen the odd house music act advertised here and there. The strange irony of that is it doesn’t really matter where you get a table in a club like this. Pretty much anywhere is good since there is absolutely no need to be looking at the DJ for 4 hours lol. Of course, if you ever need to get a table here, hit up my main man Chris at(702) 722‑8585. He’ll get you squared away for your entire weekend with no fuss at all!
