Went here for the first time during restaurant and treated a friend. This old house is beautifully decorated inside. The wait staff is all over you(which I adore) and the bar knows how to make a martini. We enjoyed a three course meal that was just delicious — including dessert. It was bit expensive but I would go again for a special occasion. I am looking forward to enjoy a Happy Hour there this summer!

I was not impressed at all and would not eat here again. We showed up and they couldn’t find our reservation. They suggest maybe I had made a reservation at the Brentwood restaurant in Ohio or California. I had to show them the reservation confirmation on my phone before they were satisfied. We were seated and ordered. Took half an hour for food to be served. Food was just warm, nothing hot. Chicken and flounder we ordered were just okay; we have had better. Desert was a French apple tart but it was cold and hard. There are much better restaurants in Myrtle Beach besides this one.

Dined at The Brentwood while in town for a work convention. I had the lobster bisque risotto which was fabulous! Not too rich and the perfectly savory. For dessert I had the crème brûlée and it did not disappoint. Two of my co workers had the chocolate soufflé and HIGHLY recommend it. Ambiance was great, service exceptional and delicious French cuisine!

Experience was the best! First the staff that greeted us were extremely friendly wishing a Happy Birthday to my friend and having the table decorated for the occasion. The waiter, I believe was Ryan was both friendly and very helpful, explaining the menu and making appropriate suggestions. The food was all I anticipated, wonderful in every way. The chocolate soufflé ended the meal with a bang. Truly it was the best decision to dine at the The Brentwood for a very special night.

Whenever we visit Ocean Isle Beach, we dine at Brentwood at least once – it’s well worth the drive. Excellent quality for the price and have never been disappointed. Great selection of appetizers and killer chocolate soufflé.

Me and my fiancé dined at the Brentwood last night. I had the duck three way which had the most delicious risotto I’ve ever had in my life. My fiancé had the grilled halibut with the peach salsa which made her face light up with every bite. We split the chocolate soufflé which was more than enough for both of us and was absolutely delicious. The Brentwood will be our new favorite place to go.

Way too expensive for the quality of food. I got the 4 course prix fixe menu which probably wasn’t worth the price except that I wanted the salmon with Béarnaise sauce. The vichyssoise was delicious. But the salmon with Béarnaise sauce tasted like it was from a cafeteria. Unexciting crunchy white rice with it. Sauce was bland and should have had some fresh tarragon. Husband got the duck special which had an excellent risotto. Took a while to get water refilled. Very small wine pour. Chocolate cake was delicious. Cute atmosphere and apparently there are ghosts in the wine bar upstairs which have been featured on the Discovery Channel.

Easily the best meal we’ve had in this area in the last 10 years. From the escargot to the Wellington to the Panna cotta, superb. Great service. Beautiful space. Truly special. Others in our party had the cotte de boeff, the halibut, the seafood crêpe, scallops with risotto and of course the boulebaise. Everyone raved. I’m not a dessert guy but my Panna cotta was amazing and everyone else in our party was equally pleased with the fondant with raspberry sauce, profiteroles, chocolate mousse and key lime with an awesome limoncello cake. Chef came out to say hello and we were extremely happy. Perfect meal to end our vacation.

Went for our second anniversary and enjoyed the Chef’s menu with wine pairings. It was truly a delectable experience. We had the escargot which were highly succulent. Followed by salad, steak and duck. The duck was AMAZING! We finished up with delicious dessert. The wine selections were great as was the service and atmosphere. They are doing renovations but it was minor with no inconvenience. I would highly recommend Brentwood for a delicious meal with a fair price.

There is nothing bad I can say about this wonderful restaurant !!! First of all, the restaurant itself is a beautiful old home that has a wonderful and cozy atmosphere. You are greeted by a very sweet hostess who seats you and it seems that every table is a great spot. Our waitress was very sweet and patient with us. We had some questions about the menu and she helped us out. We started off with a «wine flight» which is three glasses of wine and you could choose your type. I tried their white wine flight and was impressed by the amount of wine you got. I loved each one! I had the blue crab soufflé as a appetizer and it had so I have flavor and was extremely pretty on the plate. My main course was the salmon and it was prepared perfectly and had an excellent sauce. I ordered their special for dessert; a chocolate soufflé and it was worth every calorie. This restaurant is phenomenal. I’m from NYC and this restaurant would give any French restaurant there a run for its money ! If i lived down here, the Brentwood would be my spot.

