Went here for breakfast. Kind of a «hippie» feel to the place but didn’t let it scare me off. Good food, had a pumpkin pancake. Friendly staff. Would go here again.

Favorite breakfast spot in town! My omelette was made perfectly with exactly the right combination of egg, spinach, mushroom and cheese. Has Browns were good and the service was great! My husband enjoyed his pancakes and sausage too. It is consistently a good, homey spot and we always leave happy.

My husband and I came here on both our trips to leavenworth for breakfast. Both times the waitress was really nice and the food was great. We came here last halloween morning I got salmon cream cheese scramble and my husband got biscuits and gravy, bacon, sausage, and eggs. Everything was really good!

It is a small, cozy place. Loved the environment and décor. The food was excellent. We had one of the best breakfast burritos we have ever encountered. The pancakes smell and taste delicious. The server was friendly and made sure we had everything. We will definitely be back :) thanks for a great experience.

Where to begin: the slow service? the apathetic server? making substitutions without any mention? the cold(kraft) mac and cheese? My 8-yr-old summer it up well when she remarked«it doesn’t seem like they care about their customers here»

The little Café is a place that you can’t miss in Leavenworth, Wa., I went to watch a Germany game at 9:00am and the huevos rancheros were very good, the owner put a lot of attention in details and their menu is well prepared. You Must Visit Them.

This is my «go-to» place for breakfast and I live in Leavenworth. It has a great homey atmosphere and is run by a friendly staff including the owner who’s usually there. I typically get the Kristianna breakfast(the main breakfast meals are named for family and friends) which includes eggs, sausage, and pancakes. It’s the perfect amount of food and a great price!

WOW! We had a totally different exposure to this café then others had. In our case we were basically the only customers… we were a party of three. It was a stop for breakfast and we really enjoyed it. Kim met us at the door with a smile and saw us seated and attended to. I like to joke around a lot and my humor was met with the same from her. My wife, her sister and I enjoyed a great breakfast. We plan to have lunch there as well. Given the difference in the crowd I can see where things may have been on unequal footing… however we were throughly pleased with this eatery.

We came in the middle of the week during December. Only 2 other people came in while we were there. They special made a wrap for me using tortillas because I avoid gluten. It was fantastic… best food I had in Leavenworth. Another in our party had brats and said they were better than the highly priced ones he’d had at a German restaurant the night before. Great food, good service. Good prices.

It was open before just about anywhere else in town off-season on a Tuesday morning. We dropped in here before hiking in the Enchantments and got breakfast wraps and coffee to go. The wraps were big and full of good stuff – very filling and kept me full and fueled for most of the morning on the trail. It came with a side of potatoes which was way too much food for me that early in the morning. The coffee wasn’t anything special, but it was good and it was hot. The guy working there was friendly and got us our food and coffees quickly and with a genuine smile.

We arrived in Leavenworth on a crowded Saturday in October and found this little basement restaurant with immediate availability. We were sat at the end of a large communal table that was surrounded by tables. Our server came over and went over the specials and we ordered drinks. There were a lot if people squeezed in and it was loud. Once we were ready to order we flagged down our waitress, who has not been back, and ordered and reminded her about our drinks. We quickly realized that there was one waitress for the entire room(9 tables and the communal center table that sat 10) and another woman that sort of helped with things. As more people came in the«helper woman» would say we’re full and the other woman would sort of shift people around and squeeze more people in. Clearly, they were overwhelmed, but that didn’t stop them for bringing in more bodies. Our table backed up to a four top that they put five people at(one on the end), this meant we had to move everyone around at our table as they could no longer get by when goign through the aisle. This resulted in our chairs being bumped everytime the waitress had to get through … truly unnecessary. We waited a VERY long time for our food and we weren’t the only ones. Other tables around us started looking around and trying to see what was going on. The helper woman stopped at our table and asked if we needed anything, we said our food. Miraculously it appeared moments later. My burger, which was called out on the menu, was dry, overcooked and clearly a pre-made patty with LOTS of filler. My mom did have a delicious Reuben and my daughter’s nachos were good. We had planned on having a piece of their apple strudel, but we didn’t have the time to wait for it. We ate, paid and left. During all this time, we barely ever even saw our waitress and instead watched her at the bar laughing and chatting with some folks. We won’t be back … and recommend you only try it if you have time to wait.

We had tofu scramble and garden burger. The food was good but the wait was way too long. First we had to wait 15 minutes to get a table, after that it took more than 45 minutes to get the food which made the experience really disappointing.

If you want eat something that looks and tastes like someone vomited on your plate go here. This was awful frightening food and careless service. We were lured into the windowless hole by a seemingly friendly sign that advertised«Free– range eggs and local organic ingredients». The lights flickered from a lose ceiling fan and the ketchup bottle seemed to be pealing from the inside. Still we tried to find something of quality on the yellowing plastic menus. The waitress seemed drained of life and annoyed and never looked at us once as she took our order. Regardless of her behavior, we maintained a friendly demeanor as we ordered blueberry pancakes with strawberries and whipped cream, and a veggie scramble with apple sausage and a side of black bean as my partner told the waitress he was allergic to potatoes. Moments later plain pancakes arrived and a veggie scramble with mashed black beans and chunks of potato. I waited for her to notice and then asked if she might bring the pancake toppings and a scramble without potatoes as we mentioned a clear food allergy. Visibly annoyed she removed the scramble back to the kitchen and returned again the strawberries whipped cream and a new plate that looked mashed up refried beans and eggy vomit and smelled of some kind of curried hummus. I tried it and promptly went to the bathroom to puke. My partner asked if she would dare eat a bite of it and she would not. We paid for the pancake but flatly refused and excused our self from the scramble… I have heard of chiefs putting«crap» in people’s food and judging by the smell of this food i would not rule this out. I would call the health department on this place. Disgusting.

