Jalapeño cheese bun is always on point. The hand-​formed parties are really good. It’s a little pricey for Liberty, but I hope they make it because they’re always top notch.

We were very happy with the burgers. Very tasty. I enjoyed the meat and the quality of the toppings. They weren’t shy with the mustard, which is the way I like them. O-​rings were really good. Some of the best I’ve gotten in a while. The fries were hot but not very tasty. They were under salted, for sure and could possibly have stayed in the frier a tad longer. If you ate them with ketchup, they probably would have been better.

Grabbed a burger on the way to Port Arthur to fish. We had no problem, the wait was a little long, but other than that.
The burger was decent, better than fast food. I wouldn’t object to going here again. One thing, if you get one to go with plans on eating it in the car, tell them to either leave the lettuce off or go light… it was a challenge.
The onion rings are the best I’ve had in a while, excepting that they could have been a little better seasoned. If you’re dipping them in ketchup, they’ll be fine. We of course were not.
Fries were… Meh.

If you want to pay too much for an average burger, this is the place to go!
I had great expectations for this little joint. We had to been in Liberty a few months earlier for a trial at the court house and when we broke for lunch, a few people mentioned this place as one of our lunch options. I don’t recall anyone raving about it, but I think I recall «good burgers» being said. So fast forward a few months and I’m in Liberty at lunch time.
It’s a walk up and order kind of place. You get your flatware, napkins and drink and have a seat until they call your number. I was a little takenaback by the prices so I ordered a simple burger and fries with water and paid $ 7.56. The fries were not good, only warm and no crisp at all and the burger was okay, just okay. The best part of the lunch was listing to a table full of men obviously on a lunch break from work, sharing stories about their days in the oil fields. They were amusing.
I needed to bring something home for hubby to eat and instead of getting him a burger here, I chose to make another stop at Mike’s in Dayton and bought him a burger there that he said was outta this world good. (BTW that was our first time ever eating anything at Mike’s and now we’re somewhat regulars, especially Saturday morning breakfast)

I was with 4 others for lunch. Three of them ordered Chicken Fried Steak with Onion Rings. I decided to follow their lead. This was first time I have ever eaten Chicken Fried Steak. It was an excellent choice! The gravy was the perfect thickness and nicely seasoned. The meat melted in my mouth. The Onion Rings were nicely breaded and quite tasty. The portion was very generous. I would definitely come back again!

The staff were nice. Restaurant was clean.
Food did not taste good.
Overpriced. A cheeseburger and onion rings (of that quality) should not run 11 – 12 dollars.

I wanted to realllly realllly like this place. I mean I do, but I don’t love it. Does that make sense? I took my kids here and ordered burgers and cheese fries. The meal was just meh.
It was a family-​friendly environment, which deserves a few stars since I always hesitate taking my kids anywhere without the help of a couple of armed security guards lol That made me feel a bit more comfortable since my daughter kept climbing on the table and trying to run after other customers’ children.
There was just no flavor. Even with all of the veggies and condiments added, I still wanted to kick myself for not just going to the drive-​thru at Whataburger in the first place. I had realllllllly wanted to go to Jax, but I figured I’d let my kids act up somewhere new for a change.
I don’t see myself returning. I will give two thumbs up to the staff. They were very friendly and stayed on top of cleaning duties. I do wish this new establishment the best of luck. It does appear to be a popular place for the older crowd.

An average hamburger. I thought I would give them a try but won’t be back. Why go here when Jax is right around the corner? Got the fried egg burger and asked for medium rare with an over easy egg. They over cooked both my burger and egg. I also had onion rings and they are clearly of the frozen variety. Having Jax nearby almost caused me to give this place two stars but the food wasn’t fair, it was average.