We ate dinner here tonight and it was scrumptious. My mother-in-law had the Coquille St Jacques and my wife had the(iron chef) award-winning shrimp and scallops, while I had the black grouper, with each of us saying the meal was among the best we had ever had. It is worth taking a walk around the other rooms in the house since the settings are so unusual. See it and taste it for yourselves.

We decided to go out for a respite from the rest of the family at the beach house. We picked this place because of the overall menu but what really sold us was the happy hour $ 5 appetizers. There was plenty of parking when we arrived and, at 5pm, I think we were the first to arrive for dinner. The hostess sat us at the only table in the bar area. We were greeted quickly by our server and the hostess brought us waters. We ordered the sparkling wine and yuengling on special, and both were delicious. Our server was very friendly and made great conversation with us. We also ordered the boom boom shrimp, the escargot, the she crab soup, and the bread basket. Everything was very tasty and very fresh. We also shared an entrée of rack of lamb which was incredible! I thought that the blackberry demi glacé would be really sweet but it was actually mouth-wateringly savory. Even the simple maison salad had a delicious miso dressing. We finished the evening with a Gran Marnier flambé crème brûlée, which was amazing. This was one of the best meals and very surprising for what I expected of cuisine at the beach. Highly recommend!

On April 1st eighteen of our neighborhood«fools» thoroughly enjoyed our private cooking class with Chef Eric. As we drank three wines matched to our courses, the chef expertly prepared examples of each dish– she crab soup, Beef Wellington and crème brûlée l’orange . Following along with printed recipes, the chef clearly explained preparation steps, techniques and tips as he cooked before us. Chef Eric welcomed our questions and comments and entertained us by blending his depth of cooking with wit and interesting anecdotes. Some of the more confident among us were tapped to help too. The food, of course was delicious and we all left with full stomachs, appreciative of our wine and the nerve to try these dishes at home. This cooking class was great experience that our entire group loved. I would recommend this as a great group activity– highlighted by food, wine, entertainment and instruction. You can’t go wrong at the Brentwood!

We were here for Christmas dinner and it was wonderful. Eric personally oversaw everyone’s meal, which was done perfectly. The«combo menu» highlights the best of the best and let’s you enjoy incredible food, such as oyster Rockefeller then Prime Rib done perfectly, and finish off with a home made Yule Log. Individually, the portions are not large, but you will enjoy eating everything and NOT feeling like you are blowing up. The only crazy thing that happened was the waitress spilled Au jus down my leg while serving the tables prime rib. Thankfully, I had on dark blue slacks and it want scolding. Only problem was every single dog in the neighborhood howled whenever I walked by.

My husband and I had the joy of trying the seven course tasting menu. We chose to get the wine pairings as well which was an excellent decision. From the moment we arrived we were on cloud nine. The experience was so professional, delicious, delightful. The Silver Fork tasting was delicious and decadent, and fit into our budget for a very special meal while on vacation. What I really appreciated is that they accommodated our diet-my husband and I eat a pescatarian diet(vegetarian with sea food) and have had trouble finding a tasting menu that would fit those restrictions. The Brentwood made amazing substitutions(gourmet fried green tomato subbed for sweetbreads, for example). The portions were perfect too-I had enough of each dish to appreciate the food, but even after seven courses we felt full without feeling stuffed to the gills. The wine pairings were also on point, and really added an excellent dimension to the meal. The corn risotto was the best I’ve ever had, and I’m Italian. Another highlight was our interaction with the owner, who was friendly and spent quite some time with us. He even sat at our table and shared a drink. If you are anywhere near here, you absolutely must visit. The quality and value are well worth it!
