The BEST breakfast ever! Unfortunately we ate breakfast here on our way to the airport. Otherwise, we would have eaten here repeatedly during our vacation. The Loco Moco with bacon and cheese is to die for! Highly recommend!

Heard so many good things about this place, so I had high expectations. I ordered a loco moco looked good and mouth-watering but really wasn’t. In fact it was tasteless. Halfway through, I felt something crunchy & immediately spit it out. I observed it & what do you know. Eggshells. I was immediately turned off and stopped eating. This place might be good/great for other people, but it definitely wasn’t for me. I won’t be going back.

First timer, did not know what to expect. When someone suggested this place over the phone I thought they meant Denny’s, but driving through town I recognized it’s Dani’s, huge difference. Service by auntie was impeccable for a morning rush and one server. Order taken and served within 5 to 10 min. I was taken back wen i was served a pitcher of Kona coffee, I thought auntie was being nice to me, but noticed every customer had one on their table too, good for about 3 or 4 cups, and more incredible than that was coffee is one dolla! Good local food is choke in the islands, but service with Aloha is hard to find, keep it up Dani’s, love it!

Food was fairly good. Then my wife decided to use the bathroom. Soured the entire experience. Come on folks, it’s just not that difficult!

I thought that Dani’s Restaurant was average at best. It is definitely a place for the local crowd but it did not appeal to my taste at all. I usually like going where the locals eat but this place was subpar and I will not return.

2nd time here. Love it, reminds me of my Maui’s Tasty Crust… it has that kine ambience. Last time I had the Kailua pig omlete, which was delicious. This morning, had the 1 buttermilk pancake, 4 bacon, 2 easy over, and side of hash brown. ONO-LICIOUS. Simple big breakfast. Thanks Dani’s!

This is my first time here since I was in town for work from Oahu, I was here for breakfast, both the service and food was good, I had the hamburger steak with over easy eggs and was really tasty. My diet coke was refilled quickly, the food was delivered promptly, and will definitely visit again when I have to go to Kauai in another few weeks.

I used to have at least one meal at Dani’s whenever I got a field trip on Kauai, and I haven’t been there for the last six years. So when I took a short vacation with my kids on the spring break, I decide to order some take out from them so I could feed the kids while waiting in the airport. Typically, I expect THIS local restaurant would serve decent food both in quality and quantity. But my visit on 03/18/2016 to Dani’s was very very disappointing. Not only the $ 8 fry noodle I ordered was not only lack of taste, but also came in such a SMALL portion that barely cover the bottom of the lunch box. Is there a new owner in place? Will not visit again and will not recommend them to my friends!

Old school, no frills, greasy spoon, Hawaiian style. The waitress said they’ve been there for 35 years. She was such a sweet woman and was very attentive. Coffee was diner coffee, but not bad. Loco moco was one of the best I’ve ever had. The rice was fresh and cooked perfect. The beef patties tasted like they weren’t from frozen, and the eggs were great and not overlooked. And the gravy… simple, fresh, and not overworked. We also had the Kalua pork omelette which was straightforward and full of that beautifully smoked piggy meat. The hash browns could’ve been crispier, but I like them extra crispy. We’re going back this week for a second dose of that loco moco and to try something else on their menu. If we ever come back to Kauai, we will definitely be returning multiple times to Dani’s.

Nothing beats the good olé Hamburger Steak w/Eggs & Rice plate! This is a must whenever I come home to visit my parents on Kauai. Dani’s has always been our«go to» breakfast spot and I can say that we’ve been a patron of this establishment for at least 20 years. My order has always been the same, a hamburger steak w/eggs & rice. The lovely ladies usually have an idea of what my order is before I could even get a word out at times. I would order a short stack of pancakes or hash-browns to change it up every now and then, but for the most part, it’s been the same. My parents always go with the beef stew or laulau plate. To add a little spice to your soup, I would opt in for their chili water. Their coffee use to be complementary but just recently I learned that they started to charge. My parents loved the fact that coffee was unlimited and were somewhat phased when by this slight change. The restaurant itself is small and perhaps outdated but don’t let that deter you from giving this place a shot!

