Vastly over rated. We did not need a donut shop just blocks away from a Little Rock institution, Shipley’s donuts. I am not a coffee drinker, so don’t get all the obsession over DD’s coffee. Again, Starbucks is just down the street. What is waaaaaaay down the street is a wonderful and successful Vietnamese/Thai restaurant that use to be here, until landlord forced them out for this square peg in a round hole. Thanks, idiots!

Not quite sure if it’s because I bought some munchkins and donuts at night or if it’s just this location, but the donuts were not impressive. I’ve had a sampling of several DDs while living near Boston(I can think of at least 9DD that I pass commuting to work there), and I don’t remember the donuts being this unsatisfactory. I still have munchkins left on my kitchen island from last week because I can’t finish it, and I usually kill them. The iced coffee and lattes are the reason I still go here. Service was slow, but I think it is more because customers were being indecisive and asking lots of questions about the donuts/drinks rather than the workers being inefficient(at least that was what I observed). I suppose there could be a better system that would make things move faster, but I’ll give them time to figure that out since it’s still relatively new. Besides the donuts, my other complaint would be people who can’t follow signs in the parking lot and the street at this location. There’s a sign that specifically shows no left turn onto the closest entrance to DD, yet people stop in the middle of Cantrell(right before the median turn lane starts) to try and turn left. You know who you are *points finger*. I rather die from a donut-induced death than an accident at DD.

Ok new business opened just a few days and you know this place will be slammed since its a new opening but you only have one of your two registers opened as the line is building to the door? Really? On top of that, the cashier who takes the order also has to turn around after each order and get each customers donuts and box them up which just adds to the wait time. The donuts are ok and the variety is a plus like the Oreo Donuts, but please get some customer service happening here by utilizing that 2nd register until business slows!

Having grown up in Ohio, I have fond memories of Dunkin’ Donuts from my childhood, so needless to say, I was happy to learn Little Rock finally got a Dunkin. I will preface the rest of this review saying that this place is less than two weeks old, so part of what I’m about to say will be moot soon and I will try to edit at that time. This morning was my second visit to Dunkin for some of their great donuts, but my third attempt. Last week, I attempted to visit around 7:30 in the morning only to find a line wrapped around the restaurant for the drive through. No biggy I thought, I’ll just go in and order… even longer line there. So I left. Saturday, I tried again, this time around 10:30 in the morning and while there were a few cars in front of me, the line went quickly. I ordered a half doz glazed and was on my way. As I remembered, the donuts were light and fluffy, but thicker than Krispy Kreme or Shipley and less of a sweet glaze on them than the other two as well. This morning, I decided to brave the lines(and it was a 20 minute wait before I even ordered) and tried a breakfast sandwich along with a dozen donuts for the office. I ordered a ham and cheese croissant which was decent, but nothing to write home about — our local coffee shop has better. But that’s not what dunkin DONUTS is known for, now is it. So, if you want a good coffee(bleh) or some excellent donuts, then this is where its at… just be prepared to wait.
