Stopped in for lunch yesterday. I ordered the curry chicken salad wrap and it was very delicious. The staff were friendly and helpful. Not to mention it is one of the cutest café’s I’ve been to. I have to make it back before I leave Litchfeild.

Please do yourself a favor and check out this cheerful, delicious place. Patty and Martin are talented chefs and a lovely people. It’s clear that Meraki is a labor of love. The food is awesome and fresh and everyone you meet that works there will make you feel like family, especially the ever effervescent Heather. Try the daily quiche. The havarti sandwich is addictive. The catering is great too :-)

Stopped in this morning on our way through Litchfield. When you walk in you are greeted by Heather, she is amazing. So helpful and kind. There is much to choose from and they serve breakfast foods all day! Thank you. We ordered a breakfast sandwich… the egg still gooey, the chabatta bread soft… the bacon tasty and done perfectly. May be the best egg sandwich ever. The other sandwich was the roasted vegetable. Golden and red beets with arugula and goat cheese on a mutli-grain. Was surprised it was cold not warm, but it was fantastic! We had side orders of brocholini salad and a Brussels sprout salad… both ultra fresh with a light and tasty dressing. High recommend this place! If there are a lot of cars, you may have a wait both for food and to sit down, but with people this friendly and food this good… I didn’t mind at all.

Meraki’s is where I want to get my dinner on the nights I don’t feel like cooking. The front counter is full of pasta, quinoa, and other salads, with a smaller case on top of muffins and smaller pastries. The traffic seems to ebb and flow — we walked in right as two parties were walking out, and right before two more parties came in, seemingly intent on getting their own dinners. Seating isn’t ample, but given the limited parking spaces how many people can really be there at once? The servers were friendly, and the food was delicious. My grilled cheese havarti with bacon was cheesey without an overwhelming amount of grease. It had a side salad of blue berries, apple, watermelon, and blackberries which we’ve started replicating at home.

This café is amazing! The food is fresh, unique and delicious. I had the quesadilla, the beet salad, the garbanzo salad, the chicken salad and the coconut chocolate chip cookie. All was to die for. This is going to be the new hot spot of Litchfield once the word gets out!