They appeared to be the only place in Leavenworth that actually had seating on a Saturday night during Oktoberfest. We were hungry, so in we went. I was intrigued by the linguini with tahini and garlic dish, which set high expectations by being called«god food». I love garlic, and this dish promised to deliver. Also got the veggie nachos appetizer. The«god food» was a disappoinment. I was starving, so I wolfed it down, but there was no detectable trace of garlic in the dish. Boo. The nacho appetizer actually arrived after the main courses. The toppings were tasty, but the chips tasted stale. Those dishes plus a beer added up to almost $ 30… pretty pricey.

So this one is a bit difficult to rate, our experience was unique to say the least because it started out a little slow but then ended with a pleasant conversation with the owner about how she’s owned the café for 14 years and how she has a booth at the local farmers market in the summer and cooks her food there. Also about what all she makes herself daily for the café,(including her amazing struesels(*sp?) & her homemade croutons), and how she seeks out as much organic and local produce and items as she can. Our experience: We were walking down the street and seeing the menu with all the veggie & organic options inticed us to go in for a late brunch. We walked in and were the only people there. great! While waiting for waters and menus, a family with 2 young kids walked in. We all sat for awhile and finally got waters… My bf(wanting to get outside and get on with our day) went up to ask for a menu from the owner. The waitress, who was sweet and filling in that day came over pretty quick after that and took our order. The food eventually came, and was good. We got the breakfast scramble burritos that came with homemade potatoes and a side salad.
Service was slow in the beginning, and there was a lot of talking. but I enjoyed our food, and had a good conversation with all the ladies there. If you are not in a hurry, I think you should try this place out, and have your own experience. Some things could be improved, but this local hidden café is the kind of place that us vegetarians love to find in a bratwurst filled town :)

Spent a weekend with my best buddy @ Leavenworth and notice it is time for lunch, so we walk around with my Unilocal app to find some hidden gem for food. I picked couple of them and after checking the menu, we decided to come to this café. The café is locate like basement level(need to walk downstairs). Upon entered, it is the photos on the wall draw my attention(see my postings). The place is clean and cozy. Mid size, family style. For food, I ordered Bratwurst Hot Summit Sandwiches which include salad and chips. My buddy ordered Dawn’s Favorite Tofu Scramble wrap. It is quite a lay back café. There’s only one server and looks like a friend of hers hang out in there. Anyway, as my expectation is not into high class. as long as food is good and price is reasonable, I“m happy. Most of the item in the menu is less than $ 10 though. Turn out is pretty good. Both of us leave with happy face and full tummy.

Went to Leavenworth recently and upon reccomendation of the hotel, went to have breakfast there. It’s a nice little establishment, probably 10 tables total. Pretty good menu, a lot of different items. I had the Greek scramble, which was plenty good, and my wife said the lattes there were some of the best she’s ever had. That being said, service is slooooowwww. We were there with one other group and I probably had to wait about 20 – 30 minutes after finishing my meal to get the plates taken. The owner was eating breakfast and even though looking right at me and seeing that I was done, spent her time finishing the food before helping me out at all. I don’t want to interrupt anyone and I guess I understand, but this is a place of business and I am a paying customer. I expect a little better. I’d probably come back for the food and coffee, which are good. I’d be prepared for a wait, though, and I’d certainly hope there wasn’t a packed house.

Let me start of by saying that I even cringe giving this place a one star review… We stayed in Leavenworth on a Sunday evening and rubbed elbows with some of the locals who highly recommended this café for breakfast. I am thoroughly convinced that the locals are so over the whole tourist scene that recommending this café is one massive practical joke! We walked in at about 1130, which I am assuming is after the breakfast rush ;) As we walked in there was a cute newborn baby on a table and another young lady at the counter on Facebook(her back to a newborn baby). Her and the server(another young lady) were looking at photos. We sat at a table and were eventually greeted, and eventually asked our orders. I ordered some pancakes and when I began to eat them I could not even break off a piece with my fork. The pancakes were easily 2 day old and reheated. I have never encountered such rubbery pancakes. I kindly communicated my issue with the server and she sighed and said«why don’t you use your knife?» I was completely speechless and dumbfounded that I would ever have to eat pancakes with a steak knife. Unreal… The place is really cute and cozy, that may make it more of a one star review!

My bf and I were in a rush, trying to find a place to grab a quick brunch before a rafting trip. We were both so pleased with our decision, after picking the place upon bypassing a few others. PROS: 1. Fast service. We ordered at 10:45am, got our food at 10:55, and were out of there by 11:20. 2. Super tasty! I ordered the roast beef sandwich au jus. It was a ton(probably 8 or so slices) of beef on a double-toasted focaccia bread. The au jus was really rich and savory(like French onion soup base). It came with a side salad and some chips. The salad was fresh, and the croutons were whole grain and extra toasted(not soggy or stale). My bf ordered the chicken pesto wrap. It was huge. The pesto was good, it had lots of chicken, and came with a side of God salad(a tahini, garlic linguini=so good). It was only $ 8 a person. We scarfed down our meals so fast, and were so happily fed. CONS: They tell you, «it’s a buck less if you pay cash» aka they charge you an entire dollar for using a credit card. Wtf. Is that even legal?
