My friend and I were going to go to a different restaurant on Friday evening. We changed our minds and came here again. I ordered a thirteen inch supreme pizza with two substitutions and extra cheese. The changes and extra cheese cost more. I drank a Dr Pepper with a free refill.

Whoa. Hold the toppings. The insane amount of bacon and sausage on the pizza is a bit ridiculous. The old saying, «less is more» kept running through my head. Once I got past the toppings there just wasn’t much to offer. Maybe they are overcompensating for something that is lacking Also, a country western themed pizza place? Very odd. I guess I should have known better. Next time I will search for a pizza place named, «Guiseppes» or maybe, «Giovannes».

Went there for a late lunch around 3pm. Friendly staff and fast service, I thought this was supposed to be a pizza place but we got what looked and tasted like a frozen Pizza. We ordered the 16″ Big Dan’s Pizza, and the toppings were plentiful, it was cut in about 12 slices and it only took 2 slices to fill me up. But the doe was definately frozen/premade. I worked in a pizza restaurant and threw pizzas for years so I know what a handmade Pizza looks like, that was the only bummer. Other than that, not a bad place.

OK pizza. I’ve had better. Not what I remember from when I grew up in Little Rock in the late 80’s and early 90’s. Also can’t order by CC over the phone, which seems antiquated given the current state of the world.

Best pizza in the state. They give plenty of toppings without all the sauce. The staff is friendly and great service. The best pizza since Godfather Pizza.

Good pizza, not so good service. I don’t understand why restaurants do not have more employees when they know there is a large party coming in. We called weeks in advance to book a large party of 30 – 40, yet only one person was there to work the party. Server doesn’t have to work too hard when they know they’re getting an automatic gratuity. The credit card receipt should also indicate that there was gratuity automatically added instead of making it look like there was none. It would also be nice to have a few options other than pizza. There are a couple of salads and maybe a couple of sub options… but the menu could use a few things added to it.

I’d have to say this is my least favorite pizza in Little Rock. Very bland, not much sauce, not that much toppings and soggy, flimsy crust. Unfortunately the food just isn’t good, which is disappointing given the cool feel of the location. On the plus side: the service seemed very friendly and the food was served fast.

So glad we finally tried this place! Ordered the 16″ Big Dan(pepperoni, sausage and Canadian bacon)… Pretty awesomely perfect. They don’t skimp on toppings(seriously…toppings all the way to the crust edge) and the crust is perfect. Reasonably priced, the pizza was $ 19. I didn’t get a salad because the salad bar was pretty tiny so I skipped it, but the people at the next table over got salads and it looked pretty fresh. Service was good, prices fair, pizza was great, parking was good. Will definitely go back.

We’ve been a fan for a number of years when we visit Little Rock. We visited on 3÷14÷15 late in the evening. We were visiting relatives and we had a large number of hungry kids and adults with us and they took good care of us. The toppings were great and the pizza was fresh. My only complaint is that I called in our order prior to arriving and upon our order being served, I requested an additional pizza. Half an hour later, I asked how much longer it would be and was told that there wasn’t an order for an additional pizza. Our waitress took care of it and made sure that we were happy in the end. I just wish that we had been taken care of the first time. We will be back when we are in Little Rock, it has become a tradition! I hope the service issues get fixed by the time we come back again.

Horrible experience! I ate there probably 3 months ago. The pizza was literally soggy like it had been thrown into water when it arrived to the table. The service was rude! I will not be back!

Great service, disappointing pizza. Mushrooms are obviously from a can and the crust was undercooked… as in white, not browned.

Really good place to eat. Service was good. The salad bar is nice the ranch dressing they have is yummy. We had the gold nuggets as an appetizer they were good and the pizza was very tasty as well. Good place to go.

I just don’t get the appeal of this place. From the headache of a location right down to the pizza itself. If your a fan of toppings this is the place for you but be prepared for those topping to come sliding off your slice. The«famous» salad bar is often dirty with questionable looking greens. For my money I’d head over to Grady’s for a good hearty pizza. Plus they have great salads that always look fresh. I gave Shotgun Dans 3 stars b/c it obviously has the local appeal since it’s been around Little Rock for years but outside of that there’s not to this pizza dive.

For a sit down pizza place, This in my opinion is the worst pizza in town. I gave it 2 stars bc it isn’t awful but it’s far from good. The salad bar was extra the service was good the restaurant was nothing special on the inside

Shotgun Dan’s came recommended by many co-workers, but I didn’t get why. While the pizza is technically a thin crust pizza, the amount of toppings made it sloppy to eat. Even though I just got Pep and Sausage, it was overly thick and just didn’t work well together. Interesting location and somewhat helpful staff. I got the feeling that coming in during their last hour of being open was a inconvenience.

I recently ate at Shotgun Dans(first time since I moved away in 2004) and wow, has it ever gone downhill… The first thing I noticed was that my favorite sandwich, the Geronimo, was significantly smaller than I remember… The«Loaded Barrel» pizza was big for the price; but my impression was that it just didn’t have much taste. The ingredients were not present in the proper proportions(way way too much sausage, not enough sauce, veggies or cheese). There was so much meat that when it cooked it got the crust really soggy with sausage grease. Oh, and soggy is also a word I would use to describe their wings too. I guess the one plus was that the pizza got(a little) better when served cold the next morning for breakfast(perhaps all that sausage makes a good«breakfast pizza»??

I appreciate the unsane(yes I said unsane) amounts of toppings Shotgun Dans puts on their pizza, but they do little to overcome the blandness of the crust, cheese, and sauce. Worth mentioning is the shady outlook of the place – it’s just ghetto and feels somewhat unsafe for some reason. Also, the layout of the place is crowded and there is not a lot of space between tables. Service, was decent, but slow. Overall, the pizza was very disappointing… I didn’t try to take the leftover slices home.

Good thin crust pizza with decent toppings. Lacking salad bar, but it’s okay. Just a pizza specialized place and not salad right? Friendly waitress. Go nom on the pizza, it’s good.
