Every time I go here it’s something different: out of chicken legs, out of biscuits, they get my order wrong, it takes a long time to get my food(especially in the drive thru), etc. The employees have attitudes and act like they hate their job and I feel like it’s unsanitary inside.

Stopped in to try the $ 5 Box. Gaught to say, full corn on the cob, rice & beans, biscuit, and 3 spicy chicken strips for $ 5 was great! I got it with a sweet tea for $ 6. Still a great meal for the price!

Their food never disappoints. The chicken is always hot and the taste is good. I like their biscuits and chickenstrips.

It seems like a new location. Everything clean and new looking. Chicken tastes like it always does… damn good. Love their spicy fried chicken with a side of rice and beans. I’ve eaten at Popeyes everywhere from the Republic of Korea to Missouri and the chicken is consistently good… IMO the only variant is the service. At this location, my two person group were the lone customers in the store… so we had excellent service.

I went to Popeyes because I really do love their chicken. However, on this particular day I ended up throwing my chicken away. I waited in the empty drive thru line for quite some time before I finally had to yell at the speaker to get assistance. They took my order and I waited at the window for several more minutes while the 5 or 6 employees stood around laughing and joking with each other. Finally to get their attention I took out my phone and took a picture. Score. I got her attention and she told the other staff that I was taking pictures of them. She handed me my food rudely and asked why I was taking pictures. I said because they were bs’ing rather than working. The staff was mad but I don’t care. Customer service is key. The business was empty. There was chicken made waiting under the heater. I should not have been sitting there for that length of time. When I looked at my food, the chicken was torn and they were the tiniest pieces she could have possibly given me. It got thrown in the trash.

It had been 8 months since my boy’s last Popeye’s chicken strip. Eight long months. How do I know this? Because it was the last thing he ate before we drove to the airport on our way to the mainland. I can’t believe we’ve been here for eight months… Sorry, where was I? Ah, yes. I’m in Oklahoma. Lawton, Oklahoma. Popeye’s has long been the Boy’s favorite fried chicken. He loves the strips, adores the mashed potatoes, and is enchanted by the biscuits.(Can’t blame him on the biscuits!) This town has a KFC, three Church’s, and one lonely Popeye’s, stuck in a corner of town where we rarely go. It was easy to forget how much we liked the fried chicken here, but after a few attempts at eating at the other fried chicken places in town, my dear boy looked up at me and exclaimed, «Popeye’s for dinner tonight!» and we were off! And that is the story of how we discovered the nicest looking fast food restaurant in town. The décor is new and well thought out, and the space is roomy without looking empty. We were two of only 6 – 8 people eating in the dining room, but the drive through was in constant use, We’d considered just driving through, but are glad that we decided to eat inside. So much nicer when one gets to take a peek at the staff and the kitchen! If you decide to go to Popeye’s, take the extra time to step inside. Say hello to the friendly staff, and marvel at the interior design work. This is honestly one of the nicest tooling restaurants in town.
