Place is big, very nice looking from the outside and inside as well. They have a restaurant and a lounge that opens at 9 pm. The drinks are fabulous! The food — not so great — their jerk chicken tasted nothing like Jerk. It seemed that they dropped the oxtail is a bowl of bbq sauce. The fried calamari, was extremely chewy, the rice, completely blend. — just a really bad culinary experience. The lounge in the back was pretty impressive, good ambiance, spacious area, music was on point, I guess that sort of makes up for the bad food. Entrance is free with your meal receipt, if not I think you pay $ 10 at the door.

This place is closed. No information on their Facebook page. Looks like they took off and are on the run. There was a case of «card skimming» recently. Not sure if that had anything to do with it.

I’m only giving this place 2 stars instead of 1 because the foods were actually good. I absolutely love Jamaican cuisines and are always in search of an authentic one. When my Jamaican boss recommended this place, I knew I had to try it out. Finally got a chance to on 04÷10÷156:00PM. Mind you, 6:00PM are usually when dinner starts. When we walked in, it was completely empty with just one host and one waiter. We didn’t mind because we’re thinking, «oooh…we’ll have our foods quickly». The place was gorgeous and vibe was friendly. I really do hate giving bad reviews, but I appreciate it when others gives their honest reviews on Unilocal. The waiter was pretty nice. Took all our orders. The kids wanted french fries. He claimed that the chef is still preparing it because they make it from scratch and it would take an hour to prep it. Are you kidding me? 1 hour just to cut up some fries? We should had been warned then. While people are trickling in group by group, took the kids to go use the restroom. The handicap stall had already ran out of toilet tissues completely. Okay, I use to work in the restaurant business. We always make sure that our restaurant is completely stocked and prepared for the morning, lunch, and dinner rush. I was hoping that perhaps they were just getting started and will put some in later. I can go on and on about this place, but I’ll just get straight to the point. Our group of 6(including shared entrees b/c of the kids) took ANHOUR just to get our foods!!! ITWASOUTRAGEOUS!!! Went to the restroom again and by then, it was a mess because the customers were throwing paper towels on the floor due to no trash bags at the counter and people waiting in line because of no toilet tissue. I went to the bar to ask for more… took them another 15 minutes to bring some and the guy claimed that he has to go into the restroom to put it in. I told him that there are many ladies in there and I can just give them the rolls. He actually responded back, «if all you ladies wouldn’t had been in there in and out, I can do my job». What the heck!!! He could have done his job prior to the rush!!! Let’s just say that we had a few brush of words, paid our tab, and ran out of there. You will never see me go there again. I’ll just stick with Red Hills Jerk Center and Chef Rob’s Carribean Café.

I went here last Saturday almost 1am. They promise the kitchen would stay open til 2. There was 1 couple on the restaurant side. We paid $ 10 each to enter the lounge side. The music was so loud at first I was about to turn around but I got use it after awhile. We order wings and Maryland style crab cake with corn salsa. Food came out about 45mins later. The waitress kinda forgot about it. The wings were kinda dry. Not to brag about. The crab cake just ok. Definitely not Maryland style cuz I’m from Baltimore. Dj called out a special for $ 3 shots. The waitress gave it to us for free :) the Dj was off the hook. I really enjoyed the music. All reggae with a few hip hop here and there. Not much. The crowd was mature 30 and up. People dancing mostly couples a few singles here and there. The place is really nice. Blue lights and fancy set up. I enjoyed my night. I will be coming back. Actually I’ll be there tomorrow I hear it’s there last night open. I heard they closing. Sad to see them close.

Nice little spot w/good wings & nice atmosphere. Wish they had couscous and beef patties tho, but the rum punch(wray & nephew w/house made fruit punch) was very good. Also our server Rob was very hospitable! All in all a nice spot! We shall return.

I was surprised to find such a wonderful Caribbean place seemingly hidden in Lawrenceville. It’s clean, young, vibrant, and gorgeous. My friend brought me on a random Thursday night round 8pm and the place was literally empty. Of course our service was speedy and warm. The RUMPUNCH has some kick. It was dangerously smooth and will fool some. The Rasta Pasta was certainly a treat with jerk chicken on top. It’s spicy but that’s how I love it! My only complaint was that they poured way to much sauce on the pasta so it was swimming in it. That may have been an isolated incident… There is an amazing looking dance area/club adjacent to the main dining area. My friend tells me that it makes for quite the experience on the weekends. I will take her up on this soon!

