Stopped into this store around 2pm on Saturday to buy a few things and the mgmt here has changed. When I went to check out the lines were backed up as usual and one of the kiosks was not working. A manager was at front directing the flow and quickly got another staffer to check. Way to go Walmart for listening to your customer base!!!

I wasn’t particularly thrilled when I saw that this Walmart was being built, but I didn’t really know what to expect. I waited a couple months after its opening to go, and was pleasantly surprised when I did. Everything is consistently clean and well-stocked. The bakery section has a great variety of cakes, pies, and breads, all good tasting. The prices are comparable – and sometimes a little lower – to grocery store prices, but it’s nice to be able to get other things as well – a really good variety of kitchen, bathroom, cleaning supplies, pharmacy, camping supplies, etc. It’s almost a one-stop shop. I wish that there was more variety of brands among some of the items. There are a few major brands that this Walmart didn’t seem to carry. On the last few times that I’ve gone, the produce looked fine, but was due to expire within 2 – 3 days. For that reason, I have to buy my produce elsewhere, which makes me skip Walmart Market shopping completely. There’s a good self-checkout area – in theory. The last two times I went, my machine malfunctioned, and there was no one around. Major pain. On my last visit, I was sick and purchased a Neti Pot. When I got to my car, I noticed that the price on my receipt was higher than the price posted in the store. When I went to the customer service desk, the employee refunded my money promptly. It was not a big deal to begin with, but I was glad it wasn’t a hassle. All in all, I like the Walmart Neighborhood Market. I would return if the produce was fresher/had a longer life.
