We all know that ice cream trucks are weird. But these trucks are different, in a good way. My first experience with Kona Ice was at an event. I’m not quite sure if they’re hired or charge by the hour or charge the event host per snow cone that they make and serve. They had more flavors that I can even begin to remember. They even have a flavor dispenser on the outside of the truck, on a child’s level. My second experience was when they drove by my house, just like the weird ice cream trucks do, but this time even my husband was intrigued. We headed to the curb and greeted the non weird driver. She was was very friendly and explained that there are several trucks in the area, not just one.

Our community had an event where Kona Ice attended. The truck was inviting looking(lots of great colors/graphics), clean and the attendant greeted us with a smile. The kids-size was just right for cooling off quickly on this hot summer day and being there are so many options, I couldn’t choose just one! Rainbow!(Cherry, piña coloda, & tropi-kona flavors). My husband opted for Mango which turned out to be my favorite. How does he always do that?! So if you’re having a special event give them a call! Not a fan of throwing the party? Look for them at a local outdoor event, you may just see them set-up there… stop that truck!