My first experience: 1. The atmosphere is nice 2. We came to the door we were not greeted with«hi how are you doing this evening» is this your first time here” with two ladies at the door they did not speak, this is basic host/waiter 101 or communication skills. 3. got there around 630 so was pretty early not a big crowd which was fine with coming from shopping. Had to ask for drink menu which took forever in 20 minutes to receive drinks another 20 minutes before she return to take orders another 20 minutes to return. 4. Food finally arrived but in patches i get my order my sister got her my nephew never received his lemonade, my mother was not eaten anything because her meal came out maybe 6, 7 minutes after we got. which is unacceptable when your guess are there to enjoy a meal together. 5. Red snapper was good the vegetables broccoli and sliced carrots need butter and they were lukewarm, peas and rice a little over cooked also needed butter salt and pepper, the pickled peppers that was garnishing the fish a little too vinegary for me. The cook was extremely slow. Again this this place needs to work on a service in a kitchen hooks because I’ve seen a lot of places come and go especially restaurant’s.

I went here for a girl’s night out on a Sunday. Things started to go downhill after our server introduced herself. With a large party, it normally takes longer than normal for everyone to be ready to order but we waited over 30 minutes for her to take our orders after the intro. And this would be drink and food orders at the same time. She didn’t ask for drink orders until taking the food orders. Our drinks came out about 20 minutes later and my wine had cork in it. Instead of waiting for our server to come back, I went to the bar to get it replaced. I guess all of the wine glasses were in the lounge area because I was asked if it was okay to use the same glass. I didn’t mind since I watched him rinse it out but that should not have been an option. After all of that, our server still was not seen. Our food took around more 45 minutes to come out. Our server brought the plates out, 2 at a time! Where were the other servers to help with a large order??? I was a little disappointed at my meal at 1st glance, Rasta Pasta with Jerk Chicken. I expected the chicken to be cut up and mixed in with the pasta but was just cut up Jerk chicken placed on top of the pasta. If I wanted Jerk chicken like this, I would have ordered the Jerk chicken plate with rice and peas and cabbage. I was further disappointed at the taste. It was missing some flavoring, the spicy level was good but another seasoning was missing, not sure what but it was missing it. Our server was not very attentive and it seemed to be her 1st night. She was all over the place and didn’t check on us very often. In addition, one of us asked another server that was walking by for napkins. The response was«I’m not your server but I’ll get her for you». Not what we wanted to hear after the horrible service so far. The evening was rounded out by a very long wait for our checks and a long wait for our cards and receipts back. I had wanted to visit Footprints for awhile. Now I don’t see a repeat visit in my future. I had high hopes but if I am getting horrible service, the food should at least be good. Guess I’ll stick to my little take out Jamaican restaurant. Update on leftovers: it didn’t improve the taste after one day. My husband said it was bland. It still tastes like sauce, Jerk seasoning and pasta.

Very first time coming to the restaurant. Upon arrival waited 25 mins to be acknowledged to be seated. Once seated I ordered patron silver I was brought gold. Waitress said she thought it was gold but bartender told her it was silver. Then I ordered the ribeye which was as thin as my napkin. The manager didn’t think anything was wrong with that. My bake potato was still frozen. HORRIBLESERVICE I WANTGOBACK!

I’d like to understand how an establishment with that small of a bar selection not able to serve its customers. In the midst of your highest capacity, there are only 2 wannabe bar tenders that can’t keep up with the crowd by no means. 15 minutes it took to get one drink. I only came for a birthday party and ordered 3 items. The wannabe waiter writes it down, screwed it up twice and bought me someone else’s tab. If I could give this place zero stars, you’d get it. Be thankful there’s no competition in the immediate area

Finally visited this place last night with 2 friends. We ordered the Rum Punch but the waitress stated they were«out of orange and pineapple juice to make it.» What?! On a Saturday night?! OK… So then we ordered 2 bottles of wine off the menu… She came back and said«we don’t have any bottles to sell» What?! We should have left then but we decided to stay and order food. BIGMISTAKE. We ordered the sampler platter of chicken wings, jerk shrimp, tenders, fries and a side of macaroni & cheese. It was ALLHORRIBLE. The only nice thing I can say is the DJ was great! We won’t be back.

Footprints was indeed a great experience. I’m a lover of all things Caribbean and this is a favorite near by that I can enjoy as often as I like. I first came here with friends On a comedy night a few months back. That night I didn’t enjoy the menu. There are quite a few nights of entertainment here I have to check them out sometimes.(Now about the food) This evening That I came, I sat and ate dinner over some good conversation with a glass of chardonnay. I ordered the Rasta pasta, and my dinner guest had this fabulous Brown stew fish with seasoned rice/broccoli. The pasta was delicious, creamy sauce and plenty to cover the pasta. The atmosphere was very laid back, music variety wasn’t reggae which I expected and would have enjoyed but it was a mix of R&B with holiday music. There was a few attentive staff on hand walking around to help whenever needed. I really wanted to try the dessert but became too full after the Rasta Pasta:) (The pineapple upside down cake was calling me) This most certainly won’t be my last time Here because I see more appetizing menu items that I must try!

