Just had lunch here and found a curly piece of hair in my food. After complaining to the manager he rudely told me too bad. I’ve red many reviews about people finding all kinds of discusting things in their food. Do NOT eat here!!!

For a buffet, it is a Five star. It’s always packed with people. Food is fresh, barbecue ribs are delicious. They have steak as well, you have to ask for that, the quality is alright for a price like that. Probably not gonna go back for a while, it literally killed me. Not bad choice once a while.

There are a multitude of options at Golden Corral. The appeal of this restaurant is quantity over quality. This is the favorite restaurant of an older couple that I am friends with and I always take them here on their birthdays. Saturday we went with another friend to have a early Thanksgiving brunch. We arrived at 9:45 for the breakfast buffet. The price is $ 8.99 and it is definitely worth it! They have everything from biscuits, eggs, bacon, pancakes, French toast, sausage, grits, to even a mysterious food called«bacon candy.» I was disappointed in the fruit options-many of them seemed to come from a can. My friends told me that if you stay past 10:45 they begin to put out the lunch options. We stayed until past 12 and enjoyed lunch in addition to breakfast! Their salad bar is basic, but still good. I was excited to see baby corn. I love baby corn. The service is always friendly here, but if you stay for hours(like my friends always do), be prepared to have to flag down your server for drink refills.

If I’m looking for a place to spoil my diet or to attempt to explode, this is it. I call GC the hog trough. This is probably Lexington’s largest and most crowded buffet… and we have a several. Don’t knock them when you find a hair, it more than likely came from one of the 100 people who passed by before you. If you go on the weekends before a certain time, you can get the breakfast buffet and then they change the items out to lunch and you get fresh lunch items for too… that’s if you’re feeling like a real piggy, which is usually when we go here, right? My last experience at the GC, I had called ahead and reserved a party room for 30+ people at least a month in advance and called two more times as reminders, low and behold when we got there it wasn’t reserved and people were in the rooms. I was beyond frustrated! Bad management, and no apologies.

As far as Golden Corrals go this one is on par. The worst part is how busy it can get leaving long waits on items you may most be desiring to eat. Mashed Potatoes and Meat Loaf are forever running out for example. If you are fat and cheap… you’ll be back no worries. Lexington is a large enough city and Id like to imagine it could support at least one more buffet. Long story short… BUILD another Golden Corral.

WOW! This is my dream restaurant! Five star no doubt. It has everything I would want and it has all the different kind of food you can eat(well Americanized food at least). You have your full fledged salad bar, stocked with toppings of meats, cheeses, dressings, and fruits; you have your meats from chicken to the red meats, heck EVENFISH! You have Chinese food and Mexican food; you have desserts like mousse cake, pies, cookies, cotton candy, ice cream, and a HUGEFONDUE chocolate fountain to dip anything pre-sticked into(strawberries, rice crispie treays, pineapple, etc.) Service is fast and free refills! Man! I wish I had known about this place sooner. I am going back every time my 10% budget falls into the price. Only like $ 12 for all you can eat, including steaks, how you want them.

My parents insist on eating at Golden Corral whenever they see one. They enjoy the selection of food, ranging from tropical shrimp to caesar salad. I’ve been to many Golden Corrals. This is undoubtedly one of the better ones. It has a chocolate fountain, which you can dip skewers of strawberries, rice crispy treats, etc into. It has sweet fresh fruit. It has a great wait staff and service. This was my first time to Kentucky, so I didn’t know what to expect, but the patrons here seemed a bit… genetical deficient. I don’t know how better to phrase this… The price here for dinner was reasonable. I would return here if given the chance.

Golden Corral is one of those places that just seems to be happy with it’s place in the restaurant strata… solidly in the middle. I only visit GC when I’m with my family. Normally, we head out here when we’re on the road and aren’t familiar with the area restaurants and are starving and don’t want to risk something unknown. The service here was great. The two servers in our area were working tirelessly the entire 1.5hrs we were here. The food was fine and so was the variety. My biggest complaint with GC is usually at the steak area, where they usually overcook my fat and connective tissue laden protein. Here the steak had minimal fat and was cooked to my specifications. I very much enjoyed it. Salad bar was a little wilted. My mother in law said that this was likely the best Golden Corral she’s been to yet, and I would agree. Still a 3 star establishment, but there’s nothing wrong with that.