I just had the best local Mocho I’ve had in years! It was 2 homemade beef patties, with ono gravy, I ordered a side Mac/potato salad. My husband had the Ham and cheese omelette, cooked perfectly, with nice Krispy on the outside and soft on the inside hashbrowns. Service was quick and friendly. Looking forward to coming back again!

A wonderful story of son taking over the family business. More than just a meal, eating at Dani’s let’s you be a part of an institution that Kaua’i calls its own being shared from generation to generation. In an era where family small businesses are discontinuing, either from being sold, or just closing shop due to family members lack of interest, Dani’s is truly a good-news story, especially for Kaua’i. A restaurant with Character, Dani’s can be quite loud at times. To some extent, this is perfect for families and you don’t feel too bad that your children are loud – everyone is loud. Dani’s has all of the island classics, some of which go back to the plantation days of Kaua’i. You may enjoy everything from a Hawaiian plate, to Saimin, to traditional Pancakes; there is something for everyone and every palate. My favorite is the«Loco Moco.» Dani’s uses their own homemade patties, an important factor to good Loco Moco; forget places that use Costco, pre-formed patties, or the like.

There was plenty parking out front even though it was crowded inside. There were a lot of construction workers inside so I knew it had to be good – or at least filling. The staff was very friendly and even though I stuck out in my suit the braddahs were cool and I received several howzit nods making me feel welcomed. I ordered the mushroom omelette which used canned mushrooms instead of, I don’t wanna say fresh mushrooms, I guess as opposed to non-canned mushrooms. I could tell the omelette was cooked in quite a bit of oil or buttah which made for a fairly greasy plate but the hash browns soaked it up nicely and I must guiltily admit, I enjoyed it. With a 530am flight in and a long day ahead of me I appreciated the full carafe of coffee they placed on my table. Great friendly local service and good satisfying breakfast.

Of all my breakfasts spots this one was the worst unfortunately. You can tell that it’s a good spot to feel like a local and feeling that local energy is nice, especially bright and early when most people are chatting and catching up. It’s not for everyone, its very cafeteria-style seating(One big room). Parking is a nightmare. The food, was meh. I wanted to go with the Kahlua Pulled Pig omelette that sounded awesome! But unfortunately, the omelette its self was watery and the pig was scarce and kind of soggy too. My last breakfast in Kauaii! My wife played it safe and had pancakes and eggs and it was fine. So if you are going here, play it safe.

Had the BCLM Bacon Cheeseburger Loco Moco and Mango Hot cakes. Seat yourself kinda place but the service was great. Nothing beats the hospitality of little old ladies. They immediately brought me a fresh pot of coffee which is perfect as I’m not human until I’ve had coffee. And then took my order. Food is good for a diner and will hold me over for the entire day, really. Large portions.

I walked in an was directed to sit at a table that was still filled with dirty dishes from the previous diner. We waited almost 10 minutes for the table to be cleared and another 5 minutes without having our order taken or drinks brought around. We walked.

Yummmm!!! I had the bacon cheeseburger loco moco– only because so many people recommended it here in Unilocal.I have to say it is one of the best loco mocos I’ve had in a long time. The service is quick, the food comes out quick, and the portion sizes are good. The prices are reasonable. I just wish they were open for dinner.

Back in the islands again! This time in Kauai, our favorite island. Found thru search and reviews Dani’s restaurant. Definitely a Locals place! Large portions and prices very reasonable. Coffee included and it is great. Given the time you will wait after ordering(understandable as it was packed on this Memorial Day morning) you will be happy for the great coffee, The wait is not a ding on this business– it ain’t fast food you come for. The blueberry pancakes, BCLM, guava juice & coffee — a return visit is required.

Dani’s Restaurant is a casual, no frills diner. Their Menu features meat and eggs like steak, vienna sausage, portuguese sausage, or kalua pig; omlettes like seafood or ham and cheese; and pancakes, waffles and french toast. Their Loco Moco was unremarkable. The hamburger was dry and the gravy could have been any brown gravy mix. The Two Eggs with Sausage and Rice was fine, a basic breakfast. Come to Dani’s for a hearty, cheap breakfast that will fill you up and get you on your way. It’s a good place to stop for a quick, sit down breakfast on your way to work.