Yummy meat! Great atmosphere! Awesome service! Went there for the first time after buying a Groupon and I’m so happy I did! I ordered the full rack of ribs with a side of rice and peas and my husband for the cajun shrimp with garlic mashed potatoes and cabbage. The ribs were on point!!! Half jerk and half bbq personally I prefered the bbq but husband liked the jerk. I didn’t care for the rice it was too dry and lacked flavor. Keith was our waiter and he was very kind and helpful. He even gave my husband a sample of the oxtail since my husband was indecisive on what to get. He was very patient with us when we didn’t know what to order and answered any questions we had with out rushing us :) definitely worth the trip! Also they were having comedy hour in the back part. Will definitely have to return to check that out.

We decided to visit on the humble since we heard about the Saturday night music set and awesome Jamaican food. We show up and there is no wait. It took a minute for a server to show up, but we weren’t in a hurry. We ordered cocktails — mistake. They were watered down and bland. But the food! The jerk wing appetizer is to die for. I had the curry shrimp and my husband had the jerk pork. We were both members of the clean plate club. I’d definitely eat here again. We spent $ 70 then headed over to the club area to listen to music. We were stopped and told we needed to pay $ 40. *insert shocked face here* I told them we’d just eaten and wanted to continue the evening. With a straight face he says, $ 30. I refuse to pay $ 30 after spending $ 70 so we left. I think it’s a poor business practice to ask people who ate dinner to pay but oh well.

I went there for lunch and the food was amazing! I had the oxtail and rice and peas. The oxtail was a little sweet but very tender. It wasn’t overpriced either. I also went there on a Saturday night. The music was on point. I would go more often but it is too far.

This place is amazing. I just moved to the Lawrenceville area and my husband was dying to try this place. I love Jamaican food, and this place was delish. We ordered the Taste of Jamaica platter to start, followed by Jerk Chicken for me and Oxtails for the hubby. Everything was so yummy, and our server was very nice. The only thing I would suggest to the owner is to have the booths replaced, as the vinyl was completely cracked on both sides, making sitting on it a little uncomfortable. But the food and atmosphere was superb. Will definitely return, very soon :) P. S. Their plantains were delish!!!

The food is good but I am sick and tired of running into the same issue every damn time I come here. When you order your entrée’ you get a choice of a veggie and a side. You get the option to sub a side with rasta pasta for a $ 2 up charge. What I was told AFTER I received my bill was that if I sub and pay the up charge for the rasta pasta that I do not get my veggie. What kind of sense does that make? So they charged me separate for the veggie. Her reasoning was that they give u a full portion of the pasta which is not true at all. And even if it was true, wth does that have to do with my veggie? Not a damn thing. That is the point of the upcharge. It’s a different story every time. So if you want the rasta pasta with your food, make sure u get clarification!!! Smh at them.

Wanted to try something different than my old standbys, so a Unilocalin’ we went. Input: Restaurants — Lawrenceville. This was #21. Footprints? Where in the sam — heck is Footprints? Been up and down 20 for ten years and never seen the place. Actually, you could miss it. Granted it takes up a third of the plaza due to the restaurant then nightclub, but it is tucked just past the new Sugarloaf Extension /Intersection so look closely. In we went, very surprising. Very nice décor and what I considered a plus was the blunt signage stating keep your pants up, dress attire appropriate, and wear your darn ball cap the way a ball cap is supposed to be worn. In short, a well managed, classy, no BS establishment! Wife and I were greeted and seated in the upper booth!, Yep! they have a upper and lower level, how cool is that!!! Our waitperson, Felecia was very personable, professional, and just made ya feel at home. She handed us a «drink menu», let me tell you the drink prices were $ 9.00 and $ 10.00 per glass!!! As stated in a tip I noticed drinks are high so I was not surprised. I noticed a Blueberry Lemonade and gave it a shot. My wife had a Cosmo. It is a «good thing» I was driving for if I were not I would of had a $ 200.00+ dollar bill and would be flat on my arse! That drink was outstanding all the way. Drinks are expensive, but mine was a full treat. Oh yeah, my wife enjoyed hers as well. Food Order: My wife chose the Curry Shrimp dish and veggie. She would have preferred it a little less hot in the spice area, but overall she enjoyed it. The serving was large but she just about finished all of it. For me it was the Rasta Pasta with Jerk Shrimp. Why would you go to a Caribbean style restaurant and not get Jerk style? Will put it this way as I informed my wife and Felecia. I lived in New Jersey for over 10 years and since leaving New Jersey for Chicago then Atlanta, I have never found a pasta dish on par. As I state in my profile, my last dish on earth would be a New Jersey Penne’ with a Vodka Gravy. So, as far as my Rasta Pasta with Jerk Shrimp? Candidly it was the best I have had since New Jersey. Overall the pasta was 85% al dente’,(only 15% more and it would have been perfect!) but again the best since… No need to ask if I will return as it is rather obvious. Granted, it will be awhile as my cardiologist my get a litte testy if I make Rasta Pasta part of my diet plan. But for a treat? Oh Yeah Baby it will will be. So, take off your shoes and make some Footprints down to the Café. FYI, I was informed that Sunday is Smooth Jazz day, another plus!
