UNLV Stan Fulton Building

Another solid event by the UNLV Hotel College. As usual, it was open to the public and for $ 15 we were treated with a Wine Tasting & light Appetizers by Banfi Vinters.
The appetizers consisted of premium Deli Meats, Cheeses, Bread, and Shrimp w/​Penne Pasta & Cream Sauce. Awesome food to pair with the Wine selection for the evening.
The featured Wines were:
Maschio Prosecco Treviso Brut
San Angelo Pinot Grigio 2007
Centine Toscana 2008 (Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot)
Rosso di Montalcino 2006 (100% Sangiovese)
BelnerO Sangiovese 2005
Rosa Regale (Brachetto 100%)
They were all very good. My favorites were the 2005 BelnerO and the 2006 Rosso di Montalcino. I’m a Red Wine lover of course… and those were excellent!
The two surprises of the evening for me were the Maschio Prosecco Treviso Brut and the Rosa Regale. The Prosecco is an excellent alternative to Champagne, much lighter and very refreshing. The Rosa Regale was sweet and would go perfectly with any dessert… yum! They were both added to the «Hit List».
Overall, it was another awesome event and for $ 15, it’s a steal! UNLV Students were responsible for preparing the food and serving the guests. They always do a great job. It’s a great way to experience an awesome event and support the University.
