They have the best price on my favorite wine and are always so nice! This is a regular stop for me, especially on wine day.

It’s easy to find, it’s got enough selection that I can find what I’m looking for, and it’s even got a few things the wife likes! Really, if you’re not looking for anything too specialized, you can’t go wrong here. I’ve had great experiences with the staff, had some fun looking for unfamiliar things to try, and popped in on more than one occasion to get libations for a fancy home-cooked dinner. It gets three stars because getting in and out of the parking lot is *not* fun, and because the selection, while adequate, is limited. Although, bonus points for being able to do laundry next door!

The caption for two-stars on Unilocal is «Meh. I’ve experienced better,» which I think applies well here. If you happen to be nearby and don’t have very particular needs, it seems just fine. This place isn’t the worst, but if you’re interested in wine or craft beer, or helpful staff, I strongly recommend the trip out to Colonial Wine and Spirits. I was disappointed to find that the ‘Wines of the Worlds’ room was largely(80−90%) populated by wines from CA, OR, and WA(though they had quite a few of these!). They did have some Argentinian malbecs and New Zealand sauvignan blancs(what I came for), but I wound up standing in front of each section googling various wines for a while because there was no information and no one to help. Also 10% off wine is now only Tuesday and they no longer give a courtesy discount as suggested by the previous review.

Along with the usual liquors and such, Markham Liquor has a pretty decent wine selection. Though the parking lot gets pretty cramped and is kinda in the hood, I gave this place four stars because of the people… 1. they’re really nice and are good as far as giving suggestions on what sorts of wine/liquor you want. 2. when i had to move, they were nice enough to give me their spare wine boxes and helped me put them in my car 3. 10% off wine days are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays! shhhh, and if you whine enough and say you THOUGHT it just so happened to be the day you walk in, they just might give you the discount anyway. :) yay! 4. Oh… and if you’re worried about missing any of the professional wrestling action, they have a tv at the register tuned to that. I don’t know if it’s just looking forward to that evening out or what, but I always find myself in a good mood after walking out of Markham Liquor. The people just simply know how to keep it real(or whatever that means).
