Destinations Hair Studio And Day Spa

Just this weekend I had my hair done here by Alanna for my friends wedding. Coming from an experienced bridesmaid, this was by far the best experience I had getting my hair styled! Alanna was very creative with my hair and we both had a lot of fun as she improvised on the spot. Becky, who coordinated the service was amazing at managing my request since I had originally been scheduled for a blow out, but due to weather needed my hair up. Becky and Alanna were able to fit me in and keep the Bride’s hair appointment on schedule! I highly recommend this salon’s services to anyone who needs a hair cut/​style or style for a special occasion. If you are having your wedding at the Inn, rest assure, your girls are going to love their hair! Also, I didn’t get my make up done but the make up artists here were fabulous as well.

I went to go get a gel manicure and then my husband and I got a couples massage right after. By the way, love, love, LOVE this inn. First time, and we were thrilled to find such a classy place basically in the middle of nowhere. Lol.
Pros:
–they have an LED machine, which is better than UV
–manicurist (Kayla? Kylie?) is fairly humorous
–the gel color selection isn’t particularly extensive, but it covers the basics
–massage was absolutely lovely. I had Dana (?), and my husbands masseuse was some lady with purple hair. The only thing I would change is that she massaged my whole body, then my head, then my face. Which made me wonder if my hair products were ending up on my face. That should be reversed.
–tea room had quite a bit of nibbles, which was great after being in the spa a few hours.
–robes are nice. Slippers look sketch biz. Bring your own.
–the masseuses started ten minutes late, but they still kept it an hour long. Which was nice. That shows integrity. Except for the part that we were going to a show afterward, and weren’t too keen on being held up an extra ten minutes. But it didn’t bother me too much.
Cons:
–we went in to schedule the appointments, and Alexis at the front desk told us she needs to check the availability of the masseuses, and she’d call us back. About five hours later, I hadn’t received a call, so I called her. No apologies, just told me the masseuses were booked for that evening (doubt it; I’m pretty sure there was no one there) and that I could reschedule for tomorrow. Annoying that she hadn’t called me, and hadn’t apologized. I kind of got the vibe that she just hoped id forget.
–there’s only one manicure station, so you can’t go do your nails with a friend. Unless you skip the manicurist and just do each other’s nails. There are two pedicure stations– no massaging chairs.
–during the manicure, there was no music playing, so what could have been a relaxing silence was a bit awkward at times
–the masseuse, Dana, left a ton of oil on my skin. The massage was great, but I felt pretty greasy afterward. That was weird. Never had that before.
–the masseuses had fairly loud voices when they took us into the room. Most other massage places we’ve been to have low lights (like this place) and the masseuses keep their voices to a murmur. It helps relax a person.
–20% tip is MANDATORY. Um, what if I didn’t feel the service was worth a 20% tip? (We generally give that much anyway; just saying). Also, if the personnel know they’re going to get a tip automatically, what’s to say they’ll make the service top notch?
So basically, there were a few small things I would change (especially the annoying part about Alexis not calling me) but overall, I left the spa feeling refreshed and relaxed.

My experience is the fantastic beyond words. I came on a Tuesday evening was a little skeptic because a next appointment I didn’t know but I tried. Called and set a appt but they didn’t have the couples room open so they suggested back to back which I took just in case.
Literally a hour they called with great news! A room opened for us to be in the couples room.
Come 20 minutes early to browse, look at the spa area.
After we paid which includes the massage therapist is really good because when your down, you just want to be done.
As we got in our fantastic white robe we waited in the zen area and was served a glass of red wine.
Within minutes we were greeted by our therapist we entered the room, given instructions to undress and a understanding what we bought, «deep tissue massage!»
After the first half my legs, back, arms, shoulders, and neck was touch I wanted to cry and sleep that’s how good her hands were. Lol!
The table is heated do no worries about freezing… Try not to snore lol
