Applebee’s

I showed up at 7:30 pm on a Friday. Not very busy. There wasn’t a wait and I was seated right away. I waited 10 minutes and my waiter never showed. I’ve always like Applebee’s, but I’ll never go to this particular location again.

We use to frequent Applebee’s a lot over the years, but I feel like the chain has
Gone down hill the past few years. The booth we were sat at had a sticky table. My husband and I both ordered the bourbon street steak. I always loved this steak. I ordered Medium rare and my husband got medium. When they came out his was done and mine barely had even the slightest bit of faint pink in the thickest part of the steak.
The waitress never came back to ask is if our steak was cooked correctly. To me a good server will either ask you to cut the steak to make sure it’s cooked to your liking before they leave the table or come
Back in a few minutes and ask. We were hungry so we didn’t try to flag down anyone. To send them back. Mine tastes like processed meat and my husband’s was like leather.
The manager finally came
Around to ask how things were and I told him both steaks were over cooked. His response was sometimes the plate being so hot cooks them longer. As I said we’ve ordered this dish for years so we know better! It won’t cook a MR to well done or even a medium. He walked off and then came back 5 – 10
Min later and said have dessert on me. Ummm no thank you. We won’t be back. Waitress finally came back and asked and we told her as well and she just blamed the cooks and they don’t listen to what they tell
Them. We won’t be back here. It needs a facelift and better management. We saw someone else having issues with their meal as well.

Just kidding. I don’t eat here. Try a local place for the same price and have a better meal.

oh my gosh this is the worst Applebees ever. The server was sloooooooow. And she said «do you want to wait 20 minutes to order so it will be happy hour and your food and drinks will be half price??? I think not we said. However when we ordered a burger, she states, we are out of BEEF. No beef in the whole place. 20 minutes after we ordered a draft beer she was back with «we are out of that kind» oh well, by this time beer was half price and we were parched! One diner wanted Dr. Pepper though, sorry! out of that too! and by the way she said as we scanned the menu for something else, we are out of Shrimp.
Everyone in the place had thier coat on as there was no heat. She told us the manager was going to turn the heat on (up?) for us but it never happened.
NOT going back.

I would not come back to this Applebees. Granted, it’s been a few years since I’ve been to one, however I remembered it being much better. If you’re with an all adult party, this place is probably fine. If you have kids and you plan on ordering from the kids menu, don’t come here.
First, we ordered the chips and salsa, which was awful. The chips tasted stale and were just like the cheap Wal-​Mart generic tortilla chip. The salsa was ok.
My wife loved her food and my meal was pretty good, however my kid’s food was unacceptable. Two of my kids wanted macaroni and cheese and I promise you that it was Kraft macaroni and cheese that they brought out. I know it was Kraft because I’ve made it 100 times, and it wasn’t even made well. So, each kids meal was $ 4 for 20 cents worth of Kraft macaroni and cheese. My kids didn’t like it and ended up eating off of my plate.

The 2 for $ 20 is a crazy good deal! My wife and I ate with two full entrees and an appetizer for just $ 26! And now we can barely move…

This is your typical Applebee’s Grill and Bar. Good food with good prices. It never disappoints but can be crowded on game nights. Their parking lot seems a bit crowded because the spaces are very close together. Because of their location I believe they tried to fit as many spots as possible into a small space. This place is usually full if you go on an average night.
