I’ve had good experiences with the folks here several times since moving back the area. Oil changes have gone smoothly, and I’ve been given honest feedback about brake/tire wear and other consumables needs. My biggest complaint is that they always seem understaffed, which leads to some delays while staff has to pause to answer the phone or process newly arrived customers.

Bumping these guys up to 4 stars based on my recent experiences. They are pretty responsive and flexible. I have not tried to use the online reservation system again — since I know that hasn’t worked well in the past. If you need reservations for work call them directly. I recently ordered tires and had them delivered to Monro for mounting, balancing and install. Everything went very smoothly and their charge for the work was $ 20 less than the estimate provided by . As with most service places the experience greatly depends on how busy they are. If you hit them during an off time the service has been great.

The service would have been quick if they had bothered to ask me what kind of oil I prefer used in my car. But they didn’t so when they pulled it out of the lot I asked if they had used what I had in my car the premium oil… they hadn’t. So I had to wait for them to redo the whole process over again. Not that that is a huge deal but I think that it shows they aren’t really paying attention and rushing through when they don’t ask you, or don’t show you. Regardless I’ll be keeping my business with monroe… just only at the one in Schenectady. I wont be returning here.
