I look forward to my trips to this Malibu Tan location. The customer service has been nothing less than friendly and professional and I feel that I’m appreciated for coming in to use their services. The place is clean and convenient — right off the feeder road — and I would not hesitate to recommend them. It’s always a pleasure!

I’m a relatively new resident to Texas and it’s a huge disappointment that the local tanning salons do not live up to the standards I became accustomed to at the tanning salon I frequented back home. The only reason I bother to tan here is because I don’t want to drive 15+ minutes out of my way to go somewhere else. In general, the employees are not very friendly and they can become down right rude when it comes to the products they are consistently trying to shove down your throat. A review from an employees standpoint on stated that«Malibu Tan only pays 8.50−9.50/hr and tries to compensate with commission and sales bonuses — they also do not provide benefits, and if you don’t meet your sales goals, management will be down your throat.» No wonder their employees are so rude when you decline to make a purchase. Also, the products are priced way too high — I’m sure to compensate for the bonus they give the employee for selling it. Don’t waste your money, you can find the same products online for a much better price. Ugh! Sometimes I honestly dread walking in the door here. Oh, plus I don’t know what the deal is, but I have been asked multiple times how I liked XYZ lotion that I bought last time, when I never actually purchased that lotion. So I think the employees make up fictitious sales sometimes to help meet unrealistic goals. Bottom line, the sales tactics are extremely annoying from a customer standpoint — they really need to change their business model, pay their employees better and cut down on the sales expectations so the employees drop the attitude. Oh, and seriously upgrade the beds. For a salon franchise of this size, you should have much better quality beds and at least two beds at every level to cut down on wait times. SMH Malibu, SMH!
